Yegolovich Von Butcher, or as he is known as Depravitas the Defiler, The Butcher, The Defiler, or The Violator, is a recurring antagonist of Multiversal Legends. He is a demon hired to be Niklovich's henchman, and together they sowed chaos across multiple dimensions and planets for their own entertainment. He is also the Prime Omega of depravity, barbarism, and savagery, being so feared and despise that even worshipers of Ravagus and the Prophet of Chaos himself loath him and his master Niklovich. While Niklovich is the most dominant and intelligent in their partnership, Depravitas acts as the brawns to Niklovich's brains but also almost being as manipulative as his master/partner. He was banished to an unknown dimension due to his abhorred actions but makes several attempts to break free from his imprisonment in order to continue to spread madness across the omniverse.
He is a recurring antagonist of Champions of the Multiverse and Pandora Files, and a major antagonist of the Ben Diablo series.
History
Background
Little is known abut Depravitas's past, except he graduated from college called Morvey's Community College and decided to use his intellect to a meat store and became a regular butcher. However, he was also a psychopathic Prime Omega once living in a dimension where he would wantonly terrorize the inhabitants for his enjoyment. It's unknown why he acts like this or how he became the way he is, though sources states he used to start out as friendly "before he snapped" and used animals for genetic experiments so he'll illegally sell them for profit.
Causing a vicious cycle of mass murders, torture, terror, slavery, and various evil acts, until he grew bored of his home world and decided to summon Nekrozoth to destroy it all. Due to his wicked nature, Nekrozoth saw potential for him and recruited him to be part of his empire.
He became a apprentice to Nekrozoth himself, learning a variety of torture methods, deprave acts, and sometimes genetic experiments. One day, he accidentally mutated himself in a lab accident, which got him such a disgusting appearance. However, it also granted him psyche abilities of his own, able to become a powerful entity in the psyche realm. He met Niklovich when he was still learning under Nekrozoth, and the two would later on decided to join forces to spread chaos across the omniverse. He also participated in the Prime Omegas' regime including their military power, taking part in their numerous acts of war crimes and crimes against the omniverse during their wars against other dimensions. He acted as Nekrozoth's personal torture technician, having conduct numerous torture methods on many of Nekrozoth's enemies for information or if Nekrozoth was ever bored.
Due to his reputation, he was named "Depravitas" for his infinite depravity and sadism, and has done a number of kidnappings to torture people and do heinously cruel experiments on them. He soon acted as a " psychopathic demon for hire", working with other despicable villains in committing heinous crimes for his own end and sadistic pleasure.
He was soon recruited by Niklovich himself, who hired him out of a interest in him due to his reputation and inhumane nature. He became a high-ranking member in the Carnage Circle who helps Niklovich in creating chaos onto other dimensions for the fun of it, driving people to madness, killing countless people across dimensions, and bring chaos and destruction to planets and other dimensions. However after the war on Earth, Y'golonac and Niklovich were sealed away into the Pandora Dimension for their crimes against the omniverse.
Champions of the Multiverse/Forces
Depravitas, albeit an avatar of him, makes his debut in the "Pandora's Box" story arc after Niklovich with the help from the mad sorcerer Abdul Alhazred freed him. In response he killed Abdul when Niklovich decided he didn't need him anymore and helped him in his attempt mass genocide on all life on Earth. To distract the heroes, Niklovich has Depravitas go on a killing spree in the middle of New York City while Niklovich collects the last remaining artifacts for his plans, something Depravitas took glee in. Depravitas went off to wreck city wide havoc, killing and devouring people (young and old including animals) left and right. After the distraction succeeded, and they summoned their old pals from the Carnage Circle including an army of undead monsters they've created to complete their eradication of humanity. Though they soon been defeated when an old nemesis of Niklovich came and foiled their plans, which lead them back to the Pandora Dimension.
The two would later return once again later on in Forces, when a cult decided to bring them back onto the world. Depravitas in return devours them all, and he wasn't ordered by Niklovich himself do so. Niklovich and Depravitas decided to make another attempt to end the world, the two consulted with Omega Corp and used their resources to breed an army of vampiric soldiers and used them to capture many scientists to build a portal to the Pandora Dimension and used their own dark magic to make it work. This time they finally succeeded and released the other members from the prison dimension, such as their main scientists Hevin Terst and Dr. Kureiji Sadisuto, Depravitas himself actually tells Niklovich to execute all of the scientists since they already have their best scientists, considering the human scientist as "useless inferior monkeys". They have Terst and Kureiji to release their monster army onto the world onto the world once again, but once again they were stopped and had their army decimated, but they did retreat and make their escape.
Pandora Files
Niklovich helped the Nazis win the war and took over the world, with Niklovich being the one who secretly controls the new fascist regime which Niklovich plans on using to kickstart his own multiversal empire. Depravitas used this opportunity to create his own human prison camp where we see him conducting his despicable torture onto the prisoners, and even cruelly experiment them to tamper with their genetic genes to make him his personal sex slaves or torture dolls suiting for him which he'll force his energy onto them or consume their energy. Near the end of the Chaos Reich arc, he made a deal with Baron Thaddeus Phyle AKA Baron Vile, and turned him into a sadistic supersoldier to wreak havoc on the populace to get rid of the heroes who happen to come across said parallel dimension. Though they lost control over the dimension, Depravitas along with the other members of the Carnage Circle escape to fight another day.
He and Niklovich started a criminal organization, conducting organize crimes thanks to their connection with OmegaCorp. It's implied that it was Depravitas's idea to start the soul trafficking business Niklovich was running, strapping people in machines to rip their souls from their bodies and sell them as slaves to other demons. He hires a vampire and emotionally unstable man named Carmine Devolco, a mercenary with a tragic backstory who happens to be mentally damaged thanks to trauma of being abused his mother. Depravitas was manipulating Devolco's emotions to use him as a scapegoat for their operation, with Niklovich threatening that he'll kill his girlfriend should he try to do something suspicious. When their schemes foiled yet again, Niklovich orders Depravitas to murder Devolco since he was no longer useful to them, however Depravitas killed his girlfriend and used her remains to taunt Carmine, trying to worsen his psyche before killing him. In the "Angel Heart" two partner in Pandora Files, he doesn't play much of a role other than just being one of the monsters attacking the lab and killing some of the scientists.
Ben Diablo Spin-Off
He helps Niklovich in his schemes in destroying the Pandora Dimension out of spite for being imprisoned there, releasing all of the evil beings their and use them to make an army to takeover the Earth. The two massacred the guard in a prison located inside the Pandora Dimension, releasing the prisoners inside and went off to kill numerous others inside the dimension so they could conquer other dimensions in the multiverse. Depravitas was seemingly killed by Ben Diablo and his friend Akuma, when they used a hellfire blast on him that.
However later on in the series we learned he somehow, and he escaped to another dimension. Inside said dimension, we learned he corrupted a city run by a tyrant, giving said tyrant Prime Omega weaponry to enslave his own people and turning the city into a brutal slave state. He used this as a means to conduct a slave trafficking system where he would the same kind of experimentation on the slaves, turn them into animals to butcher and eat and sell them as food for the highest bidder. He occasionally enjoys abusing his slave onscreen, torturing them as usual, and has at times killed them. He framed another slave for a crime he didn't commit because it amused him. He killed another slave with a device to avoid him exposing information to Ben and his fellow champions, and when he was discovered he quick trapped Ben in a maze of insanity in hopes of driving him insane. In said maze, he mocked Ben on how he once failed to rescue one of his friends when he was captured by Deacon Helfyre, and put him inside a illusion where it remakes the event that happened with him and Helfyre solely to torment him. This failed, and Depravitas makes his escape and decided to blow up his laboratory to leave no traces.
He returns in a story arc of the series where he runs a prison which he was assigned by Nekrozoth to keep prisoners in line. Depravitas runs tortures on the prisoners and records them so Nekrozoth could see them for his amusement, and forced the prisoners in a gladiator like match where they battle to the death for his amusement. Depravitas decided to help create a super living parasitic virus to release on Jack Spark's (Ben's best friend) home dimension to wipe out it's inhabitants and doing the same onto others, testing said virus on prisoners which gave them gruesome deaths, and genetically engineered a thousand of mutant soldiers he plan to use for the Omega Empire in their conquest of the omniverse. It is revealed he kidnapped Nosferatu (another ML hero) and used him as a living battery for a machine to produce monsters and open portals to other dimension which he plan to release his super parasitic virus on, torturing Nosferatu as a result. In that arc he force Ben to fight his own friends, but this failed culminating in his long awaited demise where said prisoner started to collapse with Depravitas dying at the destruction of said prison, and Ben used the same virus on Depravitas which kills him and turned him into ashes. Thus concludes his story.
Appearance
Prior to his mutation, he had demonic pinkish red skin, fangs, and pure red eyes with purple pupils, and once had brown hair. He wears a red shirt with black stripes, and still wore his green pants with black straps. He was less obese and was rather muscular in appearance as well. Like his original incarnation, he is a very obese deity with no head on his host bodies. He has mouths at the palm of his hands that has sharp fangs and extreme long tongue he uses to hold his victims in place. He also has eyes on where his nipples suppose to be, and a mouth on his stomach. He also wears green militaristic esque pants with straps on that holds his smiley pins, black boots, black wrist bands, and even dressing in human clothing to blend in with the populace. He puts on white gloves to hide his monstrous hands and puts a mannequin head with a hat on his head so no one could suspect him of having no head. If he wants to, he can change the weight of his host bodies from gluttonous to muscular shape. His primary weapon of choice are a battle ax, a war-hammer, and guns should melee weapons are not effecvtive in battle.
Personality
Long ago, it was stated he was just a regular Prime Omega and a friendly butcher prior to Nekrozoth rise to power. When Nekrozoth starts his campaign of genocide and chaos, it was stated that Depravitas "snapped" and became the psychopathic terrorist we know him as today. However, it was heavily implied he always had a dark side to himself he hide from the public.
Fitting to his own name, Depravitas is the definition of depravity who gleefully embraced his own grotesque appearance, nature, and reputation: His only goal he has is simply engage in the worst crimes as possible, spreading chaos and destruction for the sake of it. He is barbarous, psychotic, cruel, homicidal, and vile, being a absolute sadist, Depravitas enjoys inflicting pain onto others and enslaving them so he could torture and/or gruesomely experiment on them. He also has a cowardly side, since he preferred to target those weaker than him so he could enslave them, abuse them, and harm them and would run away from a fight should he face an opponent stronger than him or grovel beneath their feet in hopes they spare him. He tends to be very hostile to those who summoned him, and rarely has anyone mad enough try to summon him since he tends to go after the summoners to kill them once he no longer needs them. He has the tendency to eat anyone or anything around him such as humans, animals, and/or furniture, either by hunger or sadism (should it be a person or animal).
He does not speak often unless he wanna say something important, taunts, or when he feels like it. When being sadistic, or he is being manipulative: Usually responses by making grunt noises, roars, growls, giggles in sadistic glee or laughing maniacally. Depravitas is a brute who mostly rely on his strength and weaponry to battle the heroes, however, he is still intelligent and has advance scientific knowledge primarily on genetic experimentation, and tends to be manipulative to get what he desires or simply toying with his enemies via psychological abuse for fun. Like his masters such as Nekrozoth and Niklovich, he sees humans as nothing but livestock made only to breed more food or follows to worship him and the Prime Omegas: therefore he assist Niklovich in a attempt to eradicate the human race and the rest of the planet Earth.
He differs to Niklovich in some degree, while Niklovich is a psychopathic lunatic with a hammy personality and very childish behavior and tends to get temper tantrum for little things. Depravitas on the other hand, is rather stoic and more mature, and doesn't get tantrums as much as Niklovich, nor does he get angry for minor losses or when things don't get in his way. He usually finds another way to succeed, often try to think of a backup plan if needed. Depravitas doesn't have a desire for power unlike Niklovich or Nekrozoth, he simply just want to engage in horrific crimes even with the lesser resources he has, and doesn't have a desire to rule. Depravitas only goal is to become infamous, be remembered for his horrific crimes and despised by others across the omniverse, as such he dislikes being fanatically worshipped, loved, or be adored. He wants to be hated and feared, and being adored by others contradict that motive of his, so he would murder those who worship him in reverence or show some form of love to him, the only exception to this is that he could use them as canon fodders or pawns of his own. Even so, he does allow cults who only worship him for self serving goals or out of fear of him, as he believe they make useful pawns for him for his own end.
Due to his status as a Prime Omega, he has some degree of arrogance and ego, having a belief that all mortal life form were solely made for him to inflict suffering onto for his amusement, nothing more than pawns, livestock for him to devour. Because of this, he looks down on any human he comes across, or any alien creature in general showing nothing but contempt for their inferiority. Due to this, he has a supremacist view on Prime Omegas, however due to his lack of empathy he too doesn't show any care for them either. He wouldn't mind mass slaughtering his own kind if it means he can enjoy the bloodshed, once claiming he wouldn't care if they end up getting caught in the crossover of his mass murders since it would be their fault, not his.
He also likes the concept of slavery, believing that it's the role of the weak to serve the strong. Slavery also gives him an advantage, He often buy slaves for him to conduct cruel experiments on, enhancing them into genetically modified soldiers to sell for the highest bidder or aid him an the Carnage Circle. He also treats his slaves as food or playthings like everything else, eating them when he's in a bad mood or brutally torture them for amusement. When he's in deep trouble, he'll just use his slaves as cannon fodders to save his own skin.
He shows some slight case of fanaticism towards Nekrozoth's philosophy, since it allows him to engage in whatever evil acts he can. He is also a Prime Omega supremacist along with believing in their goals and ambitions, viewing all other life form as inferior and that the Prime Omegas should be the ones reigning over creation. Overall, he is a psychotic, sadistic barbarian who's sole ambition is to harm anyone in anyway he can for sadistic pleasure.
Crimes
