| ~ Deryous' hatred towards humans exposed |
Deryous Softbunny is the main antagonist of the 2020 film / presentation Pets. He is a tyrannical and monstrous bunny who rules the park with an iron fist and builds there his own paradise.
History[]
Past[]
Deryous was a scarred rabbit whom lived once upon.a time in a house with the cat John Redhood. However, they both had an abusive owner, and Deryous planned to escape the house as a result of the owner's abusive behaviour. However, when the two settled in a park, Deryous betrayed John and the two seperated their paths; Deryous became the park's ruler while John went to live in the alley. Deryous found over 4 lost animals and convinced them to join him as humans would just abuse or neglect them if they would find their way back home. That is how Deryous Softbunny built his army of goons.
Ruling Paradise[]
Eventually, two dogs were sabotaged by a burglar, who forgot them inside the park somehow. He, Sasha McKitty and the other aristocrats have introduced themselves to the dogs (Snoop and Simba). Infact, Sasha fell in love with Snoop. Deryous offered them to join and stay in paradise, as they will be staying in a location called The Wildrun Quaters. Sasha then shows them the way, but asks Simba to enter the location as she needs to talk to Snoop alone. Sasha then tells Snoop the truth; she explains that The Wildrun Quarters are a dangerous and neglected area of thilth, and that she has feelings for him. She also revealed that Deryous is an evil leader. However, the aristocrats, lead by Deryous' right-hand cat Alphus, have caught Snoop, and Sasha attempted to shift the blame onto Simba, much to Snoop's anger, but her attempts to do so were unsuccessful. Snoop was taken by the goons to the room of The Vet, where Deryous awaited for them. Deryous then showed his true colors to Snoop, and ordered him to be tortured by Honor the Turtle. Alphus however demanded to kill the dog himself with Honor's knife, and the goons went to fetch the knife from the vet's kitchen room. However, by the time they came back, it was revealed that Simba and Sasha have rescued Snoop from the vet's torture chamber.
Downfall[]
The trio got to a river, just before Deryous found them. Sasha however had the courage to revolt against him and she called him a monster who lied to everyone about giving them a home in paradise and only using them for his own personal gain. Thereafter, the goons have decided to turn on Deryous and revolt against the tyrant. Deryous however lunges onto the trio and all four of them fall onto a log in the river. Deryous attempts to kill the three of them with a sword. However, Simba stated that none of them shall survive unless Deryous uses his sword as a paddle to move the log. Deryous did move the log by pushing his sword against the water repeatedly. However, he took them towards the waterfall, and then he jumped to the other side, thus leaving all of them on the log and letting them come nearer and nearer to the waterfall. However, before they've reached the waterfall, the trio jumped to the river's edge, as Bruce Catson (Anna Clark's cat) has waited for them on the other side. Eventually, Bruce, Snoop and Simba reach their home and show up to their master Anna, as she also keeps Sasha as her new pet. However, as a result of his crimes, Deryous has found his way back to the park, and he tried to make amends with his cult. The cult then released The Hyena, who ate the tyrannical bunny up.
Personality[]
He at first seems kind, gentle and helpeful as he offers the new inhabitats to join him for a new home and he promises them lots of fun. However, this is all just a facade in order to keep them away from the humans, and under his full control. He is cunning, vicious, ruthless, heartless, emotionless, brutal and nihilistic. He wants others to feel just like he felt, and he enjoys it when others suffer as he gains from it. He wants everyone to be his own puppets, and near the end, he pays the price for all of his crimes and atrocities.
