Elanuelo is the secondary antagonist of the Minecraft social experiment web series ish's State, serving as a minor character in Season 1, the tritagonist of Season 1.5, a supporting character in Season 1.7 and the main antagonist of Season 2. He is set to return in Season 2.7.
He is a player who took part in the first season of The State Experiment and would carry either heroic or neutral roles throughout the subsequent events before returning to take center stage as a major player in the second season of The State Experiment as the emperor of the Aculon Empire, the largest governing power of the Snow State.
While a generally neutral or even heroic character in his first three appearances, Elanuelo would evolve into a cruel tyrant paranoid of being usurped and obsessed with having complete control over his citizens. When his baron AFreakinTurkey gradually becomes more popular than him, Elanuelo's paranoia and envy skyrockets and be begins plotting to have Turkey killed so he can remain the sole ruler of the Aculon Empire and eventually take over the world. He is also the former superior-turned-arch-nemesis of AFreakinTurkey.
He was portrayed by the Minecraft player of the same name.
Appearance[]
Elanuelo appears as a light-skinned male with brown hair and black eyes. His most iconic appearance in Season 2 in The State Experiment consists of him wearing a dark gray shirt, black pants, brown shoes, a massive red regal robe with white ermine outlining the interior and a golden-yellow crown with red highlights in the center of each side.
Back during both Seasons 1.5 and 1.7, Elanuelo wore a light green hoodie with black pants and white shoes. In Season 1, Elanuelo had a radically different skin, instead presenting as an anthropomorphic monkey wearing gray and blue military uniform.

For the majority of the event after emerging from his underground bunker and making his presence as emperor of the Aculon Empire known, Elanuelo portrayed himself as a strict, albeit fair and well-meaning ruler, a view shared by most within the Aculon Empire. He prided himself on being tough on crime and putting the prosperity of his empire before everything else. To the rest of the Snow State, the was seen as a beacon of order in a world filled with chaos, seeking the complete unity of the world through the Aculon Empire.
In truth, Elanuelo was always extremely paranoid and fearful ever since joining the server. From the moment he spawned, Elanuelo envisioned himself in charge of a massive empire, but was also terrified of the prospect of being assassinated by either players from the other islands or his own citizens. As a result, he became a reclusive leader who commanded his nation from an underground bunker. Elanuelo's paranoia never went away even after emerging from his bunker to make himself publicly known, as he planted spies across the world to keep an eye on both his citizens who were negative towards him and the other states in case their conspired against him. All of Elanuelo's means of keeping his empire under his rule were rooted in his paranoid delusions that people were plotting behind his back, unwilling to seek compromise with those who questioned his rule. As a result of his rule, Elanuelo never held anyone particularly close to him and never fully trusted anyone, seeing everything as a potential traitor. Ultimately, Elanuelo's paranoia would be his undoing as his killing of Turkey out of paranoia that he would start a revolution against his regime was the catalyst for the Alliance of Democratic Nations declaring war against the Aculon Empire.
Elanuelo's motives was never born from even a lick of good intentions, with his paranoia only skyrocketing after seeing the attention and popularity Turkey received as de-facto emperor, increasing his paranoia and kickstarting an extremely hateful jealousy of Turkey, feeling emotionally usurped and overshadowed at every turn with leaders of the other islands contacting Turkey to establish diplomacy between their nations instead of him, bruising his fragile ego. Upon finding out Turkey was evacuating citizens fleeing Elanuelo's dictatorship, he was not only enraged that Turkey was disobeying him, but that he had taken away his citizens, reducing their numbers and providing less citizens for him to keep his grasp on, which served as the final nail in the coffin for cementing Elanuelo's belief that Turkey was planning to usurp him. The only reason Elanuelo emerged from his underground bunker was to re-affirm his supreme control over the Aculon Empire, afterwards, he would begin exerting a more authoritarian approach to ruling his empire, enabling his top officials to harass, bully and ruthlessly command his citizens with no regard to their wellbeing, only the continued growth of the Aculon Empire in the hopes for it to become the dominant power of the entire world. Elanuelo's ego was also a major factor in his downfall, as he was unwilling to take criticism and anyone remotely critical of the Aculon Empire's policies were deemed as committing treason. Even after learning that Turkey's "revolution" was planned to be non-violent, he still felt the need to justify himself and act as though he would have spared his life if he had known prior. At his core, Elanuelo was an extremely petty, selfish and arrogant man driven by a need for control over everyone in his empire.
In spite to his ruthless cruelty and controlling tendencies, Elanuelo was an exceptionally intelligent individual and leader, creating a detailed and highly structured hierarchy for the Aculon Empire that he would use to bribe other leaders of Snow State settlements into joining Aculon. By leveraging these positions, he could effortlessly manipulate the many leaders on the Snow State into assimilating their civilizations with Aculon under the premise of unifying everyone under one strong empire. As a result of his close connections, he was able to make it appear as though he always had his heart in the right place to justify his many immoral decisions and mask his true feelings. Additionally, even though it was born from his paranoia, he was crafty enough to sent out spies across not just the Snow State, but also the rest of the world to keep tabs on everyone at all times in case anyone planned on conspiring against him. In the end, he was smart enough to have the Iron Torch built as a defensive tower in preparation for the other states attacking him, something he knew was going to happen if he killed Turkey.
After sitting Turkey down and unveiling his knowledge of Turkey's actions, Elanuelo fully shed his mask and dropped his façade, revealing his true nature as a smug, cruel, cold-hearted sociopath who would kill anyone who crossed his path without a second thought or any remorse. With his corruption exposed, Elanuelo saw no point in hiding his true self and gleefully participated in the Battle of Aculon, leading his soldiers and intending on wiping out the entirety of the Alliance of Democratic Nations once they attacked. In addition to his lack of empathy, Elanuelo ultimately had not a single shred of care for his subordinates or his citizens, seeing them more as set pieces to complete his empire at best and disposable pawns that should pledge their loyalty to him and be willing to die for Aculon at worst. Elanuelo's apathy for his citizens was so enriched in his character that he was willing to have even his highest ranking officials killed for showing any degree of sympathy for Turkey, as well as manipulating them into seeing his ruthless actions as being justified.
The only people Elanuelo showed any degree of respect to were STORMINGHELL and the Sea People. Although he never genuinely cared about anyone but himself, Elanuelo genuinely admired and respected STORMINGHELL and the Sea People for also establishing order in their groups through authoritarian policies. When STORMINGHELL was assassinated, Elanuelo put the entire Snow State into a temporary lockdown to pay his respects to the late Sultan and sent diplomats to the Desert State to support the Sultan's followers. Additionally, he forged alliances with the Smaragdus Emirate, the Imamate and the Sea People, employing their services during the Battle of Aculon.
Overall, Elanuelo was a jealous, paranoid control freak who lacked basic remorse and empathy for anyone, including his own citizens, and was willing to murder one of his most trusted subordinates simply because they were more popular than him. A selfish, sociopathic dictator with a lust for power and ultimate authority, there was ultimately only one person who Elanuelo valued above all else: himself.

At the start of Day 1, Elanuelo waited at the top of a watchtower for his crown prince, ItzzEnder. Once Ender arrived, Elanuelo informed him that the plan to make the Aculon Empire a reality had begun and that this would involve him going into hiding, reassuring Ender's that it would be for the best and that everyone in the empire is to be kept in line to make the empire succeed in the future. Before letting Ender attend to his duties, he informed him to contact him if any issues arose as the crown prince bid him farewell for the time being.

On Day 2, a wave of newly forming settlements emerged on the Snow State, with various players coming together to form small and large communities across the island. Unbeknownst to any of the citizens of these settlements, their leaders were in talks with Elanuelo, who was leading the Aculon Empire. As rumors started to spread across the island, players began catching word that the leaders of the various settlements were conspiring with Elanuelo to merge their civilizations with the Aculon Empire and eventually conquer the entirety of the Snow State under the rulership of the Aculon Empire, uniting the Snow State entirely and making Elanuelo the shadow leader behind all the Snow State's civilizations. For the time being, Elanuelo kept himself secluded in a secret underground bunker only accessible to the other community leaders out of paranoia that he would be killed or that people were plotting behind his back. Through convincing them to follow his orders and merge their civilizations with his to keep the Snow State strong and united against the rest of the world, he would grant them high-ranking leadership positions within the Aculon Empire.

On Day 5, Elanuelo continued giving orders to his subordinates through his underground bunker. Although he was the emperor of the Aculon Empire and the ruler of the Snow State, he delegated responsibility to one of his barons, AFreakinTurkey. Because of Turkey's public reputation as the de-facto "emperor" of the Aculon Empire and the Snow State, most players across the islands would reach out to him for diplomacy, such as sidefall on Days 3 and 4, who wished to get on his good side. With Turkey leading the charge above ground, Elanuelo would continue giving orders and planning to expand the Aculon Empire's control from his underground bunker, still paranoid that someone may try and kill him. With over 200 members, Elanuelo would have his subordinates assign every member of the Aculon Empire daily tasks to carry out to ensure the continued growth of the empire, gradually pushing them to the brink of exhaustion by overworking them and not allowing them to work on their own projects.

On Day 6, Elanuelo approved of the execution of Xeillious, a player who attempted to blow up the Quartermaster's House. The execution was carried out by Turkey, who carried out Elanuelo's orders for the rest of the day. In spite of Turkey acting somewhat tyrannical at times, he was quickly becoming a more popular leader than Elanuelo, whom some players were unsure if he even existed as he spent all his time in his bunker, as he got things done, was highly charismatic and was overall well-liked. With leaders from other nations preferring to reach out to Turkey for diplomacy talks instead of Elanuelo, the latter was starting to grow even more paranoid and jealous that he might be killed and overthrown, now by one of his own high-ranking members.
On Day 7, Elanuelo temporarily emerged from his bunker and called the highest-ranking Aculon officials to the Aculon Castle in light of a potential attack by Pendaris, as two members had been spotted across the Snow State, which turned out to be a cover to allow TooDrew—the leader of the Aculon Knights—to kill a defecting baron who opposed the empire's tyranny.

On Day 8, in order to establish himself as the one, true leader of the Aculon Empire, Elanuelo finally decided to abandon his underground bunker and face his people directly, setting up an event for Day 8 where every Snow State citizen was called to the Aculon Castle to watch Elanuelo be publicly crowned as emperor. Prior to the coronation, all high-ranking officials were ordered to provide Elanuelo a gift. Following the coronation, Elanuelo gave a speech in support of his empire's citizens for coming together and working as a team before asking Turkey to give a speech affirming his undisputed authority. Afterwards, Elanuelo had his citizens follow him down the path of the empire to showcase the Snow State's unity.

However, with the celebration, the higher-ups of the Aculon Empire were enabled by Elanuelo to show their true colors. After the coronation, Elanuelo had his knights constantly boss around his citizens and forced them to halt all construction on their projects to build the Aculon Castle, creating a general sense of discontent within the empire. Elanuelo's controlling habits became so bad that he began sending spies to stalk players to see who was criticizing his leadership, most likely to have them silenced, believing that unity of the Snow State was only achievable through a strong, authoritarian leader and that he deserved to be recognized as such instead of Turkey, whom he was growing more jealous of. As a result, Turkey's supporters became afraid for their lives whilst living under the Aculon Empire's rule, believing they would be exiled or even executed for questioning Elanuelo's leadership. Seeing the fear of his followers made Turkey worry for their safety, and so, he and Ender assembled an escape plan for his supporters and anyone else on the Snow State fearful of Elanuelo's wrath, creating an underground tunnel to evacuate citizens to SethHyphen and sidefall's nations in the Jungle and Plains States respectively, whom were welcoming to refugees and opposed the growingly tyrannical rule of Elanuelo. To make matters worse, Elanuelo had even sent spies across the world, including Seth and sidefall's nations, to keep an eye out for potential threats to himself and the Aculon Empire.

On Day 9, Elanuelo ordered the Aculon Empire to go on a temporary lockdown as a result of the assassination of STORMINGHELL, the leader of the Sultanate and whom he had always admired and respected for his similarly brutal and authoritarian leadership position. After the lockdown was lifted, Elanuelo sent a few of his diplomats to the Desert State to offer support to the Imamate that formed in the wake of STORMINGHELL's death.

As the citizens of the Aculon Empire labored under Elanuelo's command, he held a secret meeting with his top officials to discuss the new crisis they were facing. Despite the Aculon Empire growing to become the strongest nation in the world with over 230 members, it had recently fallen short to the newly-formed Alliance of Democratic Nations made up of leaders from the Plains, Jungle and Desert States, toppling the Aculon Empire with over 100 members than Aculon. While Aculon agreed with his top officials that this was the biggest potential threat to the Aculon Empire's power, Elanuelo's attention was on the other issue at hand: Turkey and his rise to popularity, which had always bothered Elanuelo despite him tolerating it. However, the internal conflict between the two leaders had reached a boiling point after one of Elanuelo's spies caught Turkey evacuating a group of citizens through their underground tunnels, which enraged Elanuelo as defecting from the empire was strictly forbidden and illegal. Additionally, his spies had caught Turkey hanging out with the leaders of the Plains State. With his paranoia and envy now in overdrive, Elanuelo concluded that Turkey was conspiring with the Plains State to overthrow his government, despite Turkey having no plans to as he knew it would start a major war and instead desiring to re-establish democracy within the Snow State.

The previous day, Elanuelo had agreed to a meeting suggested by Turkey and the former had recently accepted the offer, but with the strict stipulations that the meeting be held the next day within the Aculon Castle and that Turkey comes alone, needing extra time for his builders to finish a hidden project he had ordered construction of at the top of the Aculon Castle. With the meeting concluded, Elanuelo sent his diplomats to establish alliances with the Imamate and the Sea People in both the Desert and Jungle States respectively, promising to help them re-establish order within their islands.

On Day 10, Turkey arrived at the Aculon Castle and waited for Elanuelo to show up. Once Elanuelo arrived, he ordered all of Aculon's high-ranking officials to come to the castle. Once everyone was gathered, Turkey gave a small speech and afterwards, TooDrew, another high-ranking player, was stopped by Elanuelo going to "do something", with Elanuelo requesting that Turkey sit in the throne. As Turkey sat down, Elanuelo blankly asked if he could trust Turkey, with the latter stating he could. Elanuelo proceeded to slyly taunt Turkey about how nice it must feel to sit in his throne in front of everyone, gradually making Turkey uncomfortable before revealing the truth of the meeting: He knew Turkey had been collaborating with the leaders of the Plains State and that he sought to take over the Aculon Empire for himself, affirming that there was nothing Turkey could do to convince him otherwise.

Turkey staunchly denied Elanuelo's accusations, admitting that whilst he had been talking with the other nations, he had only done so because he acted as a diplomat, attempting to convince Elanuelo to become allies with the other nations so that the Snow State could be reformed into an actual democracy. Ignoring his points about turning the Snow State democratic, Elanuelo asked Turkey why he was leading people off the Snow State in secret, with Turkey responded that he and the escapees believed Elanuelo would kill them if they spoke out against his dictatorial rule. Realizing the truth of the meeting, Turkey knew that Elanuelo wanted to get rid of him and opted to leave so that Elanuelo would not have to deal with him again. Before he could leave, however, Elanuelo retorted that if Turkey left, he would come back with an army, before apologizing. Elanuelo glanced to TooDrew, who flicked a lever that opened up the seat on the throne as Elanuelo hit Turkey into the hole and into a pit of lava, killing him.

Immediately after Turkey's murder, all the high-ranking officials present in the meeting who supported Turkey fled the Aculon Castle. Elanuelo then ordered his remaining knights loyal to him to kill Turkey's supporters, commencing a purge of all the players who supported Turkey just to further insult his memory. Although most of Turkey's supporters were killed, some managed to escape the Snow State and immediately swam to the other islands to inform their leaders of what happened to Turkey and the wave of killings that followed. After Turkey's killing, Elanuelo called all the citizens of Aculon to the castle grounds and delivered a speech regarding his actions, attempting to justify them and twist his assassination of Turkey into an event that could unite the Snow State against the rest of the world.
Back on the Snow State, Elanuelo received word that the Allies were preparing their militaries and called the Emirate, the Imamate and the Sea People to arrive at the Aculon Castle before putting it on lockdown in preparation for the forthcoming war, which was declared shortly after.

By the time the militaries of the Allies arrived to the Snow State, they were greeted by Elanuelo's greatest trap; the Iron Torch, a highly advanced defensive military tower inspired by the Wooden Fence from the previous season and built by his best architects for this exact purpose. With all the major factions gathered in one place and the Aculon Empire's members split between defending the grown floor or shooting down the Allies from atop the Iron Torch, the Allies stormed the Aculon Castle, marking the beginning of the Battle of Aculon.

As the Aculon soldiers shot at the incoming invaders, the Allies demolished the walls of the Aculon Castle and stormed inside, fighting their way through herds of Aculon soldiers defending the ground floor before beginning to ascend the Iron Torch, only to lose several members to falling stalactites. With the Allies unable to reach Elanuelo from climbing up their ladder surrounded by lava in fear of losing more members, many began resorting to scaling the building remotely by building upwards and using bone meal on jungle trees to create a steady way of ascending the tower. With the Allies breaking the secret of how to enter the Iron Torch, Elanuelo ordered his subordinates to begin dropping lava from above and continue firing arrows. Eventually, several members of the Allies reached the top of the tower and planted TNT, killing several Aculon soldiers and allowing easier access for the allies to shoot inside. As Elanuelo was focussed on shooting at the Allies opposite the Iron Torch on the own towers, a Snow State defector from the Allies managed to get inside and break the block below him. As Elanuelo fell, he attempted to perform a water bucket clutch to save himself, but it proved fruitless as plummeted down into a lava-covered block, killing him instantly, ending his reign of terror and avenging Turkey's death.

As soon as Elanuelo died, members of the Aculon Empire began to panic with their leader dead and quickly surrendered. However, the Allies continued to kill as many soldiers as possible, showing no mercy. After a while, the Allies had completely taken over the Iron Torch, but now that things were starting to settle and the Allies were returning to their home states, they realized what they had done——that they had done to the Aculon Empire what Elanuelo had done to Turkey's supporters. However, they were confident in their victory nonetheless, marking the end of the Battle of Aculon.

In the days following the Battle of Aculon, the Allies created a new worldwide alliance known as the International Peace Council, with their first order of business to be pardoning the surviving Aculon members who survived the battle for their crimes to atone for their mistakes after Elanuelo's death, allowing them to come out of hiding and finally assimilate back into society. Until the refugees returned, Aculon was declared a sovereign state where anyone was free to visit and rebuild on neutral grounds. With Elanuelo finally gone and peace restored, the snow refugees, lead by former crown prince ItzzEnder, returned to the Snow State and reformed the Aculon Empire into the Aculon Republic with him Ender in charge and finally restoring proper democracy to the Snow State. After establishing the republic, Ender and the rest of the Snow State members tore down the Iron Torch and built a massive graveyard in its place to commemorate all the soldiers who fell during the Battle of Aculon, with it being overlooked by a massive statue of Turkey.
With peace to the Snow State restored, the rest of the world returned to normal and were finally able to achieve Turkey's long-desired world peace, with Elanuelo's legacy of tyranny and murder becoming a distant memory and fading from consciousness.

This plot was said to include a violent uprising and an attempt on my life, and so I acted accordingly and executed those responsible, including Turkey. I was unfortunately mislead. - Elanuelo was not actually able to play for the first few days of the event. As such, the idea of him operating behind the scenes from an underground bunker was created after the event had wrapped up and his scenes in the bunker were shot afterwards as well.
