Well then. I’m pretty sure this is a big surprise. Oscorp is corrupt.. Whether it is Ben running it or Norman Osborn. Once I destroy the entire city.. We do not have to fear anyone. No corruption on Earth.. that sounds just like freedom.
~ Electro unmasking himself

Maxwell Dillon, also known as Electro, is the main antagonist of the 2022 Marvel superhero fanfilm/presentation The Spiderman, and a major antagonist of Spiderman: The Shocking Truth.

He is a former Oscorp scientist, high-ranked official and electric engineer who grew envious of Ben Parker and Norman Osborn, and was bent on taking Oscorp over by using many criminals for his own agenda.

Thirsty for bloodshed and destruction, Electro had ambitions of making the world his and become a hero figure for everyone after causing at least hundreds of thousands, if not millions of casualties around his city, and eventually he activates an electric nuke which sucks the electric power of the entire city, and causes a massive electric explosion which could end many, many lives. However, one second before the explosion, Spiderman and Black Cat defuse his bomb, thus leading the tyrannical supervillaIn to failure and arrest.

He is the archenemy and tormentor of Spiderman / Peter Parker and the killer of both Ben and Mary Jane.

He is portrayed by Joseph Gordon Levitt in his first villainous role.

History[]

Maxwell Dillon was always an ambitious man with great ideas, but he was always held back in life. One day, he became an engineer and scientist at Oscorp, but when Ben Parker took control of the company, Dillon grew envious of him and of Peter. He grew tired of obeying orders and secretly plotted against his own company and especially his own superiors. He secretly disguised himself as a supervillainous killer called Electro with intentions of making Oscorp his and using the criminals, led by their kingpin Richard Fisk, for his own needs.

He started torturing and killing many Oscorp workers and civilians in general, just so he could make Oscorp and the entire world his.

Many years later, Dillon is seen meeting Peter and Ben inside a lab at the Oscorp tower. He and Ben argue about his creations and Ben fears that it is perhaps dangerous. Therefore, Ben declines his offer for these creations which he wanted to make, and the argument ends as Ben takes Peter home, leaving Dillon ambitious and vengeful.

Disguised as Electro, Dillon is seen torturing one of the Oscorp scientists Doctor Henry Cavendish, after he tied the scientist with a moving rope to a tank of geno vipers. He explained to Dr. Cavendish that the rope can move and place him inside the viper tank, as the vipers shall eat his flesh , bones and even organs if he doesn't tell about the location of the Oscorp's manager systems.

Cavendish doesn't know the answer, and Electro considers him useless just before he placed Cavendish inside the tank, thus letting the vipers feast on his organs and other limbs.

The mad supervillain also sends Richard Fisk a letter, which grants him the access to take over Oscrop by force and use all of it's equipment.

Electro later ties one of Richard Fisk's goons to a bomb and puts plastic tape on his mouth. As the captive goon goes to Ben and Peter, his bomb explodes and Ben dies inside the explosion, much to Peter's sadness.

Peter then witnesses Electro's hologram, whom tells him to find the real Electro near the city's power plant. He warns Peter that he has caught MJ.

As Peter comes to save Mary Jane, he sees her tied to a bomb but luckily without any mouth tape. Electro then appears, and warns that if the bomb explodes, it shall release all the electricity of the power plant's computers onto MJ, since he managed to attach the power sources to the bomb. Electro tries to force her to tell him where the key for the systems is. However, MJ refuses and acts in courage, as Spiderman also tells him that only Ben knew the answer.

Out of rage and lust for power, Electro activates the bomb and MJ is then electrocuted with all the electricity of the power plant combined. MJ dies and in her last breath she remarks how much she loves Peter.

Spiderman then fights Electro out of rage, and Electro knocks him out just before Felicia Hardy / The Black Cat saves his life as he set her free from Fisk's control.

Back to his original form, Dillon meets Spiderman at the Oscorp tower and warns him that Fisk has taken over the company, as according to his research, Fisk is actually Electro.

Shifting the blame onto Fisk, The Rhino and Felicia attempt to kill their former boss. However, the entire Oscorp buidling collapses and explodes due to Electro's bombs being planted, and Parker intervenes and convinces The Black Cat not to shoot Fisk. She decides not to kill Fisk, but he is anyway killed off by Electro, who then unmasks himself. Behind the masks, Maxwell Dillon was actually revealed to be Electro. Dillon revealed his true motives and plans on taking over Oscorp and forcing the world to see him as a great hero figure. However, while he was speaking, the bomb was activated, and it took all the electric power of the city. As a result, the city went through a blackout and if the heroes wouldn't find the power box, an electric nuke would destroy the entire city.

Electro then followed Spiderman and Black Cat into the power plant. He fought Spiderman while Felicia went to find the box. Eventually, the box was found and the city's power came back. As Electro's plans have failed, Dillon was put into jail for the rest of his life.

Personality[]

Max Dillon is an ambitious warlord who would do anything to satisfy himself and get rid of "corruption" for his own needs. He grew envious of Ben and Peter Parker, and he secretly plotted to end Oscorp at all costs, just so he could take over. He also used the mafia, led by Richard Fisk, in order to achieve his goals. He let Richard take over the company just so he could kill the crime lord himself, and take over Oscorp by force. He also managed to shift the blame onto Richard until he unmasked himself, thus becoming more dangerous than the entire mafia combined, since his deception is extremely high.

Having no remorse or redeeming qualities, Electro enjoys killing people and he keeps it as a secret so he won't get caught. He is also very obsessed with becoming a greater "hero" than Ben or Spideman.

Powers and abilities[]

  • Telekinetic superpowers - Electro has the ability to generate and manipulate electricity. He uses his electric powers as a main attack, and he causes lots of damage.
  • Strategy - Dillon is power hungry and he has enough strategy to commit terrible atrocities and crimes. He plans his attacks step by step and he knows how to put people into a death trap or bomb many people up in a way that he doesn't get caught.
  • Bomb engineering - Dillon created many bombs, including one massive electric nuclear weapon, and he caused a massive amount of damage by placing his bombs on people and tying the hostages up with the bomb on their chest. As seen with Ben Parker, his bombs are wide ranged and whoever stands next to the hostage dies as well.

Trivia[]

  • He is the second live-action version of Electro, after the one from The Amazing Spider Man.
    • He is also by far the darkest and most evil and dangerous version of Electro, and he is the first one to be graphic.
  • Just like his comic book counterpart, this version of Electro is white with a green clown-like suit. However, this version is much more evil and dark.
  • This version of Electro is rather a serial killer than a powerful supervillain. Despite this, however, the MFU's Electro does act like a supervillain at times, and therefore he could still be considered as both a supervillain and a dangerous killer.
  • This version of Electro is based on Doctor Death, a real serial killer who did similar crimes. Also, the viper tank scene was based on Doctor Death's experiments on human civilians.
  • The creator of the MFU says that this version of Electro is by far the most threatening and purely evil. He describes Electro as a "returning old foe that was never seen before and you will never see one as evil as this one".
