You see, the old Captain 3, Cassie Emerald....she was held up as a goddess figure...sacrificed her life to save the people...however that's not the whole story. The truth is she didn't sacrificed herself, she also sacrificed the other half of people in the Splatlands, which included her very own Agent 10! She left them to die! Shot some in the legs so they can be slowed down and be fed to those....THINGS! All so she can save others! I am disappointed that they hid this truth. They believed that you, as citizens! Shouldn't have known! It's disappointing how our government, our people who were sworn to protect us, decided to just...lie about it, cover it up, hold this....the MURDERER up on a pedestal! And it goes far beyond that! My friend, my ally Odalia, a brilliant young lady was MISSING when she tried to tell the world about the truth! It was not a coincidence! Let me ask you citizens. Inkopolis and Octo Valley. Who has been there when we needed you most? After Commander Tartar destroyed and ripped apart families and destroyed homes, who was there to provide for you when the sad sack of the mayor was laying on his ass! Who was there, attempting to create inventions to better the lives of us and to fight against our own bodies issues!? Who was there as a friend....a friend to the people? It was me. I helped all of you because the world has beaten down on me for YEARS! And I will not let it happen to any of you! Which is why my plan will be in action, commencing very shortly and after it is done, I have a vision of...a new land. A new hope. Estefa Dora, known before as Raven Onyx is a major antagonist in The Culture of The Past series, serving as one of the two main antagonists of Culture of The Past 1 (Alongside Lewis Coltrane) and the posthumous antagonist for the rest of the series. He is shown to be an eccentric and well meaning scientist, entrepreneur and creator the Water Block. He is later revealed to be a Inktoling who despised the current life there was due to how he was treated as a child, and despised Inklings and Octolings, and wishes to help Inktolings by putting Inklings and Octolings back in the water.
Personality[]
Estefa is originally presented as a well meaning, eccentric and goofy scientist who helps his city and shows a kind hearted and non discriminate hatred towards anyone. He also shows a lackadaisical way of talking and enjoying people’s company, and a dislike for politics.
However, under this is a vengeful, cold hearted, petty and extremely malicious individual. While he attempts to still retain his cheery and polite persona, he will break when pushed to his limits. He is shown to utterly despise Inklings and Octolings from how he was treated as a kid, and show to have a martyr complex from his situation, showing a sense of entitlement.
With this, he shows a long time strategic intelligence, planning out his goal for years in order to make the city of Inkopolis and Octo Valley trust him. He shows a high amount of charisma while manipulating people, able to pull on their heartstrings.
Despite his suppose care towards fellow Inktolings, he has a much more survival of the fittest mentality, showing a little care if other Inktolings get killed during his mass flooding, and is very quick to lash out at Misa for questioning his motives.
Villainous Acts[]
- When he was a teen, he caused a car crash, which killed two other people and faked his own death so he can change his identity.
- Payed off Mayor Ridley to embezzle money and create ludicrous laws, such as gay marriage, the restrictions of Octo Valley immigrations and sending 40 people outside in the Splat Lands, resulting in 25 of their deaths, including Lyra’s parents, Eddie’s sister Sabrina, and the old Captain 3, Cassis. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
- Worked with Gabbie, The Lovers, Lewis Coltrane, Eddie Moss, Lyra, and The Twins in order to ruin the respect and faith Inkopolis and Octo Valley has with Claudia, Sebastian and The Splatoon. He had Gabbie and Lewis work with the experimenting and had Eddie, The Lovers, and Lyra on the business angle.
- Had The Twins record Claudia and Sebastion’s deal about the illegal voting to keep Eddie from getting elected, in an attempt to get their public image ruined and them arrested.
- Planned to use his product of Water Block and flood Inkopolis, Octo Valley and the other cities in order to mutate Inklings and Octolings back into Squids and Octopus’ forms, keeping them in the water in an attempt to make Inktolings dominate. It’s confirmed by Lewis that Inklings and Octolings can think while still in their forms, which leads to a FWTD. (MORAL EVENT HORIOZON)
- When it was pointed out by Misa that other Inktolings will be hurt or killed in the flooding, Estefa didn’t care.
- Showed Oblia and the others and Octolings and inkling mutating into their ancestors form and kept them as pets in his tank.
- Thrown Oblia into water and beaten her with his cane until she drowned and dissolved in the water, making a cruel joke about it.
- Blew up the Cuddlefish Cabin and kidnapped Misa and Lily while rescuing Freddie.
- Slit the neck of Lily in front of Misa.
- Assaulted both Eddie and Lewis for bickering and fighting.
- Took over the Off The Hook! Building, having Lewis brainwash Marina and Pearl be knocked out while he took over the live announcement.
- During his live announcement, manipulated the crowd in an attempt to lure them into a security and fully distrust the Splatoon, and he revealed the secret about Cassie’ leaving people to die and the Splatoon covering it up, all to create a large riot which would lead to an easier way to flood the cities. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
- Ordered Eddie, Gabbie, Lyra, The Twins, The Lovers and The Octolings Soldiers to stay in the studio, planning on flooding the city and having them be also turned or dissolved.
- Murdered 3 Octolings Soldiers for hesitating to flood the cities.
- Attempted to flood Octo Valley and Inkopolis before being stopped by Misa.
- Beaten Misa (another Inktoling) to a pulp and attempted to strangle them to death, insulting her and claiming they’re not a real Inktoling and then tries to drown them to death.
- He said if Humans didn’t accept him, that he’d be fine in killing them all too.
- When Misa goes back to try and save Estefa from the water hitting him, he pulls them in with him in an attempt to kill the both of them.
