Eternatus is the overarching antagonist of a pokemon fanfic, Pokémon Dominion.

It is a entity who was imprisoned for 30,000 years and attempts to destroy all of Galar after breaking free from it's shell, However it later redeems itself after being caught by Victor.

Origins

Eternatus is an alien that appeared thrity-thousand years ago when the meteorite that contained it impacted the Galar region of the planet. It awoken prior to the evengs of Dominion and went on a rampage, absorbing every power and energy in the area to recharge itself, creating the event called "The Darkest Day". Until two heroes, Zacian and Zamazenta defeated the monster and sealed it away for centuries. While imprisoned, Eternatus leaked energy across the Galar region from the core on its chest. When a Pokemon come in contact with the energy, they become gigantic and powerful, thus creating "Dynamaxing"

Pokémon Dominion

Chairman Rose found the remains of Eternatus and attempted to use it as a new source of energy for the Galar region however upon researching about the creature, Rose attempted to release Eternatus to destroy all of Galar by collecting all the wishing stars across the Galar region.

He allowed Oleana and Bebe to do the job of collecting all of the wishing stars to release Eternatus, neither were aware of this and gathered most of the stars before Bebe was decommissioned from the Champion Cup.
