Disembodied is a supporting antagonist in Five Nights at Treasure Island.

Disembodied is a Toon resembling a distorted and malformed headpiece of Donald Duck, as the name implies. Unlike the other toons, Disembodied doesn't directly attack and/or kill the Jake. Instead, Disembodied functions as an assistant for the other toons by offering them a boost of speed in order for them to get to Jake's office at a quicker pace.

Appearance[]

As the name implies, Disembodied appears as a headpiece of Donald Duck with pitch-black eyes with several holes; due to the inky substance he is composed of. The head is white and is equipped with a blue sailor's hat and a yellow beak. Disembodied has several thin, black, inky legs he uses to navigate and most of its head is melting, especially his jaw.

His classic variation lacks a sailor's hat, and remains completely solid without melting features or legs.

Disembodied starts in the Mascot Prep Room at the left corner with Photo-Negative Mickey, and that is the only camera he makes an appearance in. He becomes active on Night 2 and will notify the player of his approach by standing up and staring at the camera. When Disembodied leaves the Mascot Prep Room, he will appear in the office and produce loud, glitching, duck quacking-like sounds that will amplify the speed of all other active toons, allowing them to quickly progress to the office. Disembodied can be sent away by shutting off a camera, also disabling the speed boost the other active toons gained from him. Turning off the lights will not deter Disembodied at all, but instead will reveal his shade. Leaving Disembodied alone in the office for too long will lure a toon into the office.

Classic[]

In Classic Mode, Classic Disembodied starts on Night 2 in the Mascot Prep Room. When his head turns to face the player, he will teleport into the office and rest on the desk while emitting distorted quacking-like noise, which will lure Classic Photo-Negative Mickey to the office. Shutting off a camera will cause him to go away and stop his effects on Classic Photo-Negative Mickey.

Personality[]

Disembodied barely possesses a personality due to being a headpiece, but he is quite clearly on the side of the toons with the intent of murdering Jake. He will enter the office at random times to intimidate Jake and blast his noise to assist the toons in approaching his office at a quicker pace, showing that he knows what he is performing.

As a part of the TWGMS program, Disembodied was described as docile and didn't speak or make any noise for that matter.

Trivia[]

In the alpha version of the official reboot of the game Five Nights at Treasure Island in 2020, Disembodied was planned to have a animation where he'd rise up from behind the desk before getting in the player's face and making noise, but was scrapped.
From development sketches for the remake, it's possible that Disembodied was going to be named simply "Donald Head".
While he teleports to the office in the classic version, the official version has him use his legs to walk to the office, although it remains unseen from the player and the cameras as to remain true to his behavior in the original game.
Rarely, Disembodied, Photo-Negative Mickey and the Mickey heads on the floor will sudenly stare at the player at very seldom occasions of raising the monitor. This was intended to be one of the Easter Eggs in Five Nights at Treasure Island.
