Uh oh, looks like you had a little mistake out there! Make one more fucking mistake I swear to Posideon I'm going to kill you and turn your corpse into a toy.
~ Doulson horrifically threatening his clown members after making a mistake, with his voice getting gradually deeper.

Doulson (pronounced Dull-Son) is a major antagonist from the webseries/webcomic, Mr. Fin the Agent Shark. He's a dolphin clown who loves performing for his audience along with his other clown members. Doulson seems to be very caring and kind-hearted, at least on the outside, inside and behind the scenes, Doulson is very cruel and brutal, often torturing his clown members if they can't make the audience laugh, and mentally tormenting them, as no one else in audience knows. Doulson also doesn't take it quite well when no one laughs at his jokes.

Character Biography[]

Physical Appearance[]

Doulson is a big light blue anthropomorphic dolphin. He has two circular white eybrows on his head, his eye pupils are pink and red in color, the pink color being the outer color, while the red being the inner color. Doulson has a long snout, with a white marking originating from the end of his snout, to around his mouth and all the way to his tail. His mouth is filled with circular-shaped teeth, giving him a somewhat more goofy and innocent appearance, along with the pink spots on his cheeks.

Doulson has a long triangular fin protruding from his back, with two lighter blue stripes, along with two long triangular-shaped fins having around four lighter blue stripes. There's also three stripes on his lower body, and two on his actual tail. Being a clown, he of course wears a colorful clown afro consisting of the colors: Red, blue, green, yellow and orange. He wears a big red circular nose on the end of his snout, along with blue collar with yellow spots around his neck. Underneath that are two dark blue buttons, he wears a pink tutu, also giving him a more innocent appearance, around his tail are three gray linking rings, objects commonly used in magic tricks.

Background[]

Doulson is a dolphin clown who spends most of his time entertaining his audience, he's typically seen with other clown members, however there's instances in which he just commonly works alone. Doulson is very great and talented at his job of performing tricks and entertaining his audience. Besides being just a clown, he's also a bit of a magician, which is hinted at by the linking rings around his tail. Doulson is very popular and loved amongst other sea creatures, and even humans as he occasionally goes to the surface and performs tricks for the humans above. Doulson is actually very cruel and brutal, most specifically towards his clown members. He's also a mastermind, and isn't just a brainless serial killer, he knows how to hide his crimes, and how to trick his the simple mind of others, ranging from other villains to sometimes even Mr. Fin hinself, who's a cyborg with high IQ.

Whenever they make a mistake or fail to make the audience laugh, Doulson will brutally kill them, afterwards he turns their corpse into a ball, which he often uses for his tricks, meaning that Doulson disturbingly plays with their corpse and no one even knows. He's shown to also not take criticism well, and when others don't laugh at his joke. Doulson, being a clown of course makes a fool of himself for other's entertainment, yet, he still doesn't take it well when others don't laugh at his jokes. He's very hyperactive, like most villains in the series, however Mr. Fin finds him to be extremely annoying, and never once laughs at his jokes.

Personality[]

Doulson on the outside, and when around a big audience is very kind-hearted and funny, this "innocent mood" is when Doulson pretends to care about his clown members, he pretends to care about others (unless they're his audience), but truthfully, Doulson doesn't care about any of them at all. He's very violent, brutally kills his clown members by turning their corpse into his personal toys, which he uses as a volleyball or beach ball. Doulson even uses these corpse-turned spheres to entertain his audience as they are completely oblivious of the ball being a literal corpse of innocent creatures. He even uses the same exact ball of flesh to entertain humans above the water. Yes, all of this just because innocent creatures made a simple mistake.

Everyone seems to see Doulson as some sort of lovable clown, but some actually are aware of his true personality, his true attentions, that mostly being Mr. Fin. Given how Fin is an agent who spies on suspicious individuals in the underwater city the series takes placen in, it's obvious he'd know Doulson isn't up to any good. Mr. Fin has tried to expose the dolphin, but this hardly work. Doulson isn't just a serial killer from some horror movie who hardly ever hides their evidence of suspicious activity. For one thing, Doulson is a mastermind who uses his extreme intelligence to outsmart Mr. Fin, and trick him, causing the agent shark to often make a fool of himself to the sean citizens. When Doulson interreacts with Mr. Fin, he behaves exactly like he does when in public, which is his hyperactive, and a little annoying personality, which is mostly how most villains in the series behave.

Powers/Skills[]

High intelligence[]

Similar to real-life dolphins, he's very intelligent. He's basically a mastermind when tricking others, whether they be his audience, other villains and sometimes even Mr. Fin himself who's a cyborg and already has a lot of IQ himself. Doulson knows that in order to keep is reputation, whenever he commits murder he cleans evidence so well it looks as if the victim just never existed.

Powerful bite force[]

Being a dolphin, his bite force is very powerful and strong, while his circular-shaped teeth might not look all that dangerous, considering the amount of force Doulson bites with, it's capble of easily breaking bone and even various objects.

Echo location[]

Being a dolphin, he's capable of sending out waves in the ocean by releasing high-pitched squeaks, which bounces of various objects and returns to Doulson. This allows him to detect things far ahead of him he can't see. However these echo loations appear to put others struck by the waves in some sort of unusual trans, seemingly causing them to become dizzy and confused.

Thin fins[]

His fins are quite thin, and are very long. A single smack from Doulson is actually very lethal, and could inflict some extreme damage to an individual, and can indeed leave a marking on their body. His tail is also used to slap his enemies, which can inflict he same injury, but far more stronger than his fins are capable of.

Agility/Speed[]

As someone who performs tricks for a living, he's very agile and fast in movement, which he doesn't just use for his tricks, but also for dodging Mr. Fin's attacks, and throwing attacks at fast speeds back at the agent Shark.

Enhanced strength[]

For some apparent reason, Doulson has shown signs of immense strength, where he's occasionally shown lifting large ocean rocks above his head and tossing them at powerful speeds. He's also struck Mr. Fin with enough force to send him flying in a different direction. Who doesn't usually get knocked over that easily.

Enhanced durability[]

Like most other characters in the series, he's very durable and has taken most hits and strikes from Mr. Fin who is capable of delivering punches and attacks faster than one would expect. Doulson has also been smacked and kicked by Squilly Squid many times during their fights, and still continued battling with the cartoony Squid.

Enhanced breath-holding[]

Similar to real-life dolphins, Doulson can hold his breath underwater for long periods of time, estimatedly around 8-10 minutes, however, Doulson has occasionally trapped bubbles in his blowhole, temporarily giving him loner amounts of time underwater.

Swimming skills[]

Being an aquatic creature born in the water, he's a very excellent swimmer, and is capble of achieving great speeds underwater mostly due to his somewhat long body. Similar to a real-life dolphin, the movement of his tail is up and down.

Clown/Magician weapons[]

Basically, this refers to how Doulson has various typical clown and magic objects which he creatively uses as weapons, most usually the typical red clown nose, which behaves as some sort of bomb or grenade, when squeezed a few times, it explodes. His linking rings are also used as weapons, which Doulson commonly uses to choke out his victims.

Trivia[]

  • Doulson being a clown who performs tricks for his audience stems from dolphins also doing the same thing, most commonly at SeaWorld where they leap through rings.
    • Doulson's character also stems from how dolphins are seen as innocent and playful creatures, when the truth is they're extremely violent, and often disturbingly use other sea creatures as fleshlights.

  • He's one of the more disturbing and unsettling villains in the Mr. Fin the Agent Shark series.
  • Whenever Doulson swears, (even though he usually doesn't) it's typially censored by a dolphin SFX. Which is a reference to SpongeBob SquarePants. Mostly from the episode Sailor Mouth.
