Metal Sonic, Tails Doll and Metal Knuckles are minor antagonists of the analog horror web series Sonic Adventure: The Forgotten Files. They are robotic copies of Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower and Knuckles the Echidna, created by Dr. Eggman to do his bidding.
Biography[]
Eggman Adventure Mode[]
Eggman's team was activated by the doctor as part of a backup plan to destroy Sonic. First, Eggman sent Metal Sonic to the Emerald Coast to capture some animals, observing his process through the remotely controlled Tails Doll. After that was over, he sent Metal Knuckles to Speed Highway for the Master Emerald shards, again observing him through Tails Doll. Though Metal Knuckles collected all three shards, he had to destroy a Badnik to get one of them.
Shortly after, Eggman's soul was captured by Tikal, leaving his robots at her mercy and deactivated by her. They were then taken to a cave at Mystic Ruins where she will make use of them when the time is right to reactivate them.
Sonic Bonus Mission[]
With Tails' soul collected, Tikal uses the Master Emerald's power to reactivate Eggman's robots and put them under her control. Under Tikal's orders, they go after Sonic to stop him from retrieving the Chaos Emeralds and to capture him. Tails Doll was the first go after Sonic in Windy Valley when he attempted to capture Sonic to stop him from reaching the red Chaos Emerald but Sonic was abke to capture it and escape him. The second is Metal Knuckles where he races Sonic at Casinopolis in Station Square to not only capture the purple Chaos Emerald but to also capture Sonic. At first Metal Knuckles is shown to be ahead, but Sonic was able to speed up to get in front of him and reached the purple Chaos Emerald. Sonic later return to Windy Valley to find Metal Sonic speeding past him to get the blue Chaos Emerald to capture him. But like Tails Doil and Metal Knuckles, he failed his mission as Sonic avoids his final capture by taking the blue Chaos Emerald.
Even though they failed, this did not prevent Tikal from releasing Chaos while promising Sonic that she'll see him soon.
Forgotten Ending[]
Eggman's robots remained near the Emerald Shrine, ambushing Sonic. Metal Knuckles then handed over his Emerald Pieces to fully restore the Master Emerald, allowing Spider-Girl to return Chaos into his Perfect form.
The robots are among the few characters not present on the ending screen, thus leaving it unknown if they still exist in the game code (though given Metal Sonic's presence in the final game, he is more likely to have survived than not).
