“ | All For One, you say? Good… that one… I remember meeting a person who went by that name. It was long ago, 10 years or so. I doubt we’re talking about the same person, but I digress. They almost foiled everything I had planned for, but now that we have a chance to exterminate them, do so. | „ |
Emperor Belos, (real name Philip Wittebane) is the overarching antagonist of The Owl House and My Hero Academia crossover fanfiction, All For Luz. He is the mysterious ruler of The Boiling Isles who is working with Tyler Wittebane, his descendant to murder all Superhumans in the Human realm, who is also interested in All For One due to their past encounter.
Personality[]
Not much is seen of Emperor Belos due to his minimal appearance, however it’s shown that Belos is a sophisticated and soft spoken individual when speaking to his descendant, and also seems to share the same sentiment about superhumans, showing to be glad when Tyler says that the bloodline of the Wittebane’s won’t be tainted due to Julia.
Biography[]
Past[]
Nothing is known about Emperor Belos life before the events of the story, although it’s presumably following the same structure, so Belos was once from the Human Realm named Philip Wittebane who spent most of his life with his brother, Caleb, before the two ended up in the Boiling Isles and Philip murdered Caleb during a confrontation. Belos rose to power and engaged the Coven System, attempting to destroy all Wild Magic from the world, at least that what he says.
24 years ago, Belos met a man named All For One and engaged in conflict with him that turned into a 10-year long war for control of the Isles. Proving too powerful for him to defeat on his own, he teamed up with Eda Clawthorne, along with his Coven, to drive off the supervillain back to the Mutant Realm with his sludge monster form (passing it off as a kind of abomination magic). As a thank you, he pardoned the Owl Lady for her crimes.
In the aftermath, Belos got his hands on a magic mirror that able to communicate with the human realm and he at some point, contacted his descendant, Tyler Wittebane. Together the two decide to take out all superhumans.
Planning With His Descendant[]
As Luz makes her mark as a vigilante, Belos is even communicating with Tyler through the mirror, discussing the “The Mass Power Awakening Event". When Tyler mentions All For One, Belos brings up the time he met another person named that, but brushes it off as a coincidence and puts his trust in Millie Ravenclaw, the top assassin in his coven, to help Tyler and him reach his goal before cutting communication.
During the war and destruction in Gravesfield, Belos managed to bring his descendant and Tyler’s pregnant wife in the Boiling Isles, placing them in a guest room, now that they're homeless, and the two having plans of a discussion in the morning.
According to Amity, conversations with Belos and her family had been very hostile lately. It seems he's beginning to realize that they were, in fact, somewhat responsible for enabling All For One to almost take the Boiling Isles from him during the war.
