The Eldritch Goop, also known as the Malice, is a major antagonist in the 2011 Australian adult-animated sitcom web series SMG4.
It serves as a major antagonist of the Showgrounds Era, being one of the three main antagonists (alongside Wren and Marty) of Season 13, a minor antagonist of Season 14, and a major antagonist of the Puzzlevision Saga, specifically as the main antagonist of SMG4 Movie: IT'S GOTTA BE PERFECT.
It is a colossal goop that was created by SMG4 while making his perfect video, thanks to the keyboard that mysterious TV person gave him, causing a massive cataclysm on Peach's Castle. The goop possessed SMG4 and took over the castle, trying to spread throughout the Mushroom Kingdom. It also trapped Mario, Meggy and SMG3 inside the castle and tried to kill them. It was defeated when SMG3 managed to free SMG4 from the goop and complete the video with him. However, the goop still remained in the place where the castle sank. However, Princess Peach was trapped inside the goop and eventually went insane and mutated into a monster.
Appearance[]
Eldritch Goop's appearance is that of a red goo with several tentacles full of sharp teeth and eyes. The goop can change his shape and size as he pleases, creating monsters, illusions and traps from himself. When he is in a form of emptiness, the goop is seen as a dark entity with pale eyes flashing within him. At the end of the film, the goop is a huge monster with sharp teeth and a large mouth.
Biography[]
The Eldritch Goop is created by SMG4, thanks to the keyboard that the TV Adware gave him.
As SMG4, now demonic, tells SMG3 that the video will be perfect, the goop starts surrounding them, as his appendages start to appear around SMG3 and starting to pull him into the goop. Fortunately, Meggy saves him by kicking SMG4 away and throwing SMG3 out the window, as SMG4, now more furious, roars at them, causing the goop to spread out of SMG4's computer and covering the entire castle. Mario, Meggy, Saiko, Bob, Tari, Luigi and Fishy Boopkins then look at the castle, shocking them as the castle is now completely taken over by the goop. Boopkins then attempts to get inside the castle to find SMG4, despite Meggy telling him not to, but the goop starts pulling him down into it the more he moves closer to the door. A large creature-like appendage rises out of the goop in front of Boopkins. The crew then decide to fight off the creatures in an attempt to save Boopkins, but SMG3, Mario and Meggy are thrown inside the castle, making everyone else get caught by the goop.
After they run out of ideas, Saiko Bichitaru and the crew had no other choice but to destroy the Peach's castle. With the help of Swagmaster69696969696 and Chris Gordman, they were able to place explosions to destroy it with the castle while the meme guardians are still in it to finish the video in order to escape. Meanwhile, SMG4 and SMG3 finish the video just as the USB drive glows and the keyboard disables itself. As they attempt to escape, they find themselves hanging onto the crumbling walls for dear life, facing imminent danger. However, they were both able to escape the hole, but at the cost of the video and the castle. The entire crew mourns the loss of their home as the entity completely devoured the castle, leaving an enormous crater that is beyond repair. Mario thinks that they can fix it together because the castle always gets fixed in the next video, but Meggy states that the castle won't be returning anytime soon, marking this the permanent destruction of Peach's castle. SMG4 expresses his regret for causing the destruction but resolves to make things right by building a new castle together to make things right. Once they all left, they instantly forgot that Princess Peach was still in there.
Let's Go Visit Peach![]
SMG4, SMG3, Mario, and Meggy went to the underground caverns to get the power star as the final component needed to complete the new castle. As they arrived, they are now in the very bottom of the catherns where the Goop is still alive but inactive, and now holds Peach's castle, or what's left of it. As they landed on the exit, they stumbled on the remains of Peach's Castle, completely destroyed by the Demonic Goop. Exploring the remains, Mario searched the cannon to attempt to find Meggy only to find Dobby who had enough of Mario's antics and attacks him. SMG4 tries to shoot Dobby only to scare him off and instead mistakenly shoots Mario's head off again. They then heard a noise from behind the painted glass window of the castle, so Mario used one of SMG3's bombs to blast the window, revealing a gagged Meggy stuck on cobwebs. As SMG4 removed the gag off Meggy, she warned them that it is a trap. Suddenly, some of the wreckage was blasted open to reveal the entity who kidnapped Meggy, Princess Peach herself, who was mutated into a beast after she was left forgotten for months inside the pit, due to the influence and exposure to the Demonic Goop. As she tackled and beat SMG4, Mario and SMG3 attempted to flee, but when Mario spotted a cannon nearby, he and SMG3 head off there. Loading the cannon with SMG3's bombs, they fired at Peach, causing her to flee, releasing SMG4 from her grasp.
PUZZLEVISION[]
Mr. Puzzles went to SMG4, complimenting how good of an antagonist SMG4 was in SMG4 Movie: IT'S GOTTA BE PERFECT. SMG4 looks down in guilt of destroying Peach's Castle all for a perfect video. After Mr Puzzles was offline, SMG4, in a fit of rage, grabs Luigi and runs towards it for making him destroy Peaches Castle. He lets out a scream before launching the villain, smashing his screen and sending his head flying into the sky, thus avenging the destruction of Peaches Castle in the process.
It is currently unknown what happened to the goop afterwards, but it can be presumed that it now remains in the caverns of Peach's castle while keeping the remains of what's left of it. It might possibly kill whoever dares to step foot of the very location of what's once the original home of the SMG4 crew.
Trivia[]
