Exegod (also known as Sonic.exe and formerly Exetior and Antitior) is the titular secondary antagonist of BECEnterprises' Sonic.exe series. His original name was Executor.
He appears as the titular main antagonist of Sonic.exe: Ultimate Extended Cut, Sonic.exe: The Untold Origins and Sonic - The Wrath of Exetior, the main antagonist of Sally.exe: Ultimate Extended Cut, Rouge.exe, and Bunnie.exe: Ultimate Extended Cut, the secondary antagonist of UNZIPPED-ORIGINS.bin, a posthumous antagonist in SONIC.UNZIPPED, D347HH4$R1$3N.EXE, MENTALLY_SCARRED, ALLHOPEISLOST.EXE, and CORRUPTION.EXE, and a major protagonist in Sonic - Corrupt Rising.
He is a malevolent demon who shares Sonic's appearance and vows on killing him and multiple artificial clones of him to open a portal that will allow him to enslave all of humanity. He later redeems himself after being brought back to life, and now is an anti-hero.
Exegod was indirectly created during a failed cataclysm in the void brought on by multiple forms of primordial energy, with the energy ramming into each other and creating a sentient mass of pure dark matter, composed with dark energy inside of it. Exegod, however, was too weak to sustain this form for very long after his creation, and his body was destroyed, but his mind was separated after his body's destruction and ended up being trapped inside of one of Sonic's 1-Up monitors in the Green Hill Zone, resulting in Exegod taking on Sonic's shape as the life monitor belonged to him.
Exegod was later freed by Sonic after he jumped on the monitor, Exegod was startled and confused by the sudden event, but saw a chance for freedom, and escaped the monitor still in Sonic's form. The zone became corrupted as Sonic traveled through, he soon came across Exegod taking on Sonic's regular form. Sonic approached the doppelganger as he turned into his true, demonic form, and introduced himself as Exegod before teleporting Sonic to the Spring Yard Zone, attempted to kill him there, which failed. And Exegod then teleported Sonic to another, darker realm. Exegod once again attempted to kill Sonic, but failed, and the hedgehog escaped the monster's grasp. Although Exegod was determined to not give up and laughed before starting his plan. But not before acknowledging the fact that he and everyone else in his reality were being controlled by the actions of a player named "Kyle" through a video game. Exegod warned Kyle that he would kill him and Kyle rushed a letter and the game he was playing on to his friend Tom before Exegod caught him.
Sonic.exe: Ultimate Extended Cut[]
Tom received the game in the mail and quickly got to playing it without question. After Exegod failed to kill Sonic, he moved on to killing his friends and his arch-nemesis. Exegod started with Tails, leaving behind multiple dead animals, knocking down trees, and destroying badniks, as Tails cleared through Green Hill. Tails jumped into a ring and ended up in a fiery realm with Sonic in it. He was quickly teleported back to Green Hill with Sonic, approaching the hedgehog, Tails was shocked when Sonic turned around and revealed his true, demonic form of Exegod. Exegod went on to torment Tails before corrupting him and moving on to Amy.
Amy managed to find Exegod disguised as Sonic, and used this form to charm Amy into manipulating Amy to attacking him, even though the demon was faster and could teleport. He eventually grew bored of Amy's attempts and corrupted her. Exegod went on to mess with Tom's dreams as he invaded and manipulated them by showing him the glitched characters he had failed to save. When encountering Knuckles, he decided to torment the echidna by disappearing and reappearing in front and behind him until he broke down and gave Exegod the perfect chance to mutilate and enslave him. Tom suffered more nightmares after attempting to take his mind off the game, but Exegod pressured him into continuing.
Exegod's final victim was Dr. Eggman. Eggman arrived in the Marble Zone and was chased down by the undead animals killed by Exegod. The feral creatures failed in catching up to Eggman and soon Exegod finished the job himself. Exegod then gloated about his victory through the game by showing disturbing imagery of the characters' corpses, and went on to kill Sonic. After murdering his benevolent doppelganger, emerged as a Sonic plushie in Tom's room, causing the frightened boy to break the disc and spread the word about Exegod's awakening.
Sally.exe: Ultimate Extended Cut[]
After the massacre of Sonic's friends, a girl named Harley was browsing Ebay looking for items relating to Sally Acorn, and purchased a DVD containing a glitched episode of Sonic SATAM. Later on, Harley downloaded a hacked ROM of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, which was conveniently the game in which she would determine the fate of Exegod's future victims of this round. Harley played the game, first starting as Blaze following Sonic through a special stage. Blaze got through the stage and continued wandering through another level before jumping through another warp ring, encountering Exegod as he spindashed into her and crushed her body until nothing was left but bones.
Exegod then went after Sonia, Sonic's sister, and managed to find her. He went on to torture the pink hedgehog before she ended up falling through the floor of another level and eventually drowning. Cream was the next victim, and proceeded to use multiple speed monitors to make herself go faster until she ran into a wall of spikes and slowly died. Sally was the last playable character, and would accidentally run into Exegod, calling her a sneaky brat for trying to spy on his plans. He touched Sally and they both disappeared, with Sally ending up in a small, dark area which rapidly started to shrink until she was crushed. After her death, a scene from the SATAM episode Harley tried to watch played of Exegod and Sally, and the game restarted with the two demons being present in the title screen.
Exegod went on to torment Sonic again, mocking him for not being able to save his friends and showing him the chaos he had brought onto Sonic's world, he later killed Sonic, and announced to Harley that he was an inevitable and unstoppable force of evil, and was forced to leave her alone after she broke the disc containing the corrupted episode.
Rouge.exe[]
Harley was able to find another disc created by Exegod and sent it to her boyfriend John, knowing that she wouldn't have enough time to destroy it before Exegod would come find her again. John received the disc in the mail and the game started with Rouge as the playable protagonist, however, Rouge was teleported to all the previous stages that Exegod's previous victims had died in, starting with Tails' death and being unable to continue due to Tails' character being corrupted by Exegod.
Rouge eventually stopped her journey at Sally's stage with the black walls closing in, but they didn't close in enough to kill her, instead, she was left alive long enough for Exegod to show up and kill her. Rouge, along with Sally now worked under Exegod and helped him to kill more of their friends, starting with Mighty, who was confused when the three refused to respond to him in their normal forms before Mighty touched Exegod, resulting in him being teleported to some Ruins. Mighty would find the corpses of the Chaotix as the Ruins were set on fire, the reanimated corpses of his friends persuaded him to get out alive, but Mighty fell victim to Exegod.
Tikal and the chao would fall victim to Sally, while Exegod dealt with Silver quickly and Rouge went on her way to kill Shadow. The game appeared to have ended, but not before Sonic was able to be played, and was forced to witness his friends being killed all over again before Exegod briefly talked with Sonic and ended the game. The disc came out melted, and Rouge appeared behind John as a plushie, but was thrown out of his window.
Bunnie.exe: Ultimate Extended Cut[]
John would find another disc created by Exegod and sent it to a young man named Jordan, although he was hesitant as Jordon had no clue who John was. In the game John had sent, Exegod went after more of Sonic's friends, starting with his uncle, Chuck. Uncle Chuck arrived in Green Hill Zone and came to a small bridge with a switch at the other side, suddenly Exegod appeared on the other side and laughed as he flicked the switch and sent Uncle Chuck to his death as multiple harpoons under the bridge impaled him, causing him to explode into a gorey mess.
Sonic's brother Manic would the arrive in the boss section of Casino Night, encountering his brother's warped clone and starting a boss fight. The fight was near impossible and Exegod ended it by crushing Manic into a bloody pulp. Exegod then started another boss battle with Antoine, and impaled him in the head with his own dick tracy-themed dick blade. His last victim was Bunnie Rabbot, who was standing on a floor of spikes due to her robotic legs, but the spikes began to rise and they liften Bunnie to a grey ceiling, crushing her.
Sonic then arrived in a corrupted, bloody version of Green Hill Zone, and found a bed of spikes where he was encouraged to kill himself. Jordan's choices lead to Sonic jumping and impaling himself on the spikes. The ghost of Sonic rose as Exegod approached him and welcomed him to the Cult of Exegod. A Bunnie Rabbot plush then appeared behind Jordan, and he proceeded to throw it away and destroy the game disc, before spreading the word of Exegod's plans for world domination.
Sonic - The Wrath of Exegod[]
Exegod finally decided it was time to kill the real Sonic, as the others he had killed were artificial ones that were the keys to unlocking world domination. Another game is sent, but this time to a young man named Brian, the game was from his best friend Manny, who noted on the game's soon-to-be-revealed weirdness. When the game loaded, Sonic was playable, but after the first boss battle, the game started to glitch as multiple messages flashed on the screen, presumably from Exegod himself. Soon, after the game started to glitch more heavily, Exegod arrived in the flesh and chased Sonic down, but stopped when Sonic reached the first sign post and entered "Dark Castle Zone".
Before entering Dark Castle Zone, Sonic came across Monty, a sentient monitor that would ask a series of questions, some of which were disturbing and personal. After the questions, Tails would enter Dark Castle Zone, which was a dark hybrid of Marble Zone. The game started to become more corrupted and glitched as Act 2 of Dark Castle Zone started with Sonic instead of Tails. Sonic then re-entered a part of the previous stage with a long stairway filled with blood, and was once again chased down by Exegod, but he got away in time once again.
Brian took another quiz with Monty upon entering Angel Island Zone, and unlocked Knuckles as a playable character, but soon switched back to Tails for variety. Tails soon came across numerous dead animals that had been massacred by an army of insane motobugs. The screen flashed with "MELANIE, KILL YOURSELF", which had a major effect on Brian as this was the name of his girlfriend who killed herself by running into traffic. Brian then chose to play as Knuckles and was chased down by multiple mutated Sonics, which he called "Meltings". Knuckles escaped them and faced off against Mecha Knuckles, but Brian then switched to Tails after noticing Exegod lurking nearby. Tails was chased down by Exegod through the fiery Angel Island and soon gave up, but before Exegod could kill him Tails dropped down from a bridge and Exegod then gave up. But then he jumped into the water and began to swim after Tails through an underwater maze, but the fox crossed the signpost at the end and managed to escape the monster's grasp.
After taking another quiz with Monty, Knuckles has Sonic enter Scrap Brain Zone. The zone contained elements from Sandopolis Zone, and when going into Act 2, Brian chose to play as Knuckles and found a red ring, but upon touching it the screen began to flash various colours as a look of panic wiped Knuckles' smile clean off his face. After clearing the zone successfully, Brian was forced to face again Silver, Mecha, and Metal Sonic and go through another chase with Exegod. A red smog filled the screen as Knuckles ran away from Exegod, but the fake hedgehog reappeared in front of Knuckles and after being assaulted by the echidna, Knuckles ran through the level, punching through the metal walls that were in his way and eventually passing the level.
After finishing an emotional quiz with Monty, Brian was able to control Amy Rose in Sonic 2's unreleased Hidden Palace Zone. After facing against a Metal Sonic hybrid, the end of the level featured what appeared to be an angel, watching over the zone which was serving as a graveyard. Exegod soon arrived and killed the angel when it attempted to protect Sonic, who was Brian's chosen character. The world began to glitch and turn red as Exegod chased Sonic down, and after Sonic passed the signpost, Exegod did so too. Exegod stopped and lunged at the screen, with the level changing to "Darkest Reality Zone".
Darkest Reality Zone was a carbon copy of Green Hill, but dark, damp, and decaying, with dying plants and broken level gimmicks. A pack of Meltings even showing up, but Sonic plowed through the creatures and appeared in the burning Angel Island Zone. When going to other zones Sonic encountered multiple other demonic creatures that Exegod had borrowed from another demon, Executior. Soon Sonic had to fight Sally, Shadow and Rouge, now brainwashed servants of Exegod. After beating them, Sonic was then trapped in a dark, secluded area where Exegod finally revealed himself.
Exegod informed Sonic on his plans to kill him, as he was the last "key" to Exegod's plans of world domination. Sonic then fought Exegod, and after the first attempt failed Brian decided to exit the game, but to no avail. He was determined to beat Exegod, and used Tails to try to defeat the demon. Brian then called Exegod out as a cheater, resulting in Exegod devouring and eating Tails, locking him as a playable character. After seemingly defeating Exegod as Knuckles, Eggman arrived to assist Knuckles as Exegod then devoured the Master Emerald. Exegod then killed Eggman and transformed into a super state called "Perfect Exegod" and quickly killed and ate Knuckles, as well as Amy. Exegod reveals that he had killed Melanie by possessing her due to Melanie indirectly contacting him through a Ouija Board. Exegod then absorbed Sonic and began taunting Brian, suddenly paralyzing the young man. The angel from the Hidden Palace Zone then came into view and revealed her identity as Melanie, and assisting Sonic out of Exegod's body and to a monochrome Hidden Palace, allowing him to turn super due to the chaos emeralds' presence. Sonic then attacked Exegod and challenged him to another fight, a fight that the demon would lose as Sonic blasted Exegod's perfect powers away and split him in half with one fatal strike, killing him as he melted into black goo and disappeared into the depths of Hell.
UNZIPPED-ORIGINS.bin[]
After learning of his friends' triumphant rescue of Sonic's friends and Exegod's defeat, Manny downloads what seems to be a ROM hack for Sonic the Hedgehog, but upon downloading and playing it, discovers that it reveals a dark secret about Exegod. After being banished to Hell, Exegod encounters Corrupt, another demon who decides to help Exegod escape and get revenge on Sonic for his previous defeat. Exegod agrees, but Corrupt wants to come along and help him. Exegod refuses, stating that this is his business and he has to handle it alone. Corrupt appears to understand, but then telekinetically slices Exegod into pieces as the demon melts into black goo and vanishes. Corrupt thanks Manny for witnessing Exegod's death and escapes, heading into Sonic's world. Manny then burned the game on a disc and sent it to Brian, he then tried to kill himself by slitting his throat, but Corrupt emerged from the wound and sent Manny's soul to Hell.
Sonic - Corrupt Rising[]
After having pieces of his body taken by Sonic and his friends and thrown into a cauldron, Exegod was successfully resurrected, even though it was not the intention. Upon awakening, Exegod remembered that the last thing that happened to him before he died was Corrupt betraying him. He immediately flew into a rage before breaking down and weeping, wishing that he was still dead. He calmed down and then laughed at Brian, who had been pulled into Sonic's world and was the one who Exegod had last fought, along with Sonic, although Exegod later calmed down and vowed to help Sonic and his friends kill Corrupt.
Exegod and his team arrived at Corrupt's lair, where he presented his massive army filled with brainwashed cultists. Exegod and Sonic went after Corrupt as he and Miss Goldman kidnapped Sally. The player, Anthony, was able to control Sonic and Exegod and lead them to Goldman, who was holding Sally and Anthony's sister Lilia over the edge of a cliff. Sonic attempted to bargain, but Goldman was prepared to kill the two girls, Sonic managed to prevail and Exegod knocked Goldman off the cliff, leaving her to drown. Corrupt showed up and started a fight with the two, resulting in Sonic and Exegod entering the monster's stomach. They came to a point where they would have to make a sacrifice to kill the beast, Exegod jumped into the put and Sonic and Sally followed suit, but the three were tricked by Corrupt and ending up being trapped inside of a giant pot. Corrupt started gloating and left the three to die, the three then shed a single tear before accepting their impending deaths as Corrupt began the enslavement of Mobius.
As the three shed a tear each, they all merged into one and hit the bottom of the pot, stopping the pot from heating. The three opened their eyes and Sonic and Sally turned super, and Exegod followed the two to Corrupt, where the Master Emerald soon appeared and turned Sonic and Sally hyper, and turning Exegod into his perfect form. The three then worked together and killed Corrupt, reversing his enslavement.
After saving Mobius, Exegod was offered to join the Freedom Fighters, but declined and decided to go on adventures of his own.
Personality[]
In Untold Origins, Exegod started off as a relatively sadistic trickster and torturer, he loved to torment Sonic with deadly traps, and attempted to kill him, holding a grudge against the hedgehog for ages until their second-to-last final confrontation.
In the mainstream .exe stories, Exegod has become way more unhinged, crazy, manipulative, deranged, temperamental, callous, intelligent, and borderline psychopathic. Exegod mercilessly mutilated and corrupted many innocent mobians into becoming his mindless subordinates, and took no remorse in his monstrous actions of endless and horrific slaughter. Exegod was also fueled by fear and took sadistic pride and pleasure of endlessly torturing his victims by corrupting the world around them and offing them off soon after. Exegod was also very arrogant, self-centered, and had a massive ego, he was constantly finding ways to exploit and bring down his victims' spirits and and always bragged and gloated over his victories whenever he was close to succeeding, his arrogance would ultimately prove to be his downfall.
Exegod was in every way a genius and mastermind, he was able to carefully select his victims, set up appropriate traps for them and was able to manipulate some of Sonic's closest friends. He was wicked, twisted, and undeniably cruel and demented in his ways of murdering and mutilating his victims instead of simply brainwashing them into serving him. Exegod's ego and narcissism was further fueled by the fact that he saw humans as below him, and only had one purpose to him; torture and kill after psychologically damaging them.
After his resurrection, Exegod was quickly subjected to multiple emotions, he quickly flew into a rage after remembering how he died, and subsequently broke down crying. He still retained some sadism as he laughed at Brian, a former attempted victim of his who ended up becoming an ally. Exegod was turned into a much more heroic, fearless, and brave character, even willing to sacrifice himself to kill Corrupt and save the world from a new age of evil.

Exegod is inspired by multiple different media. His name is derived from the character from the Jaiz Koys games, his origins are heavily inspired by the original Sonic.exe created by J.C. the Hyena (albeit with a different explanation of how he turned into a Sonic lookalike), his soon-to-be-impending-death along with Sonic and Sally was inspired by the scene from the SpongeBob Squarepants movie, some of his stories are inspired by other .exe games, and multiple parts of his dialogue is taken from other Sonic.exe stories, such as Sonic.exe: Darkest Struggles, the Nightmare series, and one line in particular is taken from Infinite of Sonic Forces. This version of Sonic.exe is also heavily inspired by NES Godzilla, as he killed the main protagonist's lover and had very similar dialogue.
Exegod is one of the only newer .exes to be redeemed.
BEC mentioned that Exegod may potentially get his Perfect form back in future stories, but simply said that fans will "have to wait and see" which ones they'll be.
