Error Sans is the secondary antagonist of The Indie Game Movie. He is Chara's sadistic right hand man who assisted her in attempting to kill every indie game character in the multiverse, so she could become more powerful by absorbing their souls.
He was voiced by A Lego animation and a comic PRO!!!!!!!, who also voiced Chara.
Personality[]
Error Sans is arguably Chara's most powerful and sadistic minion. He is proven to be a big threat to the indie game characters, being able to kill even some of the powerhouses like Bendy and Cuphead with ease. He is also shown to enjoy mocking his victims as they're about to die, as shown when he prepares to kill Steve and Freddy near the end of the movie.
Biography[]
Error Sans makes his first appearance after Gaster presumes that Sans and Papyrus are doing ok, only for Error to appear and comments on how he's not so sure about that.
Error appears next when Gaster warns Sans and Papyrus about a threat, which just so happens to be Error. Error then engages in a fight between Gaster, Sans and Papyrus, of which he ends up losing. Before storming off, he makes a comment to them that he has an "extra trick" up his sleeve. he then goes to tell Chara about his loss, which motivates her into killing all of the indie game characters.
Error doesn't appear physically for awhile after that, though he does appear in a flashback when Monika tells Steve about her supposed encounter with Sans, who was actually Error Sans, and how he almost killed her.
Error then eventually shows up to help Chara in killing the indie game characters. When Steve asks The Batter if he's on their side or not, Error tells them that he's actually working for them. He then orders Batter to kill every animatronic there, resulting in a brawl between the animatronics and Batter. Error and Chara then congratulate Batter for his killings.
Error Sans then tells all the indie game characters that they'll be fighting him instead of Chara, much to Steve's surprise, and they then engage in a big fight. Bendy, in a blind rage, tries to kill Error due to him killing Boris, though Error is able to take him out in just one hit with a Gaster blaster blast. He then has him impaled on a bone.
Cuphead wonders where Mugman had went, but he finds him dead, likely murdered by Error. Cuphead, also in blind rage, tries to kill Error, but Error throws a bone into his head, and quickly puts Cuphead down. Error then goes missing for quite a bit after this.
After Steve chooses the option to destroy the indie game multiverse with the help of Monika, a portal then opens up and something shoots out of it. Chara wonders what it is, and she discovers that it's a note written by Error saying that he's back. Error then tells Chara that he, her, and The Batter will still be able to beat the other indie game characters, including Monika, but Chara replies by stabbing him, and sending him threw the portal.
After Chara kills Monika, Error shows up again, much to Chara's annoyance. He tries to convince her to team up with him again, but this is interrupted by The Batter transforming into his final form. He, The Batter and Chara, still choose to fight Gaster, Sakuya and Flowey, anyway, resulting in the true final battle. By the end of the fight, Chara and Gaster engage in a beam struggle, but Gaster gets the upper hand, and kills both Chara and The Batter. Error is presumed to have died because of Gaster as well, but he returns once the indie game characters are being revived. Steve is shocked to see him alive, but Error explains how he survived. Steve and Freddy apologize to Error for all they've done to him, but Error doesn't forgive them, and he prepares to kill them, but he is knocked out by Marisa Kirisame and Genji. Error is still confident that he'll be able to kill the indie game characters, but Steve mentions how he's outnumbered, and the indie game characters all get a turn beating him up. Freddy then finishes Error off. Error underestimates Freddy at first, thinking he's just gonna jumpscare him to death, but Freddy instead drags Error down to hell alongside Old Man Consequences. Meeting his brutal, yet, well deserved fate.
