Edgar Evernever is the main antagonist of The Darkest Tale of Lorcan Darcy. He is the husband of Evelyn Evernever and the leader of The Farm, a cult that he had orchestrated as part of an elaborate scheme to manipulate vulnerable individuals and harvest their organs. He is the arch-nemesis of Lorcan Darcy, the titular protagonist.
He was responsible for murdering Laura-Belle Darcy, Lorcan's identical twin sister and mastermind behind Lorcan's loss of sanity.
He is portrayed by Chad Michael Murray, who also previously portrayed the Riverdale version of the character.

Edgar is the minor antagonist of Part 1: The Farm and the Ink Machine, the unseen antagonist of Part 2: Past, Present and Future, the overarching antagonist of Part 3: Sonic the Hedgehog and the Multiverse of Adventure, the main antagonist of Part 4: The Resistance, and the posthumous antagonist of Part 5: Enter the Digiverse.

Like the Riverdale version of him, Edgar was a handsome, middle-aged man with a lean toned body who wore fashionable clothes and accessories. His style was often inspired by the look of oriental gurus to accentuate his role as a cult leader.

Edgar was a charismatic man. Edgar used his mental manipulation skills to take advantage of vulnerable people and recruit them in a cult masked as a new age support group, calling himself an inspirational guru. Behind this false mask, however, hid a dangerous and delusional man whose purpose was to harvesting human organs among other criminal activities. Edgar ended up a victim of his own twisted mental games, deluding himself to ascend to heaven.
