Dr. Faciller, also known as the Shadow Man, is the secondary antagonist of the Web Series The Villains Lair by PattyCake Productions. He is a voodoo witch doctor allied with Ursula.
He is portrayed by Chris Ross.
Biography[]
A voodoo witch doctor in New Orleans, Faciller made deals with various dark forces, including presumably Ursula the Sea Witch, in exchange for power he could abuse and exploit. Willing to do anything to obtain status and power, Faciller transformed the visiting Prince Naveen into a frog, using his valet Lawrence to pose as the prince and marry him to the mayor's daughter Charlotte. Then, he could kill the mayor and take over the city, willing to sacrifice its residents to his "friends on the other side" if needed. However, he was challenged by Naveen, the waitress Tiana, and the firefly Ray. Though Faciller managed to kill Ray, Tiana destroyed his magic pendant and sent him dragged away to the underworld.
However, Faciller was revived by Ursula. In her debt, he agreed to work for her. When she and a gathering of resurrected and gathered villains came together to find ways to undo their fates, the villains' shared distaste for Ursula led them to seal her away for many years. However, Faciller infiltrated the organization. He convinced the other villains to try a spell to undo their fates. It seemingly failed, but actually freed Ursula from her banishment.
Faciller then tells the other villains about an item known as the Sundial of Cronus, where the ancient titan of time Cronus was imprisoned, that allows its user to control time. They discover that they would need to use the dial under a blood moon for it to work, and Maleficent reveals that she can make one with her magic if provided the sundial. However, Ursula steals the sundial.
While the villains try to figure out what to do, they realize that Ursula has the sundial and that Faciller double-crossed them. Ursula finally reveals herself, and desires revenge by forcing them to make a deal with her. She and Faciller reveal that the dial can only be used by a god or the direct descendant of one, and as Ursula is the daughter of Poseidon, she is the only one that can use it, but needs the other villains' help to achieve it. The other villains refuse the deal, and she and Faciller leave.
However, Maleficent recognizes that Faciller only manipulates shadows, but cannot fully control them. She makes a deal with Oogie Boogie, obtaining his spirit dice so she may control the shadows and use them against Faciller.
Ursula finds the villains headed to the land of Morva to obtain the Black Cauldron to use against her, and attacks the ship. However, Dr. Faciller reveals that the others are not dead. Ursula reveals that she wants all of their talismans to create the sundial and keep it for herself. She makes a deal with Faciller that, if he kills them, she will bring him fully back to life instead of in between worlds like he has been. Faciller goes and uses magic to make the other villains hallucinate their worst enemies.
