Stanley Duck Swan, a.k.a. Ugly Duckling and Derek, is the titular main protagonist of the Ugly Duckling Horror AU, which is the 1st installment of the Horror AU franchise and is based on the children's story of the same name.
Just like the story he's based on, he was the youngest of his family and had been abused for being supposedly ugly but unlike the story, he is traumatized by the abuse and decides to take revenge on the family for treating him that way and for what they've been doing during his adulthood.
Because of this, he's their archenemy and also the leader of the crew that is helping him.
Early Life[]
Just like the story this is based on, Duck Swan was born as the youngest of his family and even secretly named himself as "Stanley Swan" but just as always, his mother and older brothers hated him for not looking like them and claimed him to be ugly to the point that his own mother refused to acknowledge him as her son and even lied about him being possibly a step child or even cruelly saw him as a mistake to have.
However, his father loved him and even agreed to secretly name him Stanley while his own sister also adored him and treated him kindly but she didn't fully defend him from the abuse and even let him get wrongfully punished by their mother for an accident that she caused just to save herself from the abuse, despite the mother still not asking for any side of the story.
Despite this, he still wanted to love his family and be accepted by them, which was to sadly no avail.
Of course, he had always hated Simon for being the worst of the brothers and having no problem with showing the most cruelty, which the mother sadly allowed out of favoritism.
Unfortunately, the abuse was also full-on cruel via his mother forbidding him from meeting the neighbors, monitoring him in the house, and even most likely raping him for his pansexuality, which he was getting heartbroken by this.
Eventually, he decided to test their feelings towards him via just leaving the house and hiding outside to see if they'll care about him running away but much to his heartbreak, his abusers were happy that he was gone and even hope for him to die just so they don't have to see his face again.
Because of this, his love for them ended up turning into a hatred for them and he angrily disowned them for their cruelty.
However, he didn't fully desire to take revenge yet due to managing to do fine on his own without any of them to abuse him and even succeeding at a lot of things, most likely due to finding some people to live with or someone that can help him.
While growing up, he would also enter a relationship with a homosexual friend named Kave but they eventually broke up at some point, although it was on good terms.
Other than that, he also became a full-time defender of races, women, and even animals while supporting the LGBTQ community and planning a campaign against discrimination.
