OH NO! THE RATBER KID TAKES YOUR GIFT, AND SAYS IT IS HIS
~ El Niño Ratero’s description translated into English.

El Niño Ratero, also known as The Ratber Kid is one of the main antagonists of the Un Regalo duology.

He served as one of the four main antagonists of Un Regalo Gratis Para Ti, (specifically as the main antagonist of the Regalo Amarillo route) and it’s sequel, Se Buscan Ladrones (appearing as the titular main antagonist of the Niño Ratero route).

He is a thief who claims that the gift that he is stealing is his.

He is voiced by Sr Pelo.

Biography[]

Un Regalo Gratis Para Ti[]

Niño Ratero first appears in the Regalo Amarillo route. If the player picks the Yellow Present, then Niño Ratero will steal it. He’ll then ask the viewer if the present is ours, though the outcome will be the same no matter what option is picked. (¡No es mío!, ¡No, es tuyo!. (No, it's mine!, No, it's not yours!)). Niño Ratero will taunt the player, and laugh at them moments before closing the door and leaving.

Se Buscan Ladrones[]

Niño Ratero returns as a major antagonist in the sequel to Un Regalo Gratis Para Ti, Se Buscan Ladrones. He is seen laying on a hammock, eating cheese in his hideout. When Pepe Rito (Pepe Puppy), confronts him. He will proceed to reach into his pocket and pull out a cheese bomb in defense. Pepe Rito then asks the viewer what should we do to defeat him. (Note: nothing happens if the viewer doesn't choose an option in time).

Le da miedo tirarlo (He's afraid to throw it)[]

If the viewer chooses this route, El Niño Ratero will berate the viewer for thinking that and proceeds to throw the bomb. The cheese bomb was a stink bomb and it causes Pepe Rito and the kid to cough.

Apuntale con una pistola (Point him with a gun)[]

If the viewer chooses this route, El Niño Ratero will feel hurt at the viewer for doing so. He then calls his lawyer and threatens to take the viewer to court. Pepe Rito ends up scolding the player for this. The kid will laugh at the viewer telling them that they will be accused for attempted murder.

¿Qué es eso?! (What's that?!)[]

If the viewer chooses this route, El Niño Ratero will explain to the viewer what the bomb is. This gives enough time for Pepe Rito to use a mouse trap on him and successfully arrests him. Pepe Rito then awards us with the yellow gift, but the gift is actually a cheese bomb. The bomb then explodes and the kid laughs at us.

Te gusta el queso rancio (I like stale cheese)[]

If the viewer chooses this route, El Niño Ratero will reply with disgust, and then Pepe Rito will scold the viewer for liking stale cheese and tells the viewer that he will no longer help them. The kid will laugh at us for liking stale cheese.

Trivia[]

  • According to the concept art, El Niño Ratero has stolen 241,467 presents.
    • This makes him the thief who has stolen the highest amount of presents, out of the four thieves.
  • His name translates to "The Ratber Kid", in English.
  • He's the only thief to be an animal.
  • In his lair there is a picture of his mother holding him when he was a baby.
