~ Desert’s wild side.
Desert Tumbler is the overarching antagonist in Crystallic’s Starbound Trilogy. He serves as the secondary antagonist of Starbound: The Black Nebula, and a posthumous antagonist in both Starbound: Rise of the Stargazers and Starnound: The Glitch Empire. He is an outlaw with a split personality disorder, who kills just for fun, and enjoys the thrill of heists and murder. He was once Ethyl's partner in crime, until he betrayed him due to disapproving of the murderous path he was going down. He is also responsible for turning Ethyl into an outlaw.
Desert has a split personality disorder. He has two sides of him with different personalities, but both are sadistic and enjoy killing people. He switches rapidly between the two, and it is also pretty clear that Desert is insane.
His first personality is calmer. Here, he acts more sophisticated, talking rather posh and polite, yet he still keeps his murderous intent and sadism. He tends to act more smart in this personality, as he is much calmer so he can aim better, and is able to manipulate people into doing what he wants. This side of him, while much calmer, still does enjoy thrills of heists and killing.
His other personality is much more wild. Here, he acts much more crazy and insane, and doesn't think straight in the slightest. He is really reckless and energetic in this personality, shooting much more carelessly and constantly trying to show off, while also making jokes. He even acts like a manchild a bit in this form, such as shown by him dancing in his cell, or getting extremely excited at an explosion. This side is arguably more evil, as he acts much more sadistic, crazy and murderous, not holding back an ounce.
Villainous Acts
He has done dozens of heists, robbed several banks and stolen from countless people.
He manipulated Ethyl into being his partner in crime, by lying about his past, and pretended to be his friend. This ruined Ethyl's life by turning him into an outlaw instead of a protector.
When Ethyl questioned him killing innocent people, he betrayed him by shooting his knees and getting him arrested. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
He has killed hundreds to thousands of innocent people, and attacked lots of villages/towns, simply because he enjoys it. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
When he was face to face with the black nebula, he unloaded dozens of corpses from his ships and dropped them on the floor just to make an example.
He joined the Floran Extermination Order so he could kill more people, despite not being racist, assisting them in genociding the florans, not because he agreed with their views, but because he wanted to kill.
He kidnapped Tori Spearleif and bought her to Mika Aikawa, taunting Katsu on his way out.
He tried to stop the heroes from stopping Mika’s secret weapon, all while knowing that it would have killed billions, merely because he wanted to assist in a billion kill count. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
After a while, he got bored of Mika telling him on when he could or couldn't kill, so he betrayed the Floran Extermination Order and began to fire on FEO agents, simply to show off his shooting skills to Robin and Lexie.
He almost kills Robin Reklaw in the climax, shooting her close to her stomach, which could have fatally wounded her had he hit her stomach. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
