The Flesh Golem, referred to as Subject-125 in the Tenebris Archive documentation, is a minor antagonist in the Great Dawnfall universe and the main antagonist in Great Dawnfall: Singularity.

It's a monstrous and terrifying anomalous creature with a distorted, grotesque appearance. The monster has a combination of human and mutant traits, including multiple limbs, untethered organs, and an ever-changing, pulsating interface. The true origins of the creature are obscured.

Description[]

Subject 125, commonly known as the “Flesh Golem” is a giant bizarre and monstrous humanoid creature composed of an amalgamation of human and non-human body parts, body fragments and fleshy matter. In its current form, it stands about 10 feet tall, its body covered in bare muscle tissue and gooey, rodent-like pieces of flesh, constantly oozing blood and a black, corrosive goo. Its legs are a combination of various limbs from its victims, and several arms and hands extend irregularly from its body. Some of its arms are undeveloped, while others are fully functional, often evolving into bony blade projections that it uses to attack and kill.

The creature's head is distorted and almost completely covered with "eyes" and sensory-like dodders. It also appears to have a mouth, with tiny bloody teeth arranged irregularly. Its lower jaw can be opened in two, allowing it to bite, attack and scream in a human-like manner. The Flesh Golem's movements, while somewhat sluggish, are raw and unpredictable, and it is a powerful, massive creature capable of fast and brutal attacks.

Origin[]

Its origin is obscure, but some hypotheses suggest that during the events of the Three Days of Darkness in 2030, when the Demons of Hell invaded the entire planet Earth and civilization collapsed, a military or scientific experiment in a secret underground facility in Alaska - a “biological weapon” genetically modified or concocted from dead humans and mutants that was unleashed during a containment breach event.

Trivia[]

  • The creature is able to assimilate in Great Dawnfall: Singularity, having incorporated a total of 62 human into its mass. Each human and mutant it absorbed took on the knowledge, memories and physical attributes of the mutant, enhancing its own intelligence.
  • The Flesh Golem is inspired by Zygote by Oats Studio, The Thing by John Carpenter, The Evil Within's Amalgam Alpha and Trepang 2's Golem.
