~ Energyreaper to Sci-Twi. |
Energyreaper is one of the main antagonists of the Equestria Girls film My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Friendship Games, as well as a minor antagonist in My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Legend of Everfree and My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Magical Movie Night and one of the main antagonists of My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Revenge of Disharmony.
He is one of the sons of the Crisis, with the ability to control energy, which possessed Reaper of Worlds, and then Sci-Twi, in order to destroy the Human World. He is also the leader of the Electrons squad (in which, after the events of Friendship Games, the survivor Midnight Sparkle was included).
Biography[]
Past[]
It is known about the past of the Energyreaper that during his life he was one of the weakest sons of the Crisis, and was ridiculed and abused by his siblings, as a result of which he developed a pathological desire to become stronger and began to see himself above all the other inhabitants of Oneness.
During numerous journeys between multiverses, the Energyreaper acquired full mastery of Electricity Magic and Energy Magic, destroying more than one million of all things in Oneness. Subsequently, he became a member of the New Elements of Disharmony from the Human World, taking the position of the third Element of Disharmony in it, and continued to improve his strength for several hundred years.
At some point, he decided to challenge The Gate Guardian himself, and as a result of a short battle, The Gate Guardian split the body of the Energyreaper, but the latter managed to escape from his physical shell in the form of a spirit, after which he disappeared, and The Gate Guardian partially remained the winner.
My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Friendship Games[]
When Midnight Sparkle throws the Reaper of Worlds into one of the portals leading to Equestria, the Energyreaper at that very moment wanders around Equestria still in the form of a spirit. Reaper of Worlds falls directly on him, as a result of which the Energyreaper restores its physical shell, possessing the body of the Reaper of Worlds. After that, he breaks back into the Human World using the energy gap he created between the worlds, and creating a giant column of energy, shoots Midnight Sparkle with an electric beam and, landing next to her, declares his intention to kill her, because she supposedly shouldn’t have been interfered with his plans and unleashes electric waves on her.
“ | You shouldn't have interfered with my plans. Death awaits you! | „ |
~ Energyreaper of Midnight Sparkle |
During the battle, he tries to kill Midnight Sparkle with lightning bolts, but misses, simultaneously ordering Sunset Shimmer not to interfere in the battle, otherwise he will kill her too. After a long battle, Midnight Sparkle tries to gather the last of her strength and at breakneck speed flies directly at the Energyreaper, but he, having foreseen a similar outcome of events and using the “Precision Energy Threads Technique”, captures the internal organs of Midnight Sparkle, squeezing them with force. But Midnight Sparkle uses this to her advantage and pulls the threads so that they are thrown towards the Energyreaper and lashed out in a noose on his head, causing Midnight Sparkle to brutally break the Energyreaper's neck, temporarily weakening him.

~ Energyreaper to Midnight Sparkle. |
Sunset, realizing that what she once endured is happening to Twilight, tells her that magic cannot give everything she wants: real magic comes from honesty, loyalty, laughter, generosity and kindness. She destroys Twilight's device, causing the magic to return to Rainbooms, and she herself becomes an angelic doppelgänger with flaming wings: Daydream Shimmer.
Daydream uses his magic to clog the portals and fights Twilight and the Energyreaper in a magical battle. As soon as Spike calls her, Twilight is distracted and temporarily breaks out of her trance, which allows Daydream to easily surpass her and the Energyreaper, who was distracted due to the Reaper of Worlds's internal struggle for his body, which the Energyreaper uses to materialize his physical shell. As a result, Midnight Sparkle turns back into Twilight Sparkle, and the Energyreaper temporarily loses consciousness.
Upon waking up, the Energyreaper hypocritically thanks Sunset for helping him facilitate the way to kill his rival for the right to destroy the Human World, and "as the first act of revenge on his competitor" he decides to kill Puppy Spike, but Twilight comes to his defense, calling the Energyreaper a coward and a weakling because he attacks those weaker than him. Suddenly, Energyreaper is struck by a memory of how his brothers humiliated him for being the weakest of them, causing the Third Element of Disharmony to go berserk.
Energyreaper angrily demands that she repeat her words, simultaneously launching a network of energy threads towards a random Crystal Prep Academy student, cutting him into pieces. While everyone present is stunned by this action, the Energyreaper again demands Twilight to say her previous statements to his face. Undaunted, Twilight claims that he is still a coward and a weakling, to the rage of the Energyreaper.
While attempting to kill Twilight with energon threads, the Energyreaper offers to give her an instant death instead of a painful one if he retracts his words about his status. Despite this, Twilight refuses to back down, which angers the Energy Reaper even more due to her determination. In the end, Twilight tries to dodge another attack from the Energy Reaper but is deeply wounded in the chest by energy threads, along with Sunset, who was also injured while protecting Twilight.
Energyreaper begins to tremble at the sight of her dedication to protecting Twilight, causing the other Guardians of Friendship to worry. He asks Sunset if she is strong enough to be his equal in strength, and realizes that, even as a human, she protected human life, and how, as a result, she stood in his way, seeing in Sunset the true strongest inhabitant of the Human World, whom he can rely on. don't waste your energy. When the other Guardians of Friendship ask him to stop and remember who they are and beg him not to hurt Sunset or Twilight or anyone else, to which the Energyreaper lashes out at them in anger, telling them to shut up while he cuts some of the Canterlot High School.
In cold anger, the Energyreaper categorically tells them that none of the members of "HIS" squad of Guardians of Friendship were able to fulfill their assigned roles. They claim that they are all equal in the squad and that there is no such thing as a leader, which angers the Energyreaper even more. And in response to their requests that he change his mind, calling him the Reaper of Worlds, the Energyreaper declares that the Reaper of Worlds no longer exists, and that now there is only him, that is, the Energyreaper. After this, he binds the Guardians of Friendship with energy threads, and he goes to the wounded Twilight and Sunset.
Turning to Sunset, the Energyreaper says that he just wants to talk. Sunset, although wary, confronts him. Element of Disharmony told Sunset that what she did touched him. He says Sunset's destiny is death, but there is a way to avoid that fate. He tells Sunset that if he gives him Twilight, he will spare her life. When Sunset expresses confusion about this, Energyreaper clarifies by saying that Twilight will answer with her life for everything she and her Crystal Prep Academy did against Canterlot High School to protect the lives of everyone else. An angry Sunset angrily tells the Energyreaper that Twilight is innocent and that she was forced to act against her will. Energyreaper, without being embarrassed at all, and using the mind of the Reaper of Worlds mixed with his mind, simply says that he and the rest of the Guardians of Friendship are stronger than ordinary people. and that magic should only belong to the Guardians of Friendship and wants to create Harmony between them and Crystal Prep Academy with Canterlot High School, and that she will know what will happen when he is challenged, and when one of them tries to touch the magic of the Guardians Friendship they don't deserve.

Energyreaper reveals his status as the Element of Disharmony.
An enraged Sunset shouts that as long as the Energyreaper follows this way of thinking, he will never get what he wants. Unperturbed, the Energyreaper simply asks him to refrain from shouting, saying that it is clear that they do not agree. Stepping forward, Sunset categorically states that she will never allow the Energyreaper to take any life, including Twilight's. Energyreaper agrees, saying that he will just kill her: when Sunset replies that if he wants to take Twilight's life and the lives of others, then he will have to go through her first, Energyreaper simply smiles in a grin, saying how brave he is, before challenging Sunset to reveal herself as one of the Elements of Disharmony.
Energyreaper comments on his view of what everyone in Oneness should do, giving examples in the form of heroes, villains, and Guardians. He argues that if someone does not understand their role, they should not continue living. He then addresses Sunset, saying that her role is to turn Twilight over to him and leave. Energyreaper ends by saying that disobedience to higher powers is death. Sunset does not retreat, but simply seeks a path to victory. An angry Energyreaper shouts that Sunset cannot defeat him. Pulling some energy threads, the Energyreaper grabs Twilight behind Sunset.
He declares the matter settled, but Sunset attacks him nonetheless. Energyreaper asks her if she remembers that he said he would spare Sunset's life if she obeyed his orders. Twilight damages the Energyreaper's eye, located on his forehead in a diamond-shaped crystal with a snake pupil, but he remains passive. Energyreaper strikes Sunset, who dodges it, but then notices that Twilight has disappeared. As blood falls onto her hand, the Energyreaper reveals that he has tied Twilight up and will have to punish her, while at the same time thinking about frying her with his Electricity Magic.
“ | Don't scream, Sunset. She won't die from this. After all, he already possessed a full set of Friendship Magic and survived, which means he can survive this too. I have to explain everything to her properly, to break her spirit, to kill her. If she continues to resist her fate, I will use my Electricity Magic on her... Let her fry. | „ |
~ Energyreaper |
An angry Sunset attacks but is quickly stopped by the Energyreaper's electrical blasts. Approaching her, the Energyreaper kicks her, sending her a considerable distance away. Energyreaper then stabs her with only one finger with considerable force. Feeling confident, Energyreaper challenges Sunset to damage him and his body, which she attempts but fails because Energyreaper's bones are super durable, before brutally pushing her away. Twilight tries to get out of the energy threads, to which the Energyreaper responds by tightening his energy threads so tightly that one of them causes a deep wound in Twilight's leg, reminding her that her fate is now sealed and telling her to stop whining and accept her fate. As Twilight passes out from blood loss, the Energyreaper mockingly states that since she is now unconscious, she will not be able to watch the slow and painful process of her death.
As the battle with Sunset continues, the Energyreaper states that he visited the Human World approximately two years before Sunset Shimmer and the Night Ripper entered it, and that he managed to have a little "fun" in Canterlot City, causing random destruction in various parts of it. He also suddenly declares that he personally killed the human version of Sunset Shimmer and her parents just for his own pleasure. Upon learning of this, the Equestrian version of Sunset Shimmer loses his temper, materializes a sword in his hand and cuts the Energyreaper's body in half. Energyreaper then restores himself, briefly showing Sunset the skulls of her human version and the skulls of her human version's parents, just to mock her. Realizing that the fight is pointless to continue, and angry that he was caught in half, Energyreaper uses his powers, creating members of his new organization, Electrons, which includes Electroglymps, Blitzblade and Charged Sawmill, and then pins Sunset to the ground with energy threads. to kill her personally.
However, suddenly, his body begins to break, after which the Reaper of Worlds emerges from him and was able to regain control of the body in his Guardian form. Frightened by such a sudden appearance, Energyreaper and other Electrons cower in fear before the appearing Reaper of Worlds. Reaper of Worlds states that while he was fighting for the right to free himself from the body of the Energyreaper, he realized that the Energyreaper did not deserve mercy for everything that he had done against all things. The energy reaper hypocritically begs to be spared, since he knows that the Reaper of Worlds has a sufficient level of mercy for all things in Unity. However, to the horror of the Energyreaper, Reaper of Worlds says that those who dispose of the lives of innocents as they please and do not repent of anything they have done do not deserve mercy. As a result, he crosses his swords and unleashes a stream of pure Friendship Magic on the Energyreaper, which destroys Energyreaper.

Personality[]
Energyreaper differs from all other New Elements of Disharmony in its exceptional level of selfishness, as well as a fairly strong opportunistic character, ready to calmly abandon anyone if it is unprofitable for him. He deeply cares about all the members of the New Elements of Disharmony and does not show genuine concern for any of them, taking the position of the Third New Element of Disharmony from the Human World only out of a selfish sense of superiority over other entities that are weaker than him. Despite the fact that he saved Forestfear from the fate of being killed, he did this only because he counted on having support in the form of the Second New Element of Disharmony from the Human World, planning in any case to betray him when cooperation with him would be unprofitable for the Energyreaper.
He is incredibly vengeful, as throughout the four Equestria Girls films he wanted revenge on Sci-Twi simply because she accidentally turned into Midnight Sparkle and regarded her as a competitor for the right to destroy the Human World. His vindictive, petty, and sadistic nature is shown when he directly describes to Sci-Twi the process of how he will torture her, and even threatened to kill her Puppy Spike as his "first act of revenge on her."
One of the most disgusting traits of the Energyreaper is that he loves to choose the weakest and most innocent of his victims and becomes enraged and vengeful if any of these victims begin to oppose him, considering them a threat to his sadistic pleasures, ready to fall to the vilest and even terrible methods to force the enemy to stop resisting him and allow himself to be killed.
And the second most disgusting feature of the Energyreaper is that he loves to take over the bodies of his victims and use their negative emotions and minor negative thoughts to present them in a negative way, making others think that the victim is telling the sincere truth, which is basically not the case. Through this method, he took over the body of the Reaper of Worlds to restore his body through him, and used his inner hatred for Crystal Prep Academy (which was the limit of the Reaper's negative emotions) to make others think that the Reaper of Worlds had such a strong hatred for Crystal Prep Academy that that he was ready to kill all her representatives (which the Reaper of Worlds would have done even in her soul and thoughts), and also to make others think that the Reaper of Worlds regards himself and the Guardians of Friendship as higher beings who will kill anyone who dares to touch anyone unworthy of magic to her (which the Reaper of Worlds did not even dare to think about, being always striving for Harmony and equality among the entire population of Oneness).
Energyreaper is also characterized by his deceitful thinking on the topic that everyone must fulfill his role and believes that supposedly he alone holds the balance between Harmony and Disharmony, which is a pure lie, since all these thoughts are nothing more than elevating oneself above everything, that surrounds him, as well as the desire to show that all weaklings in his eyes must do what he orders, because otherwise he will kill them all. This further proves the narcissistic, arrogant and narcissistic nature of the Energyreaper, which he perfectly hides behind his incredibly vindictive and, above all, sadistic nature.
Energyreaper also has a pathological desire to become stronger than everyone else and often puts himself above everyone else, due to the fact that in the past he was subjected to insults and bullying from his brothers due to his then weakness in comparison to them. Because of this, the Energyreaper was incredibly sensitive to the topic of his power status and was furious when Sci-Twi pointed out his more than obvious position as a weakling, as he only sought out the weak and innocent inhabitants of the Human World as his enemies. This angered him to the point that he demanded that Twilight retract her words and threatened to kill her if she did not comply. This position was in stark contrast to his desire to kill her for himself as the culprit of his psychological pain, after witnessing her lose her magical powers and become a commoner again, becoming obsessed with killing her through all the torture and then through painful death from electricity. This behavior was further proof of the vile nature of the Energyreaper, ready to calmly kill anyone who dares to touch his "psychological trauma from the past", regardless of the level of innocence of his target whom he wants to kill.
Quotes[]
“ | Energyreaper: Girl....Girl, let's talk. Come out...Hey girl...let's talk. You know, I'm very touched. Your friendship has shocked me to the core. And there are hardly any words in this world that can describe my feelings. However, you cannot avoid death. (in a sarcastic voice, with a hint of sadistic mockery) How unfortunate it will be if it comes to this... But you have one... One single chance for you all to avoid death. This girl. Her name is Twilight Sparkle, right? Give it to me. She will answer for everything she has done to us and you will not have to worry about your lives if her life is given to me as a sacrifice. Sunset Shimmer: What are you talking about?! Sparkle is not to blame for anything! She was forced out to do what she did! And we may have been at odds with her and her Crystal Prep Academy, but we never hated them or anyone else. So I won't do it! |
„ |
~ Energyreaper to Sunset Shimmer. |
“ | What does it mean to be honest in fulfilling your role in this world? The hero performs the duties of a hero. The villain performs duties. Great forces of good, like the Guardians, protect everyone and everything. And the Elements of Disharmony, like me, defend the natural order between Harmony and Disharmony. No matter what happens. Even at the cost of your own and other lives. You know, I think. that those who do not understand their role in this world, and those who do not understand their responsibilities to others, should not be allowed to live. And you? What is your responsibility? It's about giving me Sparkle and disappearing on her own. If you can’t or don’t want to, when your superiors order you, all that remains is to kill you. | „ |
~ Energyreaper |
“ | Energyreaper: So...how many years have you and your Academy annoyed us? Like, about twenty years, right? Sci-Twi: (voice trembling with fear)...And why do you need to know this? |
„ |
~ Energyreaper describes to Sci-Twi the process of how he will torture her, speaking through the negative emotions of the Reaper of Worlds. |
Trivia[]
- He is the darkest and creepiest New Element of Disharmony from the Human World.
- Although he respects Forestfear's strength and leadership and strategic intelligence, he treats him this way only out of Forestfear's hierarchical superiority over the Energyreaper, rather than out of genuine respect for his Elemental counterpart, and even harbors a deep hatred towards him for that such a powerful Element of Disharmony retains its noble and positive standards, further demonstrating the deep hatred of the Energyreaper for everything that contains even a hint of the presence of good.
- In the Reaperverse, a fan theory about the death of Sunset Shimmer's human counterpart was confirmed. But it was not the original Sunset who killed her, but the Energyreaper himself, additionally killing her entire family. This is also proven when he shows the Equestrian version of Sunset the skulls of her human version and the human version of her family.
- And although until the events of the fourth season, the fate of the remaining members of the Eletrons remained unknown (due to the canceled full-length My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Path of Furious Lightning, in which they were supposed to die). However, with the release of My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Revenge of Disharmony, the Energyreaper himself confirmed that he killed the remaining members of his organization as soon as they were no longer useful to him, showing off their body parts as his trophies.
