Mendax believes that he can become worse than his father, but little does he realize that he is not that different from him. He is a hypocrite for this reason. Believe me... the omniverse would be better without them both.
~ Elbis describing Mendax.
Nothing really does matter. You can be good or evil, and where will that lead you to? Death. No matter what, it is waiting for you. Even if you can live forever like me, you could still die. I don't see why you should care for others if you know that they will die. I don't get why you should care for anyone if they could all just die. Why do good even? There's not even much of a reason to do bad either. I just simply believe there is no point in life... that is why once a new omniverse is rebuilt, it will be completely different. I give it a true meaning, covering it in darkness. Then... everyone will bow before me. That will be the new point in life... worshiping me.
~ Eblis' nihilistic and power-hungry goals.
While I may part of it, Eveicialis and I have many differences. Eveicialis, even before it separated, always had trouble understanding what's right and what's wrong in some way. However, I understand right from wrong completely. Eveicialis was also willing to do anything for his master, being very loyal to him. However, I serve no master, and I don't even care for Mendax. Eveicialis saw Mendax as a father... while I see him nothing more than a complete hypocrite. While we may be one in the same physically in some way, we aren't one in the same mentally.
~ Eblis explaining how he and Eveicialis are actually very different.
Once Eveicialis reemerges, I will try to take full control over it's actions, influencing them somehow. I will make sure that it betrays Mendax and I will have it kill him. Then... the rest of the omniverse... will be drowned in darkness... And rebirth...
~ Eblis on his goals.

Eblis, also known as Eblis the Dark and Manipulative Half, or sometimes Eveicialis (who he was originally part of) is an evil entity that lurks around the Omniverse, seeking to destroy it by drowning it in darkness and rebuilding it perfectly in his own image. He mainly looks for his other half so he can merge with it and reform into Eveicialis so he can complete his goal. Unlike the being that it came from, it has little to no care for Mendax and it is even willing to kill him and seemingly has no redeeming qualities.

He serves as a major antagonist in the Tales of the Omniverse franchise, serving as a major antagonist in Multiversal Legends, one of the secondary antagonists in Legends of the Champions, a supporting antagonist in Forces, and a supporting antagonist in Pandora Files.

He was created by Your Not So Average Guy.

Appearance[]

Originally, Eblis resembled a black demon. He had two horns on his head and two glowing purple eyes, and it was all black. It had no mouth, but was still somehow able to speak without one. It also had sharp claws that could slice through anything and he would usually float.

When he transformed a little, he lost his feet and dark purple clouds would surround them. Eblis would then have cracks all over his body that glowed purple and blue. His eyes would lose their pupils, so his eyes would be purple entirely.

Whenever Eblis used certain powers, his eyes would change, sometimes they would resemble Eveicialis'. They would usually change color and become bloodshot; the color would depend on what kinda ability he would be using.

He has changed his appearance many times, given that he likes manipulating and lying to people. He sometimes forms into some kinda friendly looking being, and sometimes he will transform into a human. However, to taunt his victims, he usually transforms into

Personality[]

While he may be part of Eveicialis, he has many differences from it and his other half. He is completely heartless and cares for nobody. He makes many lies to manipulate people and he is shown to be completely sadistic and destructive, as he is shown killing many innocent people and enjoys torture. He is willing to harm anyone, even if it is one of his own minions. He wouldn't even care if he killed his own destructive half, Quaerite Primum, given that he is more motivated by destruction and he would probably just try to figure something out to continue with his plan to destroy and rebuild the universe with darkness.

He knows what he is doing is wrong given that he just simply doesn't see any point in doing good. He has no problem hurting anyone, even if it is someone who cares for him, given that he sadistically raped and killed one of his followers, burning their flesh and forcing their children to eat their remains. He is also much more morally aware than Eveicialis and Quaerite, understanding right and wrong properly. He also doesn't even care that he is responsible for the deaths of beyond trillions or that he turned many people into monsters.

Compared to Eveicialis and Quaerite Primum, Eblis is the most evil of the three due to being the most morally aware, committing the most horrific actions, and he lacks any redeeming qualities or excuse for anything he did.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

After Eveicialis was beaten by a dark being, it divided into two halves and spread across the omniverse. One half embodied Eveicialis' amoral and destructive side, while the other embodied it's darker, more morally aware, and manipulative side. The more manipulative side formed in a universe far from where Eveicialis was defeated, and where his other half was. He learned seemingly many things that Eveicialis didn't learn properly, like what was truly right from wrong. He understood almost everything that happened in Eveicialis's life time.

At first, he stalked an entire city, sneaking into people's homes at night. He didn't do too much at first, but eventually, many people were either found dead or just simply went missing, never to be seen again. Eblis manipulated many people into doing horrible things, involving murder, rape, abuse, and many more horrible things. He even manipulated a man once into killing and then eating his entire family, then kill himself.

Eblis enjoyed what he did, but eventually, he became bored. He wanted to destroy the entire omniverse by drowning it in darkness, and then rebuild it in his own ideal image. However, he knew he couldn't go on his own. He then came up with an idea. He created a virus and spread it across the entire universe, a virus that affected almost everyone in the entire universe. The virus first started off as a small in simple cold, but then eventually, it became what seemed to be a severe sickness, putting many people into horrible, horrible pain. Eventually, people began turning into mutated mindless monsters who slowly began to destroy all remaining life in the universe.

Eblis enslaved them all and began taking them to other universes, eventually multiverses to destroy life. He began spreading the virus to several other multiverses, causing many people to become infected. While he believed this partly helped with his plan, he eventually saw them as all worthless. He would then end up killing them all and absorbed their souls, gaining more power. He later left for the omniverse.

Reign of Terror Across the Omniverse[]

Not too long after doing this, Eblis went across the omniverse, terrorizing people. He manipulated people into doing many things, such as terrorism, murder, destruction, and many other horrible acts, mainly by manipulating them. He wiped out several multiverses by doing multiple things, polluting the air with gas that drove people mad and kill each other, burning the entire multiverse, and sadistically tortured and killed several people. He even took over a entire multiverse and made everyone followers of him, brainwashing them into thinking that he was a good person.

He experimented on children several times to see if he could create any new kinds of monsters that could help him with his plans, and he succeeded a few times. Some of the children ended up dying, however, and Eblis just absorbed their souls for power. At some point, Mendax learned about Eblis, and he wanted him so he could use him, presumably to bring back Eveicialis. He sent several of his men to capture him, but whenever he did this, Eblis would capture them, brutally torture them, and then eventually, kill them and absorb their souls for power. He even sadistically tortured one of them for weeks, killed and forced him to eat his entire family, and then slowly tortured him to death and devoured his soul.

Eblis knew what he truly wanted now; he wanted to find his other half (Quaerite Primum) and then merge into Eveicialis. After he would do this, he wanted to attempt to make Eveicialis betray Mendax and then finally, destroy the entire omniverse by plunging it into darkness and then rebuilding it in his own perfect ideal image. All he had to do now was look for him.

Trivia[]

  • He is heavily inspired by Mephiles the Dark from the Sonic franchise.
  • He doesn't think that Mendax has what it takes to surpass Nekrozoth due to him being not as powerful as him. Eblis, however, believes he can defeat them both.
