Emperor Bowser is the secondary antagonist of the 2021 Mario & Luigi fanfiction Mario & Luigi: Darkest Timeline. He is an alternate future version of Bowser who, after selling his soul to Mephistopheles after being manipulated by him, was able to take over the entire Mushroom Kingdom and rule over it for years.
History[]
Emperor Bowser from the bad future is a version of Bowser, who after the death of Princess Peach was deceived into thinking the Mario Brothers killed her by Mephistopheles. Bowser would make a deal with Mephistopheles selling his soul to him in exchange for giving Bowser’s army a power boost which Bowser would use to lead a genocidal war on the Mushroom Kingdom which ended with him wiping out nearly every single Toad.
Bowser would eventually take over the entire mushroom Kingdom. Bowser would also do things like routinely imprison and likely kill anyone who betrayed him. Bowser also has plans to conquer Daisy’s kingdom Sarasaland and expand his empire even further across the entire world.
During the fic when the heroes from the past arrive along with Bowser. Bowser goes to meet his future counterpart and figures out the truth behind everything. At the same time, the rebels managed to overwhelm Emperor Bowser and as punishment for his failure, Mephistopheles kills him.
