Endurance of Will is a minor boss in Halo 4: Mythic Overhaul. She was a living Forerunner who was converted into a Promethean as the means to safeguard the Didact. In time after the Didact's release, she was reprogrammed into a member of the Storm Covenant.

Past[]
Endurance was born a Warrior-Servant and held right respect with her mentor Bitterness guiding her to her first form. During the Human-Forerunner War, she was a romantic interest for the Didact but would remain single because of the choice the Didact had and so he chooses the Librarian instead. Because of the choice, this caused her to have a hatred on the Librarian for millennium, despite this she continued as Bitterness' advisor and clash with the Didact in each battle strategy. In the final years of the Forerunner-Flood War, she was summoned by the now mentally-unstable Didact who revealed his plan of converting other Prometheans and all of humanity into war machines. Worried yet not voicing any concern about it, she became his right-hand because of her code of honor and loyalty to him.
After the Librarian knocked the Didact out and carries him to Requiem to be imprisoned, Endurance met up with her and agreed to help due to her faith in the Didact was not as it seems. With the Didact in his Cryptum and the Librarian imprinting her personality in Requiem with the means to control the Prometheans to guard the Cryptum, she too composed herself into a Promethean Knight to follow her loyalty to him. In the aftermath of the Forerunner-Flood War and over millenium, some of the other Prometheans like her would experience an evolution as they would be able to produce Promethean Watchers and Promethean Crawlers as well as producing Promethean Soldiers and Promethean Sentinels on their own to expand themselves while still guarding the Cryptum. As such, she soon evolved into an Armored Commander as well yet continued her work on guarding the Cryptum.
Halo 4: Mythic Overhaul[]
In 2557, she soon became aware of the Storm Covenant and the Master Chief on Requiem's surface. Under her programming, Endurance begins an operation to safeguard the Cryptum by beginning extreme measures to stop them from shutting the pylons down and reaching the Cryptum. Both pylons were eventually deactivated and was forced to have the Prometheans fall back in a last stand fighting against many Storm Covenant forces with her comrades while too engaged to face Master Chief. Though she failed to stop Master Chief from mistakenly releasing the Didact, she was soon under the Didact's control as she and the other Prometheans bow before him along with the Storm Covenant moments before the Didact restraints the Master Chief with his maelstrom and declared the return of the Forerunners before blasting him away making their leave.
Since the Didact's release and the Promethean constructs now added to the ranks with an expanded change of their variety, she became a commander of the Storm Covenant and led a battalion to strike against the UNSC at the Infinity's crashsite. Despite their efforts however, the Master Chief helped the UNSC pushed them back resulting them to retreat from the ship. Fearing the worse that the Infinity could remain the only opposition to the Didact, she followed his orders to have a majority of the Storm Covenant prevent the UNSC from destroying the particle Cannons guarding the gravity well that keeps the ship vulnerable.
With the UNSC forces arriving by sending in a Mammoth to take out the particle Cannons, she orders the Storm Covenant personal protecting the particle Cannons to stop them from destroying the cannons. With two destroyed, she sends a Lich to disable the Mammoth's turret to prevent the UNSC from potentially destroying the other two particle cannons. The Lich was eventually destroyed and the Master Chief makes his way to get to the sniper ally that leads to the Librarian's shrine. In one last ditch, she and her men battle Master Chief as she proves herself a formidable foe to him even with her forces supporting her. Despite this, she was eventually killed along with a majority of her battalion and the particle cannons would be shut down with Master Chief signaling the Infinity's weapon systems through a resignation to remotely destroy the gravity-well.
Though she died and failed to prevent Master Chief from protecting the gravity well, the Infinity proves to be in no opposition to the Didact and instead leaves Requiem due to Del Rio's incompetence and cowardice with the exception of Master Chief, however, who stayed behind because how he knew the dangers of what the Didact would do if he reaches Earth.
Personality[]
As a Warrior-Servant, she is honorable but sensitive when it comes to her loyalty to the Didact and resentful towards the Librarian. However, deep down despite her respect towards the Didact, she had her doubt as she is rational to never fully accept his genocidal campaign. As a Promethean, she is shown to have a grace while calculative, strategic and intelligent as she led the Promethean Constructs to try to stop the Master Chief from awakening the Didact. Her personality however changed while keeping her aspects, she becomes genocidal and extremely deadly after falling under the Didact's control as a commander of the Storm Covenant.
Appearance[]
Her caraspace was original as the same as the other Promethean Knights in their minor forms until their evolution gave them a unique variety when she evolved into an Armored-Commander as she is shown in her custom Armored-Commander caraspace with custom white and dark red plating and the lights originally colored blue only to be colored orange and wields a Sentinel Beam.
Trivia[]
- While her canon counterpart actually got destroyed before the Didact's release and rebuild for Warzone simulations in canon, the Mythic Overhaul version is shown to be replaced in Forerunner which a Promethean Soldier is seen taking her place trying to stop the Master Chief while she has a role in Reclaimer in the mod as a boss for the player to fight against.
