I'm not a villain, Sonic. I'm a scientist. A scientist with a vision.
~ Eggman to Sonic.

Dr. Ivo Robotnik, better known as Dr. Eggman, is the tritagonist of the Sonic parody series, Sonic Destruction.

He is the main antagonist of Part 1 and the tritagonist of Part 2.

He is a hegemonic scientist and Sonic the Hedgehog's arch-nemesis who has made it his goal to take over the world with his army of robots. However, after learning that the world is in danger, Eggman agrees to help Tails and Knuckles to save it.

He is voiced by Alfred Coleman, who also voiced Dr. Eggman in the Real-Time Fandub Games series.

Biography[]

Part 1[]

The story begins with Eggman attacking Station Square. Later, he begins working on over a thousand robots despite only 46 being ready and sends all of them into the town to kill Sonic, which winds up killing thousands. Eggman then meets with Gerald to discuss the Ultimate Lifeform, a creature they created to defeat Sonic and then be sold to the military.

While Shadow is walking with Silver and discussing Silver moving to a bad part of town, Eggman pulls up in a police car-like vehicle and accuses Shadow of stealing his documents. Silver is shocked, as is Elise (who is there somehow). Eggman prepares to capture Shadow, but Sonic appears and punches Eggman through the windshield of the vehicle and then blows it up.

Later, Sonic sneaks into his headquarters and confronts Eggman, only for Eggman to criticize Sonic for falling from his good ways and that Eggman had discovered that the world is ending and thus, he doesn't care about ruling it anymore. Sonic then proposes that Eggman leave the people alone if Sonic wins a race, which Eggman agrees to and sends the Ultimate Lifeform to race Sonic. Unfortunately, Sonic insults the creature, so it proceeds to battle him.

During the battle, Elise and her dragon begin destroying Station Square in order to kill Shadow and his friends. Seeing this, Eggman, Tails and Knuckles attempt to lie to Mayor James King that the city is save while Shadow battles the dragon, but King points out the dragon is still rampaging. Eventually, Sonic is beaten to death by the Lifeform, but he uses the last of his strength to open an airlock in the satellite and launch him into space, where he dies and falls onto Earth, injuring the dragon long enough for Shadow to kill it.

Part 2[]

After Sonic's death, Eggman and Sonic's friends arrive at King's office and encounter Sonic, who has been resurrected, brainwashed, and turned human for some reason by Daedalus. King is unafraid, as the Book of Prophecy predicted that the end of the world was near and that Sonic would become human. Sonic, brainwashed by Daedalus, beats King within an inch of his life and takes over the city. Wanting to understand what happened to Sonic and how they could prevent the end of the world, Eggman agrees to help Tails, Knuckles, and Silver to save the world.

During their investigation, Silver brings up a PlayStation 5 that can actually control Shadow, revealing that Silver has actually been in control of Shadow multiple times. Believing this might be the key to uncovering a way to save the world, Eggman and Tails hook themselves up to the machine, but they and everyone else fall unconscious. While they are unconscious, Gerald reveals to King that the PlayStation 5 can control Shadow, Eggman was framed for the genocide of Daedalus's people, and that Silver is actually the Devil Reincarnate. Gerald then leaves as Tails and Knuckles loose their memories and revert back to normal animals, Eggman leaves to find more clues, and King vows to kill Silver.

Trivia[]

  • Despite his redemption, AI Dungeon built up his role as the main antagonist more before he became a protagonist.
  • Eggman is arguably one of the more accurate portrayals in the series, although this isn't saying much.
