I see you haven't matured at all in all this time, Sonic. And it is fortunate that your rodent body is well covered, otherwise... this place should've been cold enough to slowly push you into hypothermia. However, once my freezer project comes online at full power, which should occur shortly, global temperature will drop to a much more comfortable level. One where I will remain ruler of the world, and rodents such as yourself will cease to exist.
~ Robotnik explaining his plans to Sonic.
I suppose you mean to fight me to prove that point. Fair enough, that was inevitable, as you, Sonic, have been the only rodent ever to truly become classified as a worth adversary to me. Let us begin.
~ Robotnik before the final battle begins.

Dr. Julian Robotnik, otherwise known as Dr. Robotnik, is the main antagonist of the SatAM fangame Sonic Epoch. He is based off his original incarnation, who is an despotic mad scientist conquered Mobius with the aid of his nephew Snively. He is quite similar to his original incarnation, if not worse.

Biography[]

In the beginning of the game, a cutscene is played in which Robotnik asks Snively are the matter transporters ready. Snively nods, but also said there was a critical high energy tolerance, which may or may not cause problems. Robotnik dismisses it and insisted to use it for his schemes. Later, when Sonic and Sally broke into the base and tried to destroy the reactor to stop Robotnik's plans, they were caught by Snively, who took them to Robotnik as test subjects. While Sally was held by the scientists, Sonic distracts them and swapped himself into her place. When the machine begins to disintegrate Sonic, it was blocked by the power ring he had, and the entire base exploded. Robotnik, Snively and Sally escaped there in time, while Sonic seemingly perished from the explosion.

Ten years after the prologue, Sally still fighting for freedom, along with Tails, who is now a hoodlum after being traumatized by Sonic's death. Robotnik continued to rule Mobius, as he installed several teleporters in the Green Forest where he can send his robots, overwhelming Knothole and the Freedom Fighters. He also had Bunnie, Rotor, Antoine as well as some other Mobians roboticized. Robotnik gleefully broke Tails and Sally's spirits just by talking, before sparing them so that they could live knowing that they lost their home and everyone they knew and loved.

Eventually, Robotnik catches up to his nephew's treachery, and had him roboticized as well. When Sonic faces him one last time, he already had himself roboticized. As a cyborg, Robotnik explained his plans of using the freezer project to freeze Mobius, killing every living being and remain as the ruler of the planet. He also recalled how he and Snively was originally on a journey of finding an planet which is suitable for humans to live, until he found "rodents" living on it, which he came to hate. After all of the talk, Robotnik fights Sonic, and got defeated. Moments before his death, Robotnik self-destructed himself in an attempt to kill Sonic as well. But Sonic was fortunate enough to escape with his power ring.

Sonic would go back to the past, and saved Sally and himself from the matter transporters, thus changing the timeline. Eventually, it will lead to Sonic and his friends fighting against Robotnik's Doomsday Project, resulting in Robotnik's assumed demise, and Snively's rise to power.
