Explosive Gut-Seeking Cut Man, simply known as Cut Man is the main antagonist of the fanfic, Mega Man: The Brink of Extinction, based off of the video game series, Mega Man. He is the main antagonist of the ongoing Cut Man Saga.
He is a mixed Robot Master that fused with Guts Man and Bomb Man, the other two discontinued Robot Masters to destroy the world, as revenge on Dr. Wily for abandoning him and the other Robot Masters for many years. Cut Man would then destroy 97% of Mega Man's version of Earth, causing the deaths of Dr. Light and Roll (presumably Dr. Wily as well). He would then warp to the Sonic universe for unknown reasons to destroy the universe, as well as going to destroy other game universes. He is the true arch-enemy of Mega Man and Proto Man.

Personality[]
Although it is unknown what Cut Man was like before he became a mixed Robot Master, but it is possible that he had the same incompetent and comical traits like his original version did. It is heavily possible that Cut Man lost his traits as soon as he merged with his fellow Robot Masters, Guts Man and Bomb Man.
He would then become a destructive and psychopathic mixed Robot Master that would wipe out 97% of the population of Earth, including his creator, Dr. Light, as well as his sister, Roll, only leaving a few behind for unknown reasons, among those being Mega and Proto. He also has no sense of honor when fighting, such as when fighting Shadow, Cut Man mercilessly tries to crush him just to get a Chaos Emerald, which can show that he is petty at times.
Although he has a tragedy, this has yet to be explored, as there is no evidence yet. However, if he did have an actual Freudian Excuse, it is likely that the tragedy wouldn't hold up at all, due to the gaming multiverse having nothing to do with Cut Man's backstory.
Biography[]
Past[]
Cut Man was created in the 21st century by Dr. Light, alongside his "brothers", Guts Man, Ice Man, Bomb Man, Fire Man and Elec Man. Although unconfirmed, it is possible that Cut Man was made for land reclamation work, particularly deforestation. After his defeat at the hands of Mega Man twice in the events of the first game, it is possible that Dr. Wily abandoned/discontinued them, after seeing that they were no use to them. Cut Man would lose his consciousness for years.
Years later, Cut Man somehow managed to regain his consciousness alongside other abandoned Robot Masters and fused himself with Guts Man and Bomb Man to get revenge on humanity for abandoning him and the other Robot Masters as well. After fusing with the two Robot Masters, Cut Man turned into Explosive Gut-Seeking Cutman and caused a worldwide rampage that wiped out 97% of Earth's population, among those were Dr. Light and Roll. At some point after that, he managed to get to the Sonic universe, otherwise known as "Universe 91-06" for unknown reasons.
Cutman Saga[]
Cut Man arrives at Universe 91-06, unknowingly knocking a Flicky unconscious. Cut Man is frustrated that he cannot use his powers until 30 minutes has passed, possibly due to the effects of the portal. Cut Man then notices the unconscious Flicky and celebrates that he has indirectly knocked down one creature as soon as arriving. Cut Man would then come to the Death Egg to destroy the space station, causing Eggman to ask help from Sonic and Tails. Cut Man then looks for emeralds by destroying the Death Egg to look for one of the seven emeralds scattered around. During his search, Cut Man gets punched by Shadow and battles Shadow for the emerald, due to the hedgehog having one chaos emerald. Angered for not handing the emerald over, Cut Man uses Rolling Cutter to graze Shadow and throws a chunk of the Death Egg to crush Shadow using the Super Arm.
Sonic then asks who he is and Cut Man introduces himself as well as his origins. He then takes the green emerald from Shadow afterwards and likely goes to cause more destruction.
