~ Jay Banner insisting Stryker that he should inject David Charles Heller |
Lietuant Jay Banner, later known as Commander Jay Banner, or Doctor Doom, is one of the major antagonists of the Marvel Fanfilm Universe. He returns as a minor antagonist in the X-Men prequel God Loves, Man Kills, and an alternate version of him appears as the secondary antagonist of Scarlet Witch. He is Commander William Stryker's former lieutenant, Bruce Banner's brother, and is the inventor of Nimrod and of the anti-mutagon formula.
He is portrayed by Hugh Dancy in his first villain portrayal.
History[]
Dawn of The Mutants[]
He invented The Sentinels, including Nimrod, with his father's help. However, during one night, Magneto came and hacked into The Sentinel's artificial minds. Jay told Commander Stryker about the breach which occurred during the last night. However, despite being acknowledged that Nimrod and the rest of The Sentinels are dangerous, Stryker ordered Jay and his father David Banner to activate Nimrod and the other Sentinels, anyway. Before they could do anything, Nimrod auto-activated, and escaped, thus he reunited with the other Sentinels, much to Jay's disappointment. Jay later discussed with Stryker about their next move on the mutant kind. Jay told Stryker that the formula of anti-mutagon which he invented is ready for use. Stryker agreed, and on the same night, Jay abducted David Charles Heller. Jay then tortured David together with Stryker and his father. During the torture, Jay injected David with the anti-mutagon, which spread across mutant genes, and even got into other mutant bodies. David died after he was panicking on the floor, and so did Orou Monroe/Storm. Later during the night, Jay got the command from Stryker, to tell his men that they must shoot the amino missile at Storm's mutant base. Jay was later present when Stryker asked Victor Creed for reports. Victor Creed however betrayed Stryker's trust, because he loved Psylocke, and threw a grenade which exploded in front of Jay Banner and Stryker. Victor Creed managed to leave the base by driving a helicopter, and he left both Jay Banner and Commander William Stryker injured on the ground. After recovering, Jay Banner reported to Commander Stryker that his father David Banner was killed by The Sentinels who attacked during the night. Commander William Stryker left the base and deployed a massive quantity of soldiers and tanks, as he joined a fight against both mutants and Sentinels. Jay Banner wasn't seen present in the battle.
Prior to Hulk X[]
Following the events of Dawn of The Mutants, Jay Banner becomes the new commander of Stryker's base, and vows to continue his father's legacy. He also makes a secret alliance with Noburo Mori/Grandmaster, and becomes a supervillainous scientist named Doctor Doom.
Hulk X (2017)[]
He at first operates his lab with Yoshi as his bodyguard. He uses gas in order to turn Bruce Banner into The Hulk and Cristoph Nord into the ruthless Agent Zero. He later sends them both on a plane to the US, as he intends to use both as weapons against the mutantkind. He later realizes that Bruce Banner/Hulk was against him, and that he killed some of the U-Men. Doctor Doom later arranges a meeting with Noburo Mori, who secretly hired him to end mutant kind. Noburo Mori tells Jay that his father was strong and ruthless, but that due to criminal activities, he would have been arrested by the police at all costs. Noburo then reveals himself to be Grandmaster, an ancient demi-god who sought destruction, corruption and chaos. Grandmaster mentioned that he has the ability to manipulate many different lifeforms, and that he used The Japanese and The Americans to create war and chaos. Doctor Doom raised his suspicion and asked Grandmaster if he is manipulating him. Grandmaster lied to Doctor Doom and told him that he just wants to help. He promises Doctor Doom/Jay Banner that if he does what he's told, his father David Banner will be ressuructed.
Later, Doctor Doom watches his weapon together with a small group of U-Men. Yoshi reports that his soldiers were killed by some unwanted guests. Psylocke then comes and kills Yoshi. Doctor Doom recognizes her as an enemy, and therefor, he blames Psylocke for his father's death. Psylocke tells him that he is the next to die, unless he stops the scheme against mutantkind. Hulk then comes into the scene, ready for a fight with Doom. However, as Doctor Doom removes his mask, Hulk remembers that Jay Banner was actually his brother. Jay then tells Hulk that he has tried to turn him against the very people who killed their father, as well as William Stryker. Doctor Doom orders Hulk to kill Psylocke, but instead, Hulk walks towards Doom, and fights with him.
Doctor Doom then tells Hulk that even after killing him, it will be too late, because the weapon will be fired in 3 minutes. Hulk then shoots laser at Doom, and kills him.
Scarlet Witch (2022 fanfilm)[]
