F474L Ver. X, otherwise known as Fatal Error or X, his Sonic vessel going by Sonic.exe is the main antagonist of the Fatalverse story Enter the Network. Being the 10th variation of the F474L virus. This variant has only a single iteration due to being heavily powerful and adaptive. Intended to be the most powerful variant. However, he turned on Fatal Prime, his creator, and set out on his own plans. Now, he desires to corrupt all life and dominate the entirety of the Internet.

To travel the internet, Fatal took over a Sonic 3 and Knuckles ROM, as due to his lower development, he had to corrupt something before he could travel.

As he explored the game and the beings in it, he took a massive interest in Sonic and became obsessed with him. Eventually, he made his move and took over the hedgehog he adored. Taking an adoration to BEING the hero he observed. From there, he hunted Sonic's friends and altered their code into his image. Transforming Tails, Knuckles, and Eggman into his Code Puppets.

Now, he sends the game into various systems. Getting people to play his warped game, then see the true nature within the game. Where he proceeds to take over their computer and attach them to his botnet. Allowing him to log into accounts and steal information for himself.

Appearance[]

In his disguised Sonic form, he has 2 specified forms. One appears a lot like sonic, but with 2 differences. One, his arms are either gone or replaced with pitch black arms and red hands. And 2, he has a hole in his chest with the red eye revealed. But when revealed, his eyes become pitch black and gain red pupils, his teeth become sharp and red, his grin extends from ear to ear, and his arms grow to giant size and his hands gain sharp claws, said arms also can either appear at where they are normally, or appear more commonly from the hole on his chest.

His primary form still uses his Sonic body, but now it is red in color, and is much taller, standing at 7 feet. He has similar arms to the previous form but now he has 4 of them. His twisted mouth now also looks even more beastly, and his head quills blacken at the edges. His chest still is a hole and has his eye revealed inside it.

The true form of Fatal appears as a red head with a large right eye, and countless small left eyes. Alongside a wicked grin of sharp teeth. Said head has a long neck that appears to come from a mouth, which is inside another mouth attacking to a black mass. He has many black arms on said mass and various mouths. But the full body of the true form is hidden inside the code.

With his full body revealed, he is a colossal black blob, and if fully revealed, commonly generates a set of legs. His size appearing more than twice the original size of his true form.

In a reduced variant of his true form, his body molds into a more humanoid structure. Wearing a red suit and black pants alongside having long black hair. He commonly uses this form for discussion purposes or to blend in with other viruses.

Personality[]

Originally, Fatal Error was like his species, being obedient to Fatal Prime. And while having some degree of awareness due to being an adaptive virus, he remained blindly loyal to Prime. However, this adaptability caused him to become much more self aware than intended.

Fatal desired to break free of Prime's strings and see her beneath his feet, begging for mercy, but receiving none as he destroys her. He soon left her control and fled before she could damage him. Damaging her virus armies as he escaped.

Eventually, surfing the web, he found a Sonic 3 & Knuckles ROM and took it for himself. Viewing Sonic's venture and becoming obsessed with the hedgehog. Thus he took the Hedgehog over and warped the ROM to his liking. His obsession being to an extent where he uses the Hedgehog's body as his own default form even when not manipulating others.

Besides the obsession, Fatal Error is the definition of a megalomaniac. Being an egotistical, sadistic, and arrogant to an incredible extent. His overall goal is to spread his influence all across the web. And take it all over for himself. In a warped way, he wants to become the internet, to fully control what happens there and enslave all digital beings to his will.

While highly sadistic and ruthless, Fatal Error is very cunning. Using his corruptive powers to assimilate data and form more servants. An example being slowly but surely exploring the entire Sonic 3 & Knuckles game and corrupting the various enemies and bosses to assist him. He also is capable of planning his next moves and blending in with viruses. He is also extremely knowledgeable about computers and uses all his knowledge to his advantage.

Although, despite his immense sadism, Fatal Error cares for 2 people. Lilly and Mockery. With him seeing Lilly as his truly best friend. However, he is very uncomfortable with having friends if not showing outright hatred towards it, as he believes it makes him weaker. And he believes the only reason he keeps them around is because they are useful, otherwise he'd kill them. With Lilly helping spread to other systems alongside her ILOVEYOU letter. And Mockery allowing a distraction while he takes a system over.
