Doctor Johann Fennhof, also known as Doctor Faustus, is the main antagonist of the 2020 fanfilm/presentation Doctor Strange and a posthumous antagonist of the 2024 fanfilm Amazing Grace. He is a mad scientist working for HYDRA and his intentions are to bomb the US so that he can avenge his deceased father. He is also the father of a newer supervillain, Doctor Lionel Faustus.
He is portrayed by Jim Rash.
History[]
Doctor Faustus started off as the head of a HYDRA project which was meant to turn superheroes one against the other. He also made a bomb in order to avenge his deceased father who told him that in order to make things better, you have to make them look worse. He and his former partner Christine Palmer discussed issues about the bomb, as she told him that it may destroy the world itself. However, Faustus did not listen as he demanded that the bomb will destroy enough people for revenge. He later formed an allaince with Dormammu, who was obsessed with killing Strange and Mordo. Later on, a spy who secretly worked for Thunderbolt Ross pretended to sell him and his mercenary Crossbones two brainwashed heroes, which were Strange and Mordo. Doctor Faustus thought that they were fully influenced by his commands so he ordered them to kill all the other heroes of S.H.I.E.L.D until he gets the bomb ready. He gave them access to his computer and thereafter Strange leaked his files and his scheme so that Ross could recieve it. Faustus then had no use of Christine anymore so he tried to kill her but she grabbed his gun and he ran out of the room. He then sent Dormmamu to finish his work by killing Doctor Strange and his allies. After Strange killed Dormmamu, Faustus activated the bomb infront of Strange as he also started speaking about his father's ideas. However, Garret shot him before he could do anything else.
