NOTE: For the sake of the character, only his antagonistic roles will be presented in this article. If you had to betray one person to save a thousand... would you?
~ Fluixon's question posed to ish, foreshadowing his framing of saparata - his most famous quote.
I respect our leader's goal, but... he's dead wrong. We shouldn't be trying to befriend our enemies. The way we're going to achieve world peace is by uniting Island 2 against Island 1.
~ Flux expressing his disapproval of 3BelowZero's plan to build a bridge to Island 1.
Guys. Guys! Island 1 is uniting. They have hundreds of people all aligned in the same goal: to kill us! And take our resources. If they decide to attack any single one of our nations, it'll be easy! All they'll need to do is walk ahead. Which is why we either need to merge all of our nations right now—we all choose a spot and combine into one civilization—either that, or we attack Island 1 first.
~ Flux proposing to unite Island 2 against Island 1 and prepare for war.

Fluixon, also known as simply Flux, is a major antagonist in the Minecraft social experiment web series ish's State, serving as a minor character in Seasons 1.5-2 and one of the two main antagonists (alongside cynikka) of Season 2.5.

He is a player who took part in The Island Experiment and would maintain minor roles in the subsequent events before rising to prominence in the The Rich & Poor Experiment as the paranoid vice president of Luminara seeking to unite Island 2 against the impoverished population of Island 1 and go to war with them.

After failing to convince the other leaders of Island 2 to bring the fight to Island 1 and being being stripped of his position for his extremist beliefs, he took matters into his own hands and formed the Conspiracy from a small group of disgruntled followers to pursue his vision of a united Island 2, orchestrating several key events to get rid of the Island 2 leaders who opposed him. He is also the best friend-turned-arch-nemesis of saparata.

He was portrayed by the Minecraft player of the same name.

Appearance[]

Fluixon is a light-skinned human male with vibrant purple eyes and black hair. For attire Flux wears a long epaulette coated in a deep purple with gold linings and shoulder pads. Underneath he wears a buttoned up, cuffed purple shirt, dark gray trousers and black shoes with purple linings. On his right hand, he wears a white glove.

Prior to his reappearance in Season 2.5, Flux's skin in previous seasons was that of a black humanoid with large purple markings across his body and purple eyes. He wore a dark gray cloak with golden-yellow linings and red sleeves.

Personality[]

Look, no matter what people say, Island 1 was planning to invade us. They would have just walked right ahead. But now that we have stronger leaders, more cautious leaders, they're not gonna do that. We have world peace. And not because of a bridge, but because of me.
~ Flux arrogantly taking credit for uniting Islands 1 and 2.

At the beginning of the event, Fluixon started off as a very unassuming, friendly and normal player who's main priority was helping his allies build up their civilization and keeping his people safe. As the vice president of Luminara, he presumably used his position for well-intentioned reasons and helped both stabilise the community and bring everyone together. Witty, charming and dedicated to Luminara's cause, Flux appeared as the ideal second-in-command and held a stellar reputation amongst not only Luminara, but the whole of Island 2.

When Island 1 began spreading propaganda about Island 2 out of jealousy towards their superior resources, Flux allowed his true colors to show as he quickly became consumed by paranoia over the prospect of Island 1 attacking Island 2, killing everyone and stealing their resources. Flux was fanatically opposed to sending aid to Island 1 despite the harsh conditions and was happy to risk the entire island potentially starving to death without the necessary food and resources they needed to stay alive all so that Island 2 did not get invaded, showcasing how ruthless and cruel he was willing to let himself become. While he wore a mask of faux stability and rationality, Flux was incredibly paranoid, arrogant, cunning and deceptive to everyone around him.

Flux's paranoia ran so deep that he appeared to consider the very idea of global stability and world peace an unrealistic pipe dream that was doomed to fail from the start, something he would be sorely proven wrong on after the two islands began interactions. Despite claiming to respect 3BelowZero's goals of uniting the two islands together with a bridge that allowed for easily accessible crossing over, he maintained that he was in the right for his beliefs and implied that 3BelowZero and the other Island 2 leaders were foolish for even considering the prospect of world peace. In all his debates, he proved time and time again to be stubborn, prideful, full of himself and lacking even the most basic consideration for other peoples' opinions outside of the echochamber he built from his loyal followers that kissed the ground he walked on. When he realized he was at risk of being exposed for his crimes, Flux momentarily went into a fit of intense paranoia and fear before quickly masking it through calm professionalism.

Although he claimed to be doing everything he did for the betterment of his people, the advancement of Luminara and the protection of Island 2, Fluixon was primarily fuelled by his insistently egotistical need to be the hero in his own delusion. When he dropped his mask and revealed his true self, Fluixon displayed how much of a pathetic, arrogant narcissist he really was. To Flux, his worldview is the only one that matters and everyone else is wrong, and that is the way things are. He recklessly disregarded the opinions of his fellow leaders multiple times and even went against 3BelowZero's wishes to agree to a peaceful resolution in the matter of dealing with Island 1. Even after being proven wrong with Island 1 not attacking Island 2 after the borders opened, he continued to insist he was right and that he was the hero who brought everyone together under his world peace, despite the fact that his plans had disastrous consequences for Island 2 as most of the island was left paranoid, without cohesion due to the tragic loss of their leaders and wrongfully resentful towards saparata after he was framed, cementing him as a soulless hypocrite. When confronted by ish over his plans, Flux kept insisting that he had no choice but to go through with assassinating the various leaders, as if he was pulling a massive heroic sacrifice to save the island, which he whole-heartedly believed he was doing and admitted he would save the island by using any means necessary.

Even though Flux was already fairly arrogant and vain before the massacre of the Island 2 leaders, after his plans went off without a hitch and he got away with everything, Flux's ego skyrocketed to astronomical levels, becoming increasingly overconfident, egotistical and narcissistic. Because he had managed to get way with his crimes scot-free and had successfully driven saps into isolation after framing him and turning the entire world against him, Flux saw himself as untouchable and was content with living out the rest of his days as a regular Luminaran without a care in the world for the damage caused by his actions, not even bothering to kill CallMeCass because he did not view her as a substantial threat to his operation, showing how little he viewed her. Even in the end, his egotism was on full display as despite still carrying care for saps, he fully expected to be able to kill saps in their final confrontation and walk away scot-free as he had done several times before. Additionally, he used the unity between the two islands to selfishly increase his personal wealth despite not doing anything of substance to earn it. From the beginning of his plans going into motion, it was clear that Flux not only thought very highly of himself, but had an extremely pompous, elitist mindset that he and the rest of the wealthy denizens of Island 2 were better than Island 1 and that the latter island were simply jealous of them for having superior resources, considering them as being beneath him.

In addition to how self-absorbed and full of himself he was, Flux also engaged in several needlessly petty acts just to screw people over and step on them to reach the top. When he nearly had a panic attack over potentially being exposed, Flux calmed himself down by immediately gunning for Luminara's leadership and blackmailing LegacyAN by threatening to kill him and expose his relations with the Covenant. Furthermore, his killing of 3BelowZero was entirely motivated by petty spite over being demoted from his position, which was entirely his own fault for knowingly going against 3BelowZero's wishes.

A highly calculating, perceptive and quick-thinking individual, Flux's greatest weapon was by far his intellect. Compared to the rest of the server, Flux prepared backup plans for his backup plans and installed dozens of failsafe's in case any part of his plans fell through. It was implied that Flux knew him being caught was a very real possibility as much as his ego did not allow him to admit it, so he installed a floor trap inside a mineshaft he could run into and have one of his followers activate from inside the stone walls, which worked in buying him enough time to escape Cass and the rest of the Cass Coalition pursuing him. Even though he detested being demoted and viewed it as a personal insult, he was smart enough to use his newfound regular citizenship to fly under the radar despite having a clear motive for the Island 2 assassinations, as no one thought to suspect him until video footage surfaced of him gathering materials to work on the build that would conceal the trap he set for the rigged meeting. Unfortunately, his narcissism and pride in his intellect proved to be is downfall, for as much as he planned, Flux neglected the very real possibility that someone may have witnessed him gathering sand to build the meeting hub, with it starting the domino effect that led to his eventual exposure as he knew there was no way to explain it.

Flux was also a skilled manipulator who could easily mask himself to appear charming and approachable when in truth, he remained acutely aware of how many people had had under his thumb at a given time, primarily achieving this by placing a bounty on saps' head so people would view him as just a man seeking justice in the form of apprehending a dangerous criminal, as well as using intel that made him aware of saps' affiliation with the Covenant and subsequently enabled him to blackmail Legacy into dropping out of the Luminaran election so he could assume the position. In the days following 3BelowZero's death and his ascension to president of Luminara, he used his former leader's death to emotionally manipulate the population of Luminara into continuing to build the bridge purely to boost his public image and make himself appear more favorable so that any attempts made to arrest him would be met with heavy pushback and resistance from his citizens. Flux's deceptive prowess came so naturally to him that he would even put his own wellbeing on the line to avoid getting captured, ordering one of his loyal followers to attack him as he was being arrested so he could have a valid reason for running away and fleeing to the safety of his home in Luminara. It is also implied that he viewed Infernus as a viable way out of getting arrested and using it as a place of refuge if he were to be caught, as during the global island meeting regarding Infernus' crimes, Flux uncharacteristically suggested they receive a fair trial, implying he was viewing it as a potential safe haven in case he were ever exposed and using it to manipulate the rest of the attendees, playing into their desire for fair and balanced justice, regardless of who it was against.

Flux also displays many traits of a classic psychopath. He is superficially charismatic and able to easily switch between his true self of an immature, argumentative egotist and that of his mask of calm collectiveness, is a pathological liar who treats manipulates everyone around him for his benefit, has an inflated view of himself as a savior-like figure to the rest of the world and above all else, showcases a near-complete lack of remorse empathy for anyone but himself. Even saps, the only person Flux had a genuine connection to, was not immune to being used as a tool to further his goals and the fact that he resorted to mass murder in response to being disagreed with just went to show how truly unstable, unhinged and utterly deranged he was.

At his core, Flux was a petulant, entitled, pathetic and bad tempered narcissist who flew into emotionally-driven rages when things did not go his way, often exclaiming that any time he was being wronged was an outrage against not only himself, but also Luminara as a whole. Considering his main motivation for killing the Island 2 leaders outside of his personal pride and need to paint himself as the hero was because they rejected his idea to militarize and attack Island 1, his mass killing of them could easily be viewed as essentially a big, murderous temper tantrum for not getting his way. In the end, Flux was a man who could not fathom the idea of being in the wrong and threw hissy fits when not receiving constant praise.

Owing to how he could shamelessly manipulate even his own supporters, Flux showed no real care for anyone other than himself. His apathy for the denizens of Island 1 was so ingrained in him that it bordered on sociopathic behavior, as he genuinely saw no issue in refusing to send aid to Island 1 and potentially letting them all starve to death or die from the harsh conditions. Even those on his own island were not immune to his apathy and selfishness. While he may have started off with some form of compassion for his citizens, by the end of the event, he came to see them as little more than pawns to be manipulated to suit his agenda, using 3BelowZero's death that he organised to motivate Luminara into completing the bridge purely to uphold his public image as their president. At every turn, Flux was arrogant, condescending and even outright hostile to the other Island 2 leaders simply because they did not agree with him and he felt no guilt in having them all ruthlessly killed. Even his own supporters were treated as simply tools to aid him in his goals rather than valued teammates or even friends. Additionally, his partnership with cynikka to seek refuge was purely pragmatic as he only went to them because of their large numbers and strong equipment, and when his life was on the line, he fled the battle and left countless Infernus members to die at the hands of the Tricolor-Westhelm Alliance. Even his only friendship in saps was uprooted by Flux in order to create a useful scapegoat for his crimes, showing that even if he cared for saps, he has no issue throwing him under the bus and pinning everything on him in order to get away with his crimes free of consequences, as well as having the nerve to blame saps for everything in their final fight because he did not die according to Flux's plans, showing that he was incapable of taking any responsibility.

Despite positioning his beliefs as being for the greater good by uniting Island 2 against Island 1, Flux's paranoia drove his actions and he continuously made his declarations about uniting Island 2 about himself and how he was the only one with a clear vision for the future. Even after murdering many Island 2 leaders and having the bridge completed to increase his public support, he shamefully took all the credit for the unity between the two islands even though his entire plan was about how Island 1 were dangerous, had upended several Island 2 leaderships and caused saps to be framed for his crimes, showing that his philosophy was staunchly built on him being right. Ultimately, Flux's worldview was flawed from the start and evidently not about the safety of the people on Island 2. After spending the entire event preaching the dangers of Island 1, when Flux became a fugitive of the law for his conspiracy being unravelled, he took refuge in Infernus and agreed to plant traps around their base to kill the Tricolor-Westhelm Alliance when they inevitably attacked. Combing that with how he eventually became fully aware that only a minority of players were creating anti-Island 2 propaganda and that they were never going to invade, he still doubled down on all his actions being for the greater good and never showed remorse, proving that his philosophy was nothing more than a sham he built his image off of to paint himself as the hero and bask in his delusions.

However, despite the atrocities he committed in the name of his ego and the emotional pain he put on saps by framing him for his crimes and making him the entire world's scapegoat, deep down, Flux truly did care about saps as his only friend and only used him as the scapegoat for his crimes because it was convenient, originally not wanting to involve him at all. The only reason Flux put a bounty on saps' head was because he was the last loose end to tie up and not out of any personal grudge against him. Flux was content to escape scot-free with his actions until saps called him back for a fair fight, which Flux admitted to accepting because he simply could not turn down his friend. Just before their final fight, Flux—with complete sincerity—apologised to saps for everything he had put him through, even though he knew the fight would cost either of them their lives.

On Day 1, Fluixon was lucky enough to spawn on Island 2; a lush, prosperous archipelago filled with high levels of valuable minerals, trees and food. As he traversed the island, Flux soon got to collecting resources and would eventually meet a player called saparata, quickly forming a strong friendship with him. At some point during the day, Flux would join a slowly developing nation led by 3BelowZero, becoming his second-in-command.

On Day 2, Flux joined 3BelowZero and the rest of his crew in leading their community towards a new destination to build up their civilization, traveling across the island in boats. Along the way, the migrants would sail past the Cass Coalition, who briefly mistook them for potential invaders until the migrants declared their intentions and struck up a diplomatic relationship with the Cass Coalition before sailing on their way up the north side of the archipelago. Either before or after settling up north, Flux traveled to the southern island where he met back up with saps, who had taken up refuge on a small island next to the main southern island where he had been constructing a vacation home, not desiring to get involved in Island 2's politics.

By the end of Day 2, the civilization Flux was a part of officially named itself "Luminara" after creating their settlement, with Flux being designated the nation's vice president directly under 3BelowZero. However, Flux later learned that 3BelowZero had deliberately chosen their place of residence as it directly bordered the ocean to Island 1, the poorer, more impoverished and harsh of the two islands. 3BelowZero wanted to use Luminara's close proximity to Island 1 so that when the borders inevitably dropped, Luminara could build a massive bridge connecting the two islands as a sign of good faith and to hopefully bring about world peace. Unfortunately, Flux was staunchly against the idea, having become paranoid over Island 1 potentially attacking Island 2 by crossing the bridge 3BelowZero planned to build as he had gotten word of some groups on Island 1 making anti-Island 2 propaganda posters, believing that if the two islands connected, it would result in an invasion. After having cultivated a small group of followers that shared his paranoid sentiments, Flux came to the conclusion that the best way forward would be to unite Island 2 into attacking Island 1 before the latter could invade them first.

On Day 3, the knowledge that Island 1 was becoming more united had reached Island 2 and gotten more of its population paranoid. As a result, Jophiel_, the monarch of the nation of Tricolor, called a meeting between all Island 2 leaders that would be hosted by saps as a neutral mediator. 3BelowZero was too busy developing the Luminara Bridge an so sent Flux as an ambassador on behalf of Luminara, with Flux hoping to convince the other leaders to unite against Island 1.

After all the leaders of Island 2 met at the table, AlkalineAlke—the president of the nation Aperion—proposed that the entirety of Island 2 join a defense pact so that if Island 1 were to invade one of their nations, it would be considered an attack on Island 2 as a whole and Island 2 would have reasonable grounds to defend themselves. While Flux agreed that it was a good start, he voiced his opinion that if one nation were attacked, by the time everyone else had geared up to defend them, the nation would already be wiped out. Although Jophiel reiterated the focus on preventing an attack, Flux opined that it was inevitable before being shushed. As Jophiel continued, she voiced her opinion that it would be better to make good relations with Island 1 by sending them aid and not treating them like enemies, to which CallMeCass—leader of the Cass Coalition—supported, as well as suggesting to merge Jophiel's idea with the defense pact.

Although it seemed like the ideal scenario to everyone else, Flux—fed up with not being taken seriously—called the idea ridiculous and claimed that Island 1 was jealous of Island 2 due to the latter island's luxurious resources and vibrant landscape, sourcing the propaganda posters made by several players as reason to be cautious and dismissing the idea of sending aid to them, claiming that any resources given to Island 1 would be used against Island 2. Although SitzKrieg0—one of the leaders of the Commonwealth, considered the point, Alkaline protested against Flux's harsh labeling of Island 1, only to be called naïve in return. Continuing his rant, Flux claimed that Island 1 was uniting en-masse to invade Island 2 and take their resources, criticizing 3BelowZero's idea to build a bridge connecting the islands and giving the leaders an ultimatum: either merge into one strong, united civilization or plan an attack on Island 1 first Immediately, Flux was met with scathing criticism from everyone and when Jophiel called his idea crazy, he threw her words back in her face by claiming she was going to lead everyone on Island 2 to their deaths.

As tensions rose, saps called for everyone to pipe down and chose to settle the matter with a simple vote, calling for everyone in Flux's favor to attack Island 1 respond. Flux committed to his idea, but in the end no one came to his defense, opting to go with Jophiel's idea of creating the defense pact and sending aid to Island 1 once the borders dropped as Flux fumed silently and the meeting came to a close. When Flux returned to Luminara and told 3BelowZero of what had happened, 3BelowZero was furious at Flux for going against Luminara's values and causing a scene at the meeting, as 3BelowZero was heavily in favor of the idea of sending aid to Island 1. To punish him for his insubordination and not trusting Flux in his current position for his extremist views, 3BelowZero officially demoted Flux from his position as vice president and he became a regular citizen, with his reputation within the Luminaran community taking a massive hit as a result.

On Day 4, Seraphim_Here—the second-in-command of Tricolor—contacted Flux as she agreed with his beliefs of Island 1 gearing up to invade Island 2. Taking advantage of the situation and still bitter from Jophiel leading the other leaders against his paranoid beliefs, Flux coordinated a plan with Seraphim to have her kill Jophiel in retaliation. Still upset with his demotion, Flux left Luminara for the day and met up with his small group of followers, constructing a secret underground base below the ocean so they could use it to hide in case Island 1 were to attack. After the base was complete, Flux spent the rest of the day collecting sand to help his friends saps with finishing his vacation home. Unbeknownst to saps, Flux and his followers had created a redstone trap below the roof and covered by the building's ceiling. Angry at the other Island 2 leaders for disagreeing with him and having decided the current leadership on Island 2 had to go, Flux and his followers designed a trap to drop dripstone stalactites from above the seats the leaders would sit on to kill them, intending on using it for when a meeting would inevitably be called after Jophiel's murder and the Island 2 leaders would once again go to saps as a neutral mediator.

Near the end of the day, Flux's plan went into motion as he ordered Seraphim to carry out the assassination on Jophiel after she lured her into the woods and killed her, leaving her head behind to be found by Tricolor citizens. The death of Jophiel shook the island, causing it to go on lockdown as Seraphim instantly became the most wanted person on the island and Tricolor fell into disarray. After some time passed, Flux met with saps and recommended he schedule an emergency meeting with the other Island 2 leaders the next day to deal with the fallout, successfully convincing him to host the meeting at his vacation house and turn it into a meeting hall. At the end of the day, Flux allowed Seraphim to seek refuge in his underground bunker housed by his followers.

On Day 5, Island 2 continued processing the death of Jophiel and saps eventually called all the Island 2 leaders to coordinate a plan for what to do about Seraphim and for when the borders dropped. Because of the chaos he caused at the last meeting, Flux was banned from attending the meeting on saps' island as 3BelowZero went instead, with Flux choosing to hide out in his bunker. Before the meeting started, Flux called ish—the server owner hosting the event— to come to his underground bunker where divulged everything to him, including his plan for saps that he admittedly felt bad for. As it turned out, Flux's ultimate plan was to pin the blame on saps for the upcoming massacre as he was hosting the meeting and his building was the one that had been boobytrapped.

As the leaders discussed inside the Meeting Hall, Seraphim arrived on the island on Flux's orders and landed on the roof of the building undetected. After digging into the roof and waiting patiently for the right moment to strike, Seraphim activated the trap just as saps suggested that Jophiel's death may have been the result of a conspiracy, dropping dripstone on several leaders and killing them instantly as the rest of the room was sent into a panic. However, the trap malfunctioned, leaving some leaders alive, including 3BelowZero. As everyone panicked, ran and questioned what was happening, saps proclaimed his innocence as people noticed the trap and began putting the pieces together. However, scared for his life, saps bolted from the Meeting Hall, ran to the ocean and swam away. Meanwhile, Seraphim was immediately caught and killed.

On Day 6 in the immediate aftermath of the massacre, Island 2 became massively destabilized with several high-profile leaders dead and various nations trusted into turmoil. When the people of Island 2 gathered their bearings and discussed the situation, they declared that saps was to be hunted down and killed, making him the most wanted man in the world. Although satisfied with his plan going off mostly without a hitch, Flux had still failed to kill both 3BelowZero and Cass. With Seraphim dead, Flux he sent NewKids to take care of 3BelowZero and further push Island 2 into paranoia, resulting in his assassination. As Jophiel had headed the discussion to send aid to Island 1 and 3BelowZero had directed the construction of the Luminara Bridge, when a new leader for Tricolor was chosen, he directed all aid to Island 1 to be cut off and with Luminara leaderless, all construction of the bridge came to a stop. With everything going off without a hitch, Flux had successfully gotten away with everything alongside his followers, who had taken on the name of "The Conspiracy".

Later into Day 6, saps turned himself in after his request for a fair trial was granted and to be hosted by the Commonwealth. Unfortunately for him, Flux had managed to rope the judge, timebomb501, into his conspiracy by bribing him to find saps guilty and have him executed. Additionally, Thomas5200—a high-ranking member of the Conspiracy, was assigned as the prosecutor. However, during the trial, saps pointed the finger at Flux, Thomas and other Luminara members who knew about the meeting area, but nevertheless, he was found guilty and sentenced to to be executed. On the walk to his execution, saps managed to escape and once again flee across the ocean, driven once more into isolation.

On Day 7, the borders dropped and people from Island 1 arrived at Island 2 to visit. Instead of being violent and desiring war, most people from Island 1 were friendly and trade negotiations quickly started, completely unlike what Flux had anticipated, although he still arrogantly claimed that Island 1 was originally going to invade Island 2. At some point, Flux traded with the Covenant of Island 1 for the silence armor trim and was made aware that saps had fled to Island 1. In response, Flux put a large bounty on saps' head to hopefully get him killed and eliminate the last loose end. Flux had also been made aware of Luminara's plans to host a presidential election, although he declined to run for leader. Having basically achieved everything he wanted to, Flux spent the rest of the day with the Conspiracy building another trap in case anything went wrong for them, this time in the Luminara Mountain Mine he could use it as an easy escape.

On Day 8, Flux decided he would run in the Luminara election to secure himself full power on Island 2. To secure his victory in the election, Flux went around Luminara bribing several players with diamonds to vote for him. However, Flux was unaware that word of his activities was spreading and had reached LegacyAN, the frontrunner in the election.

Unbeknownst to Flux, a concerned member of the Cass Coalition by the name of TherinV—who remembered saps' claims against Flux during his trial—approached Cass with video footage of Day 4 showing Flux on the shores of saps' island gathering sand to build up the Meeting Hall, having been reviewing his previous footage. In response, Cass urged him to tell the current leaders of Tricolor and Aperion.

On Day 9, Flux was called to attend a meeting alongside the other Island 1 and 2 leaders by the Blue Cross to discuss the crimes of Infernus and their queen, cynikka. During the meeting, Flux—likely trying to secure himself another possible escape plan if he were ever caught—suggested giving them a fair trial, to which most of the other leaders agreed. He was also made aware that the Covenant had been behind the anti-Island 2 propaganda in the early days, not the entirety of Island 1. When he enquired further if the Covenant would have invaded Island 2, the Island 1 leaders expressed their doubts. As the meeting came to an end, Flux was approached by a few guards from Tricolor, with the lead guard Jamminhead requesting he come with them to face trial after the other Island 2 leaders were made suspicious of Flux's involvement in the Island 2 massacre. Flux's bewilderment quickly turned to hostility and anger, outraged that people were catching on to his involvement in the murders and attempting to paint himself as innocent. Unfortunately, the guards were insistent on him going to prove his innocence and so, he complied.

However, as they walked, Flux privately messaged NewKids—the assassin who took out 3BelowZero on Flux's orders—to come to where he was and attack Flux so he could run away from his arrest with a rational cause and without looking guilty. Sure enough, NewKids quickly joined Flux and the Tricolor guards when they stopped at a peer and immediately attacked Flux, causing him to "panic" and run as the Tricolor guards fended off NewKids, buying Flux enough time to get out of sight and run for the ocean where he and another member of the Conspiracy that had tagged along boated back to Luminara on Island 2.

Once he arrived home, Flux began to spiral as his world flipped upside-down, having believed there was no evidence remaining that could incriminate him and tie him back to all the Island 2 murders, as well as his framing of saps. Thinking quickly and with calculation, Flux ran to meet Legacy and informed him that he was aware of Legacy's ties to the Covenant, which he also found out was working with and harboring saps, a known fugitive. By threatening to release his knowledge of Legacy's ties to the community and possibly the rest of Island 2, Flux successfully got Legacy to drop out of the election and he was automatically declared the winner, becoming president of Luminara. By doing this, Flux believed that any future attempts to arrest him would be rendered near-impossible with the support and backing of Luminara's community.

Little did Flux know, Cass had finally realized that Flux was the mastermind behind all the murders, deducing his motive from how he lashed out at the Island 2 leaders and his questioning of the Covenant's intentions with the anti-Island 2 propaganda posters at the Blue Cross meeting, as well as saps' lack of motive. Additionally, one of her citizens had discovered a chest hidden behind a painting in timebomb's office with Flux's name on it and diamonds inside, revealing he had bribed the judge to rig the trial. After discovering the truth, Cass held a meeting with a few Island 1 leaders and everyone agreed to have Flux arrested the next day.

Flux finally being confronted for his actions by Cass and her supporters.

On Day 10, Flux called Luminara's citizens to deliver a speech honoring 3BelowZero—the man he had orchestrated the killing of—and promising to finish construction on the Luminara Bridge that had gone incomplete since his assassination, all in an effort to make his public image look better. Just as his speech concluded, Luminara was suddenly stormed by dozens of members of the Cass Coalition and Aperion, who invaded the town from the south and ocean respectively to box Flux in and prevent him from escaping. As the army charged forwards, Flux immediately made a run for it, but was chased down and eventually stopped in his tracks by an army's worth of angry players, proclaiming he surrendered. Despite proclaiming the situation an outrage, he was nevertheless arrested for the murders of the Island 2 leaders and the attempted murders of the ones that survived, including Cass herself. However, Cass was not prepared for Luminara's citizens to demand a fair trial and defend Flux, making her cautious and nervous as for what to do next.

In the midst of the chaos, Flux took the opportunity to slink away and immediately make another run for it, this time heading towards the Luminara Mountain Mine where he had set his trap in preparation for a moment like this. After reaching a safe enough distance from the pursuing players, Flux dove into the mine and—whilst indirectly revealing himself as the killer—yelled at one of his followers to pull a lever, which activated his trap, pushing the floor out from underneath the players chasing him and replacing it with open fence gates leading to a pit covered in stalactites, claiming five lives in the process and successfully giving Flux the time needed to escape justice alongside his minion once more as they hopped in a boat and sailed away from Island 2.

With Flux's crimes finally revealed, saps was exonerated after spending days as the most wanted man in the world. In the aftermath of Flux getting away, Legacy assumed control of Luminara and ordered its citizens to evacuate while he and the other leaders sent out hit squads to hunt Flux down, having become a fugitive of the law. Knowing there was only one place to go with enough strength and manpower to hide behind, Flux and the rest of the Conspiracy he had recalled to come with him escaped to Island 1 and sought refuge in Infernus, who had themselves become wanted criminals. In return for housing him, cynikka ordered Flux and the Conspiracy to set traps around the volcano to make it more difficult for the soon-to-be world alliance. Unbeknownst to cynikka, Flux took the time to dig a passageway into the volcano walls and memorized its location so he could use it as an escape hatch if Infernus started to lose during the final battle. Shortly after Flux escaped and confirmed to be allying with Infernus, the remaining Island 1 and 2 nations standing against Flux and cynikka banded together under the Tricolor-Westhelm Alliance and declared war on Infernus.

When the entirety of the Tricolor-Westhelm Alliance reached the volcano where Infernus' base—the Ashen Bastion—stood, the Battle of Infernus began as the combined army charged the volcano. As the alliance scaled the volcano and came under fire from the Covenant, they pushed through and gradually scaled up the volcano before storming the Ashen Bastion and beginning to kill as many Infernus members and allies in sight. Although Flux's traps proved successful in their functionality, they did not halt the infestation of allied players storming the castle and searching for Flux, which was their top priority alongside killing cynikka. As more players stormed the castle, Fluixon ditched cynikka and left her to die while he continued avoiding the allied players. However, it was all in vain as he was discovered hiding in one of the towers and quickly overwhelmed before using a boat to ride out of the tower and plummet straight into a pool of lava.

Flux responding to saps' request for a final duel at the Westhelm Colosseum.

As the Tricolor-Westhelm Alliance continued searching the volcano for Flux, he emerged from the pit of lava he fell into, having survived through pure determination and consuming golden apples to gain fire resistance. After checking to make sure he was out of sight, he reached the volcano walls and mined into the passageway he had created previously, taking Thomas5200 with him as they fled outside the volcano. As Flux was about to escape Island 1 and never be seen again, he was stopped by a private message from saps, who—having lost Flux in the midst of the battle and invoking their past friendship—requested one final fight at the Westhelm Colosseum. Knowing he could not deny his former friend, Flux agreed to the duel and made his way back into Island 1.

Flux preparing to fight saps.

As Flux re-entered Island 1, he and Thomas5200—the last living member of the Conspiracy apart from himself—arrived at the colosseum and geared up while they waited for saps, who arrived after the rest of the allied leaders did. saps admitted he was surprised Flux came, with Flux dryly retorting that he could not say no to a friend. Requesting a fair fight, saps pointed out all the people that had died and were still currently dying all because of Flux's actions. Flux simply replied by pinning the blame on saps for not dying like he was supposed to—referring to all the bounties he placed on his head—before apologizing for everything he had indirectly put saps through and leaping into the arena, beginning their final fight.

Flux's final moments battling saps before his death.

As the two former friends clashed, Flux made the first move by drawing his bow before eventually going in with melee weapons, being observed by the leading members of the Tricolor-Westhelm Alliance and Thomas5200. Although the two players appeared evenly matched in their combat skills, saps managed to get an advantage over Flux by dropping lava on him to further depleat his health as they both continued attacking each other. After a long, gruelling fight with the two ex-friends charging each other one more time, in the end, saps came out on top as he struck Flux down with his axe, killing him and finally ending his reign of terror for good.

Immediately after Flux died, Thomas5200 fled the colosseum, but was eventually arrested in connection with Flux's crimes. Although the battle of Infernus was now over, hundreds of players on both sides had perished during the fight, including most of the Conspiracy and Flux's other allies.

The final, completed Luminara Bridge Flux had tried desperately to stop coming to fruition.

The final, completed Luminara Bridge Flux had tried desperately to stop coming to fruition.

In the days following the Battle of Infernus, the lives of those lost on both sides of the battle were honored by nations across the world, with many players having lost friends in the war and other nations like the Lingulini Mafia left fully dismantled in the wake of the battle. Although talks of a new world government surfaced, the idea never materialized and instead the remaining nations chose to remain on friendly terms whilst tending to their civilizations. Luminara in particular was finally free of Flux's influence and its population returned, now under the benevolent leadership of Legacy, who finished construction of the Luminara Bridge that led directly to Elysium, officially connecting Islands 1 and 2, the very plan Flux had tried to stop.

As Flux had finally been exposed as the mastermind behind the many murders on Island 2, saps—now no longer a fugitive hated by the rest of the world—was finally able to come home to Island 2 and bond with the people who helped him in his time of need, as well as those who recanted their misinformed hatred of him. Additionally, Thomas5200 was subjected to a trial hosted by the Conquesodors and executed after his conviction, with his death eliminating Flux's last known ally to his schemes and marking the definitive end of the Conspiracy for good.

Flux's memorial created by saps at the bottom of the Meeting Hall's staircase.

As the evening turned to night and members of the Tricolor-Westhelm Alliance celebrated their victory over Infernus on saps' island in the Meeting Hall, saps himself was outside at the bottom of the staircase leading up to the very building where Flux had framed saps creating a memorial for the former, writing "Goodbye, friend." on a sign placed on the front and giving him one last send off. As saps bid one final farewell to his former friend, he turned and ascended the stairs to be with his allies, finally burying Flux's legacy of lies and murder, and leaving his plans to halt Island 2's unity with Island 1 in ruin.

Quotes[]

Fluixon: That bridge is a bad idea. Moving up north was a bad idea. Island 1 is going to invade us and Luminara is going to be their first target.
ish: What about the goal of world peace?
Fluixon: I respect our leader's goal, but... he's dead wrong. We shouldn't be trying to
befriend our enemies. The way we're going to achieve world peace is by uniting Island 2 against Island 1.
ish: What if 3BelowZero says no? What if they finish the bridge?
Fluixon: Well... then at least they'll know I tried to warn them when Island 1 comes and kills us all.
~ Fluixon voicing his disapproval of 3BelowZero's plan for world peace, starting his descent into paranoid villainy.
I don't care what 3BelowZero says, we need to make sure everyone united against Island 1.
~ Flux on his way to the Island 2 leader meeting.
SitzKrieg0: Well, we at the great and mighty Commonwealth are looking forward to a productive conversation.
Fluixon: Thanks, SitzKrieg...
AlkalineAlke: So, as the president of Aperion, I'm actually really worried about our town, which is why I'm proposing we all join a defense pact. If one of us gets attacked, all of us are under attack.
SitzKrieg0: Here, here!
Jophiel_: I can agree to that.
CallMeCass: Yeah, I like that, that's good.
Fluixon: That's a good start, but if Island 1 attacks, say, Luminara, well... by the time you can even arrive to defend us, everyone at Luminara will already be dead.
Jophiel_: Which is
why I think we need to focus our efforts on preventing an attack in the first place.
Fluixon: An attack is inevitable. I'm just saying
saparata: Hold on, Flux. Let Jophiel finish.
Jophiel_: Island 1 is starving. They're not going to attack us. They have bigger problems. And imagine for a second how quickly we could change their hearts and minds if instead of treating them as an enemy, we send them aid.
CallMeCass: I think Jophiel's right! We do the defense pact, but we also send aid to Island 1. Basically, we're ready for an attack, but we try our best to prevent it. I'm on board with that.
Jophiel_: I can agree to that.
SitzKrieg0: The Commonwealth agrees!
Fluixon: Guys. No! This is ridiculous! Island 1 is literally making propaganda saying "death to Island 2". They're jealous that we live in a paradise! and they're gonna invade us no matter what. And you wanna send
aid to them? Guess what? They're gonna take whatever you send them—food, armor, weapons—and they're gonna use all of that against us.
SitzKrieg0: Hmm. He might have a point...
AlkalineAlke: Hold on. Island 1 isn't
evil. They're not savages. They just need help.
Fluixon: You
cannot be this naïve.
~ Fluixon's meeting with the other leaders of Island 2, arguing over what to do about Island 1.
Fluixon: Guys.
Jophiel_: Are you crazy?!
Fluixon: What's crazy, Jophiel, is you leading all of us to our deaths! If we don't do this, it's the end of Island 2.
AlkalineAlke: You are selfish!
saparata: Everyone! Everyone! We can't fight. Let's just vote. All in favor of Flux's plan to treat Island 1 as an enemy, say "Aye".
Fluixon: Aye.
~ Flux debating the other Island 2 leaders on how to deal with Island 1 only to be met with silence as everyone silently denounces him.
Fluixon: Despite all the chaos, saps still reached out to me after I was demoted.
ish: Mister mediator. What a good friend!
saparata: Flux here can be a bit
unpredictable, BUT, he's my friend and I know he genuinely wants the best for us.
~ Flux talking with ish and saparata after being demoted.
ish: Flux, what are you gonna do?
Fluixon: Well, first, let me just explain: I'm not allowed to attend this meeting because the leaders of this island are utterly incompetent. They can see that Island 1 is gearing up to invade us and their response is "let's give Island 1
more gear!" It's completely brainless and it's going to result in all of our people dying.
ish: So, you got a plan?
Fluixon: I
had a plan, but nobody listened. They all voted against it. Look, we can still save this island, but the current leadership has to go.
ish: What do you mean by "has to go"?
Fluixon: Has to go. Removed. And I'm
done waiting. It's gonna happen today! Y'know, during the first meeting there was one person there who actually understood what I was saying. Seraphim reached out to me, asked me if they could help in any way. I told Seraphim to kill Jophiel, and today... we will FINISH THE JOB!
ish: What actually happens next?
Fluixon: Something I
didn't want to do! But something that needs to be done! I'm going to save this island by any. Means. Necessary.
ish: Are you sure this is gonna work?
Fluixon: I don't know, but... we have
no other choice.
ish: Flux, do you feel any guilt doing all this?
Fluixon:
(sigh) Well... part of me feels bad for saps.
ish: What do you mean you feel bad for saps?
Fluixon: He has
no idea what's about to happen to him. But... if you had to betray one person to save a thousand... would you?
~ Flux revealing himself to be the mastermind behind Jophiel's death, right before his trap kills several Island 2 leaders.
ish: Howdy, Flux. Oh—oh, you got some fancy armor now!
Fluixon: Yeah! Got it from Island 1.
~ Flux showing off his armor trim to ish.
I heard saps ran to Island 1, so we put out a massive bounty on his head.
~ Flux revealing the bounty he placed on saps' head.
Fluixon: I'm thinking of running in the election tomorrow.
ish: Oh, yeah?
Fluixon: Legacy is pretty popular, but I'm not worried.
~ Flux informing ish of his presidential candidacy.
Jamminhead: Alright, look. We know about the assassinations, alright? You're under arrest. You're coming to Tricolor. You're gonna have a fair trial, just come with us.
Fluixon: What are you talking about?
Jamminhead: Being possibly responsible for the death of Jophiel in any capacity.
Fluixon: What are you talking about?! We know Seraphim was guilty of that.
Jamminhead: There are concerns that you may have been involved in other ways. If you believe yourself innocent—I believe that you are. I trust that you're innocent because you told me you were—But right now the most important thing you can do is simply go to the trial and prove that you're correct, which I believe—
Fluixon: This is an outrage against Luminara! I cannot believe that you would accuse me of this. Why did you not bring this up beforehand?
Jamminhead: So that if you were guilty, you wouldn't run away.
Fluixon: You're seriously scared that I'm going to run away from a trial?
Jamminhead: You agree after what happened with the Commonwealth, we can never be too careful about stuff like that. We're both not—
Fluixon: Fine. Fine, I will go. But this is— this is an outrage.
Jamminhead: Alright, let's go. We're gonna— we're gonna remember this.
Fluixon: We will not stand for this.
~ Flux getting arrested and escorted to trial after being accused of being involved in Jophiel's murder.
Fluixon: Legacy!
LegacyAN: Yeah?
Fluixon: We've just been informed that you have ties to the Covenant and they're working with saps, the traitor. So, the problem is, we're afraid you're a national security threat. You have two choices right now: You either drop out of the election this instant or we can do this the hard way.
LegacyAN: Oh, that's tough... Alright...
~ Flux blackmailing Legacy into dropping out of the election to hopefully secure himself diplomatic immunity from being arrested again.
I don't know about war. Maybe a trial? Give Infernus a chance to tell their side.
~ Flux convincing the global island leaders to give Infernus a trial.
Welcome, everyone! Welcome. We gather here today because, well... we never got the opportunity to properly mourn our previous leader, 3Below. He was more than just a Luminaran, he was a friend, and I am very much excited that we can continue his legacy and complete the bridge, which he would've wanted.
~ Fluixon gathering Luminara to mourn 3BelowZero and finish the bridge to gain public support.
Fluixon: I surrender, I surrender! I'm not moving! I'm not moving!
Freshman3297: Flux, you are under arrest for killing Jag, Alke, members of Tricolor and a leader of Commonwealth.
Fluixon: This is an
outrage!
CallMeCass: And attempting
my assassination, you [CENSORED]!'
~ Flux being confronted by CallMeCass and several Island 2 leaders for his actions
PULL IT!
~ Fluixon yelling at gotoga to activate his fall trap whilst being chased, finally revealing himself as the killer of the Island 2 leaders.
I'll be there.
~ Flux's message to saps, agreeing to a one-on-one fight.
saparata: Wow. You actually showed up.
Fluixon: Can't say no to a friend, can I?
saparata: Let's make this a fair fight, okay? Flux. Look at all these people—dying because of you.
Fluixon: You know, saps... none of this would've happened if you had died like you were supposed to. I'm sorry for everything you've had to go through.
~ Flux's final confrontation with saps before their final battle, as well as his last words before his death.

Trivia[]

  • Due to the unique name his username was spelt, Fluixon's name was often shortened to "Flux". This has led to his name commonly being incorrectly pronounced and spelt "Fluxion".
  • In Season 2, Jophiel_ was incorrectly labelled Theria's second leader, when in actuality it was Flux.
  • Flux first met saparata in Season 1.5 and have collaborated in several other Minecraft events since even before Season 2.5.
  • There is a popular headcanon among fans of ish's State that Flux and cynikka are siblings, as well as the last living descendants of Elanuelo, the emperor of the Aculon Empire from Season 2. Although this is most likely not the case, the headcanon has been supported by both Flux and cynikka themselves.
