Eddie Moss is the central antagonist of Culture of The Past. He is a politician in Inkopolis who attempts to be mayor of Inkopolis, however it is later revealed he is an underling working for Estefa Dora, who is vengeful at Agent 8 and the Splatoon for the death of his sister Sabrina, who was killed in the Splat Lands incident.
Personality[]
Eddie Moss is snarky, petty, hot tempered and xenophobic. He shows little of a fake politeness, however, can bring in a small bit of nicnesss when able to, however, it is usually seen through. He has a snarky attitude to people and when he isn’t pretending to be nice on the rare time, he is rather cold and mean towards them. He shows a complete hatred towards Octolings, calling them “Pit-Dwellers” when given the chance and has a seething hatred being around most of them.
He is extremely vengeful and petty, as his main motivation is to avenge his sisters death in which the old agent 3, Cassie, caused by trying to abandon him and Sabrina. This spakred Eddie to have a hatred for the Splatoon, especially Isa Raines, Cassie’s girlfriend at the time, who covered up Cassie’s crimes. This also led to Eddie blaming Octolings and his racism spawning.
He shows little care for much of anyones lives, accepting even his own men being casualties and will gladly have them be sacrificed.
Despite his intense bigotry, Eddie truly cares for his assistant and friend Lyra, apologizing directly to her when he says something xenophobic and truly is protective of her, not wishing her to be in harms way. With this, he also is angered at others if they act racist around her or insult her, such as Lewis, which leads to massive hypocrisy on his end. He sees Lyra as his own sister, explaining his protectiveness of her and sympathizes with her parents being killed, and isn’t mad when she betrays and nearly kills him.
Villainous Acts[]
- While running as mayor, (on the order of Estefa) wanted to ban Turf Wars from happening, restrict immigration from Octo Valley and give less money to more hard working jobs.
- Ordered The Lovers to murder the political candidates to get him a better chance in the election, leading to the deaths of two of the candidates. (MORAL EVENT HORIZAN)
- Had the lovers threaten and pressure civilians into voting for him.
- When Michelle assaulted him, called her a Pit-Dweller and had The Lovers personally removed her away from him after he spat in her face.
- Assisted Lewis and Estefa in their goals, not caring for people getting hurt in it.
- Depsite loving Lyra, manipulates her into helping him.
- Had Kara raise suspicions about Sebastian and Cynthia, while also subtly insulting her about what happened in Splat Lands.
- Murdered two officers along with Lyra and assumed their identities in order to escape their safe house.
- Despite Gabbie’s protests, started a flash flood in the sewers during the battle with the Splatoon and Misa’s team, causing the deaths of 4 of the Octolings Soldiers.
- Helped the hostile takeover of the Off The Hook! building and held up the audience members for Estefa to make his speech to the cities.
- When Pearl got cured of the sickness and attacked Eddie, he attempted to kill her by shooting her in the head.
- After Marina broke free of Lewis’ control and called Eddie out for his hypocrisy, Eddie brutally beaten Marina to near death with his gun, causing her face to be swelled up and her nearly dying (MORAL EVENT HORIZAN)
- Made an organized attack on Octo Valley against Lyra’s wishes, setting fires to homes and shooting at civilians at random to try killing any of them, resulting in dozens of their deaths (MORAL EVENT HORIZAN)
- Attempted to murder all of the Splatoon and Misa’s team, along with Sally’s scavengers.
- Held up Michelle and threatened to slit her throat if they didn’t surrender.
