Ursula (Character What)

Ursula is a major villain from the Character What series, Ursula is also the main antagonist from Disney's The Little Mermaid.

Personality

Ursula is very vengeful, holding a grudge against King Triton for her banishment, spending most of her days spying on his daughters eventually taking advantage of them and formulate a plan capable of ending in her favour. Ursula is also power-hunger and megalomaniac in nature, which driven her motivation throughout the series, even reaching new lengths that involve flooding the entire Earth as a way to rule it.

Ursula was extremely arrogant to the point of underestimating her enemies. Noble example, is when she transform into a giant, and no longer consider neither Eric or Shadow Joe to be a threat due to her gigantic size and possessing the trident in her hands. This proven to be her undoing; by the time she realize she had underestimated both Eric and Shadow Joe, making herself a easy target for Shadow Joe strike various electric attacks on her, and for Eric to fatally impale her with a ship before she could react quickly.

Despite her wicked personality, Ursula does has some redeeming qualities, mostly her relationship between herself and her minions Flotsam and Jetsam. Ursula lovely refers the due as "babies" and treat them with affection, despite angerly barking orders at them from time to time. She clearly shows gratitude toward her eels, as demonstrated when they successfully prevent Ariel from kissing Prince Eric for the first time, she praises them for a job well done. She is very protective of the eels, as shown when she expresses deep remorse over destroying them with the trident by accident before focusing her anger toward Ariel for causing it in the place. In Addiction, Ursula can be quite friendly toward Shadow Joe and his friends when she feels like it. This is most noticeable in "Detective Joe", she politely answered Shadow Joe's questions about what she witness in the scene of the crime.

Like Discord, Ursula is extremely loyal to Shadow Aaron, mostly out of fear that Shadow Aaron would destroy her if she didn't agree to serve him. She always follows Shadow Aaron's orders without question and never refuses whatever he tells her to do. Nevertheless, Ursula truly hates Shadow Aaron due to his abusive treatment of her and the other villains, but she makes no attempt to betray him, knowing the consequences what Shadow Aaron would do to her if she had the courage to betray him. The only time Ursula refuse obey Shadow Aaron was in "Hospitality" when Shadow Aaron abandoned her along with Discord after they fall off his aircraft during a thunderstorm. Shortly afterward, Shadow Joe came rescue both Ursula and Discord and take them to his kingdom to treat their injuries. After Shadow Joe healed their injuries, he allow them to stay in his kingdom for the night and give them their own personal rooms and offering them food to make both Ursula and Discord feel more like at home. Ursula came to understand Shadow Joe's kindness and appreciated his hospitality. When Shadow Aaron break into the base and orders both Ursula and Discord attack Shadow Joe, but they refuse to do anything for Shadow Aaron, considering how grateful they are for everything Shadow Joe did for them after Shadow Aaron left them for dead, and they were rather die than turn back on everything Shadow Joe had do for them. Despite this, Ursula still continue her villainy and was back into working with Shadow Aaron and being enemies with Shadow Joe once again.

Backgrounds

After Shadow Aaron's defeat by Shadow Joe, Ursula was summon along with other villains by Shadow Aaron to warn them about Shadow Joe is the upcoming threat to all evil.

After Shadow Aaron's second defeat, Shadow Aaron revived Ursula since he kill her.

Character What: The Adventures

In The Little Mermaid, Ursula reprise her role from her respective film, with Shadow Aaron warming about Shadow Joe could stop her, Shadow Aaron bargains with Ursula that if she swore her loyal to him and in return will help with her plans to a extent. Like in the film, Ursula watches over Ariel believing that she could be the key King Trigon while Shadow Aaron remind Ursula about the reasons from banished her Atlantica by King Trigon in the first place. Later, Ursula and Shadow Aaron was watching Ariel observing a human named Eric who was also a Prince. Shadow Aaron disappear and went into the sky and cause a thunderstorm. Ursula witnessing Ariel saving Eric from drowning and realize that she right about Ariel falling in love with Prince Eric and defy Trigon's rules. After Trigon destroyed most of Ariel's collection of human items, Ursula commands her pet eels named Flotsam and Jetsam to bring Ariel to her lair. When Ariel arrive to Ursula's grotto, she claims that she can help make the princess's dreams of living on the surface come to true. Ursula sings "Poor Unfortunate Souls" to manipulate Ariel to a agreement of transforming the princess into a human for three days. If Ariel give Eric "the kiss of true love" the transformation into a human will become permanent, but if she fails to do so, she will turn back into mermaid and will be bound to Ursula forever. Ariel accepts the deal but the condition is to give her beautiful voice to Ursula, which Ariel reluctant did. True to her word, Ursula turns Ariel into a human while laughing gleefully as her plans begin to unfold. Shadow Joe take Ariel to the surface as she could no longer breathe underwater while Ursula made no attempt to stop him. Ursula send Flotsam and Jetsam to keep a close watch on Ariel to make sure she does not kiss Eric, such as the two eels tip the over boat in which Ariel and Eric were sitting when they almost kiss ease other. Ursula realize that Ariel may have a chance of accomplishing her goal, Ursula decides to matters into her own tentacles. She use her magic potions to transform herself into female human form to sabotage Ariel's relationship with Eric. In her female human disguise, Ursula use Ariel's voice to put Eric into a zombie-like state to marry her. However, Ariel and her friends manages to crash the wedding and destroyed the Nautilus shell, which returns Ariel's voice back to her, but the sunsets and Ariel turns back into a mermaid and Ursula returns to her natural form, kidnapping Ariel and became confront by King Trigon who was easier by Sebastian about Ursula's plans. Trigon use his trident to shoot a energy beam at her, but Ursula use the contract to shield herself, explains that is "legal", "binding", and completely unbreakable". Ursula then forces Triton to choose between his freedom or his daughter's, Triton not wanting to lose her daughter again, choose to take his daughter's place so Ariel will be saved, and transform him into a Polyp. Ursula take the crown and the trident and laughs evilly for finally accomplishes her goal to become the ruler of the entire ocean, Ariel angerly attacks the sea witch for her villainy, but Ursula throws her toward a rock and threaten to kill her with the magic of trident. Before she could, Prince Eric throw a harpoon at Ursula's right arm. Ursula then orders Flotsam and Jetsam grabs Eric's legs while dragging him down to the sea. Ursula prepares to vaporize him, but only for Ariel to grab hold of her hair, causing her to vaporize Flotsam and Jetsam instead. A remorseful Ursula mourns the loss of her beloved eels before becoming enraged and grows into a massive size to enact revenge on Ariel for causing her to accidentally kill her eels. When she reaches the surface in her new form, Ursula declares herself as the ruler of the entire ocean and use her new powers to being thunderstorms, rain and strong tidal waves. She then create a whirlpool to trapped Ariel at the bottom of it and attempts to kill her by shooting energy bolts at her, but Ariel manages to dodge the aims twice. Just as she wickedly taunts the idea of "true love" and last attempt to destroy Ariel, Shadow Joe start a battle with Ursula in her giant form, Eric impales Ursula by plunging the ship's splintered bow through her belly, Shadow Joe than strike lightning at her and the shock kills her (similar fate from the film).

In Shadow Aaron's Revenge: Part 2, Ursula appears in a flashback when Shadow Aaron can to her grotto to see her.

In The Little Mermaid II, Ursula make a cameo on poster (like in the film), She is also mentioned a few times.

Character What: Revenge of Evil

Ursula was first seen in her grotto, grooming herself, before being transported out of her lair. Ursula appears in a intergalactic spaceship and recognize several villains, such as HIM and Rasputin. Shadow Aaron revealed himself to be the one who is responsible for summoning them, Ursula and the other villains are shocked to him, as they hasn't seen him since he was defeated by Twilight Sparkle. Shadow Aaron explains his reasons of summoning them as part of his plans to destroy Shadow Joe and dominate the multiverse, but Ursula refuse to join him. However, after watching Shadow Aaron vaporizing Time Baby, Ursula and the other villains nervously agree to serve him.

Character What: Hero Force

In Destroy Shadow Joe, Shadow Aaron send Ursula along with many other villains to destroy Shadow Joe. Ursula team up with Discord and Gaston, but they lost the fight with Shadow Joe, Later Ursula along with the other villains were lost in a labyrinth that Shadow Joe created. When she found Shadow Joe in the labyrinth, Shadow Joe imprison Ursula in a giant bubble.

Ursula makes a cameo in The Return of the Dazzlings.

In Return for Revenge, Ursula join forces with Shadow Aaron and the other villains to seek revenge on Shadow Joe

In The Octonauts and the Villains, Ursula was one of the few aquatic or water-based villains who were with Shadow Aaron to help take over the Octopot. Once they took possession of the Octopot, Ursula made Professor Inkling's room as her own. When Shadow Joe and his team help the Octonauts get their Octopot back, Ursula assists Shadow Aaron in the fight against Shadow Joe and his gang. After she was defeated along with the other villains, they retreated while swimming through the ocean.

In Villain Meeting, Ursula was sitting next to Discord at Shadow Aaron's Villain Meeting, Ursula and the other villains Rainbow Dash when Shadow Aaron order them to.

Ursula appears in the during song "Being a Villain" singing with the other villains.

In Hero Fail, Ursula was with the villains who were helping Shadow Aaron to defeat Shadow Joe.

In Villainess Talk, Ursula was with Cruella De Vil and Maleficent at Sunset Shimmer's Villainess Meeting.

Character What: New Hope

In Rescue Rangers to the Rescue, Ursula was among the villains that Shadow Aaron send out to destroy Chip, Dale, Monty, Zipper and Gadget Hackwrench when the Rescue Rangers were discovered for seeking inside Shadow Aaron's base to rescue Webby Vanderquack who was kidnapped by Shadow Aaron. However, Shadow Joe arrives to help the Rescue Rangers fight the villains and save Webby, Ursula was defeated when Shadow Joe ties her up with bandages (created by Shadow Joe's magic).

In Lost Hope, Ursula was with Shadow Aaron, Discord and Bill Cipher watching Shadow Joe with his new friend Webby Vanderquack, while Shadow Aaron was frustrated that things did not work out how he planned, since making Shadow Joe's life miserable has been foiled due to Webby making him happy and being his friend. When Shadow Aaron discovered that Shadow Joe is keeping his friendship a secret to both Twilight Sparkle and Dawn after the two approaches him and Webby, and quickly escape with Webby to avoid suspicion from Twilight and Dawn. He instruct her along Discord to bring Twilight and Dawn straight to Shadow Joe and Webby so that they will learn the truth that he has a new friend and would accuse him for replacing them for the way they abandoned for breaking to promise to support Dawn during the finals to win the golden cup. Ursula agree to plan while Discord was reluctant. Meanwhile, Shadow Aaron and Bill Cipher perceive with their part of plan to attack Shadow Joe with Webby to distract him long enough for Discord and Ursula to bring and Twilight Sparkle and Dawn to them. Ursula and Discord found Twilight and Dawn at a coffee shop, so Discord gets their attention by making taunting them for unreasonable with Shadow Joe (but Discord was actually trying to make Twilight Sparkle and Dawn realize their mistake of ending their friendship with Shadow Joe), prompting both Twilight and Dawn to chase them without realizing that they are leading straight to where Shadow Joe was fighting Shadow Aaron and Bill Cipher with Webby watches. When Shadow Aaron noticed Discord and Ursula and also heard Twilight and Dawn coming, he transported himself along with Bill Cipher, Discord and Ursula out of the fight.

After Shadow Aaron finally kidnaps Webby and planned to kill her so she would not interfere with his plans to make Shadow Joe's life a miserable. Ursula along with Bill Cipher, Discord and General Grievous watches as Shadow Aaron begun to use the Scream Extractor on Webby. However, Shadow Joe intervenes before the Scream Extractor gets into her mouth, tears the machine away from Webby, and throw it at Ursula, Discord and General Grievous but Shadow Aaron, Bill Cipher and Sunset Shimmer managed to dodge the device.

In Memories, In a café set in a flashback, Ursula was sitting at a table with Tolietnator, Trixie Lulamoon and Carnage watching Sugar Sprinkles walk by them while she was playing her guitar and singing a song.

Character What: Ultimate Hero

In Villainous Danger, Ursula along Discord accomplish Shadow Aaron with his usual plans to destroy Shadow Joe. When Shadow Joe was decapitated by Shadow Aaron, but was still alive since he is immortal, and Ursula and Discord fought against the headless Shadow Joe until they manages to restrain him. Ursula used one of her tentacles to grab his right arm while Discord use his tail to grab Shadow Joe's left arm to keep him in place so Shadow Aaron shoot at lightning blast at him, through both Ursula and Discord got electrocuted as well. However, Superman to the rescue to stop the villains, Superman defeated Shadow Aaron by using one of the green Shadow Creature crystal to weaken him and send him into the sea, before doing the same thing to both Ursula and Discord. After the villains were defeated, Shadow Joe wake up and reform a new head.

In Villains Pals, Rainbow Dash free HIM along Pete, Captain Hook, Cruella de Vil, Ursula, HIM, Discord and accidentally the Toiletnator from their prison cells. Rainbow Dash blackmails the villains that if they don't what he wants to them to do, she will used the invisible shock collars on their necks to electrode them painfully. Rainbow Dash's plans for the villains was to find a lost amulet that Daring Do failed to recover. When the villains success, Rainbow Dash foolishly revealed that she was joking about the invisible shock collars on their necks from the beginning, just to help her retrieve the lost artifact, leaving the villains frustrated for tricking them and plan to harm her. However, Ben Tennyson transform Way Big and grab the villains in his hands (except Tolietnator who was beaten by Twilight Sparkle and his friends).

In Breakfast Time, Ursula was one of the few villains fighting over the Rainbow Munchies cereal.

In Watch the Piplings, Ursula was with the other villains at Pete's "We Hate Shadow Joe Barbecue".

In Villain Theme, Ursula was part of Shadow Aaron's team, She was seen during the villain version of Dark Horse, She also had a singing role in the song.

In Ursula's Return, Ursula seek revenge on Yojojo who was the Pipling who kill Shadow Aaron, Ursula disguise herself as Vanessa to get Yojojo close to her and fall in her trap.

Character What: Villains' Revenge

Ursula reappears in The Return: Part 1, Frollo brought Ursula along Cruella De Vil, Freddy Krueger, HIM and Discord to Shadow Aaron, Shadow Aaron then tell them that his plan was to send them to destroy Shadow Joe.

In The Return: Part 2, Ursula along with the other villains join forces with Shadow Aaron to launch attack on on the base.

In Darkness Nightmare, Ursula appears in the Piplings' dream.

In Take Them Down, Ursula was among the villains participating in Shadow Aaron's plan to ambush Shadow Joe and captured the Piplings, so Shadow Aaron destroy them as revenge for his demise in The End of Shadow Aaron. When Scar and General Woundwort captured Rainbow Dash and brought her to Shadow Aaron, Ursula touches Rainbow's chin.

In Watch Out for the Gorg, Ursula appears on one of Twilight Sparkle's pictures of the villains she was examining of their origins.

In Shadow Aaron's Rate, Ursula joins forces with Shadow Aaron and some other villains to track down and capture Twilight Sparkle, but they couldn't find her anywhere in Ponyville.

Powers and Abilities

• Magic Potions: Ursula is potentially skillful of making magic potions with various spells.
  • Metamorphosis:
• Contract Bestowal: Ursula can conjure a magic contract as a way to bargain with her victims by signing it. If they failed to fulfil their part of the bargain, she will immedicably turn them into polyps. The contract is also indestructible as not even the power of the trident or Shadow Joe could destroy it.
• Animal Scrying: Ursula can see through the eyes of her eels, Flotsam and Jetsam.
• Voice Thievery: Ursula can steal a person's voice using her shell necklace and use their voice for her own.
• Size Alternation: Ursula can grow into enormous size, though this is mostly with the power of the trident.
• Polyps Transformation: Ursula has the ability to transform Merfolk or other creatures into Polyps.
• Underwater Breathing: Being a Cecaelia, Ursula can breath underwater, as she is able to metabolize the oxygen from the water. However, she is more than capable of breathing on land.
• Speed Swimming: As a Cecaelia, Ursula is capable of swimming much father than a avenge human, even much more faster then Ariel in terms of underwater travel.
• Prehensile Tentacles: Ursula can use her tentacles to grab or hold objects.
