Edward Martins, also known as Vindica is the second of Your Not So Average Guy's Villainous Characters. He is a feared crime lord who has killed many people and kidnapped many children. However, despite his heinous acts, he is tragic and he never really did want to be evil.
Biography[]
Past[]
Edward was once a successful businessman who had a loving wife and child on the way. He was incredibly wealthy and his life was going mostly fine.
When his child was born, his wife ended up dying, leaving him to raise his daughter on his own.
Edward missed his wife, thinking about her pretty much all the time. He could not get over what happened to her, he loved her so much and he did not know how he could go on without her. However, as time went on, he began to realize that his daughter was the only thing that kept him going.
He did pretty much anything for her, she was what made him happy the most. He loved everything about her; her smile, her personality, her beautiful face, everything.
One day, she didn't come home from school. He didn't worry to much about her, thinking that she would be okay and that she just had not shown up yet. However, he would later find out what happened, and it shocked him.
He found out that his daughter was killed when the bus she was on crashed. Edward was devastated. His family was dead; no wife, no daughter. She was really the only thing that had kept him going.
His friends tried to comfort him during this tragic situation, but nothing helped. He hardly saw anything that could keep him going; Edward even considered taking his own life at one point. While his mental health declined, so did his sanity.
He began to think humanity was corrupt and that he was the only one who was not corrupt at all. He thought that if he killed as many people as possible, maybe he would end up feeling much better.
He ended up resigning from his job and became part of a gang. After earning enough people in the gang's trust, he ended up killing the gang's leader, leaving him to become the new leader. The gang was rather shocked by Edward's actions, but they trusted him. He ended up taking on the name Vindica and renamed his gang to the Vindicta.
Years Later[]
Vindica wanted to avenge his daughter by killing as many people as possible, so he did just that. He would order his gang to kill many different people, even though most of them never did anything to him. He would also do what he could in order to get money, such as theft.
He would also find other people on the streets and recruit them in his gang, and he would even have children kidnapped just so he could raise them to be loyal to him. He was actually very friendly to the children and made sure that he could get some respect from them. He would also brainwash some people into joining him.
He would take down larger gangs in his city, making him one of the most feared crime lords in the entire country. Over time, however, Vindica began to realize what he was doing was wrong. He began to feel remorseful for it, but he chose not to redeem himself, knowing he had gone too far now. He would also become rivals with Rex Mortiferum, another crime lord.
Defeating Mortiferum[]
After getting into a crime war with the Vindicta, Vindica and his men found where Rex was hiding. They found Rex's daughter, chained up in the basement. Shocked, Vindica freed the child and told his men to get her to safety.
After finding Rex, he fought him. He nearly lost, but he was able to win by shooting him. This would cribble Rex and allow Vindica to escape. He made sure that Rex's daughter was okay and he did what he could to comfort her. He would then take her in and raise her as his own.
Personality[]
He was once a caring man who loved his family dearly, doing anything for his wife and eventually his daughter, and he would always make sure that they were okay. Even after his fall, he was still generally friendly.
After he fell, however, he became psychotic, blaming everyone and everything for what happened to him. He would sometimes lash out at others, but he would mostly try to stay calm.
He also treated everyone in his gang fairly, even ones who did not like him. He was also respectable toward them, often rewarding them after pleasing him.
Edward would also feel heavily remorseful for everything he ended up doing, knowing what he was doing was wrong, despite thinking that it was fine for many years. However, he refused to redeem himself since he believed that he had gone too far now, but he does sometimes wonder if he should.

Trivia[]
- He loves children and animals, and he refuses to hurt them. He ended up killing one of his men one time because they were mistreating one of Vindica's many kidnapped children,
- He also has two dogs.
- He is actually aware of Saevus Caedis and he does have an interest in having him join him. However, he is aware of his psychotic behavior, so he knows he probably should not get his hands on him.
- If he ever did team up with him, Caedis would most likely end up killing him.
- Vindica is actually Latin for "Avenge", which he does want to do for his daughter.
- His group name, Vindicta, also means "Revenge" in Latin.
- His design was influenced by Overhaul's design from My Hero Academia.
- He is currently the most tragic villain from Your Not So Average Guy.
- He could possibly redeem himself in the future.
- However, it is unknown how he will redeem if ever does so.
- He is germaphobic, so he does wear gloves and a face mask often.
- He is not the most evil member of the Vindicta, since some of the other members are far worse. They may be revealed in the future.
- He thinks about his daughter non-stop.
- Rex's daughter actually reminds him a lot of his own, having a similar personality. He cares about her a lot for this reason and will do anything to protect her.
