Forestfear is the main antagonist of Reaperverses My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Legend of Everfree, a cameo character in My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Sunset's Backstage Pass, a tri-part antagonist in My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Holidays Unwrapped, and a minor antagonist in My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Revenge of Disharmony.

He is a being created by Linogrin and Glimps, and who became a victim of political cruelty at the hands of Slenderman and young Celestia, and is also the Second New Element of Disharmony from the Human World, who tried to conquer the Human World for the Fantastic Creatures, who, with the help of his Squad, captures Camp Everfree and activates portal to the World of Fantastic Creatures, but the Guardians of Friendship manage to stop it.

Biography[]

Past[]

Forestfear was created by Linogrin and Glimps approximately 500 years ago. Existing in a society of fantastic creatures, Forestfear tried in every possible way to help life in the city of his king. This went on for a very long time, during which time Forestfear became kind, sympathetic and honest. But everything changed after Linogreen died in the battle with Lincoln. Then Slenderman began to increasingly fear that Forestfear could displace him as the main candidate for the King of Fantastic Creatures. His fears were also supported by the fact that Linogreen actively praised his creation. The same applied to the people of his city, who also treated Forestfear with kindness. Then Slenderman, with the help of his agents, caused minor destruction in the city and, with the help of strong evidence, blamed Forestfear. Faceless decided that the most reasonable way would be to send Forestfear somewhere to a remote part of Oneness. As a result, Slenderman expelled Forestfear to a world called Equestria, and secretly eliminated those who tried to prove Forestfear’s innocence from everyone.

Appearing in Equestria, Forestfear was not discouraged and decided that if Slenderman did not want him to do good in the World of Fantastic Creatures, then he could do it in another world.

At first, it was difficult for Forestfear to find a place for himself in Equestria until Celestia herself drew attention to him. She decided that such a lonely creature needed care from someone who was well versed in friendship. Celestia took Forestfear under her wing and appointed her as her first assistant in the field of scientific research.

Forestfear fit into Equestrian society very well and quickly. Many of his works delighted the local population. And he never resorted to violence in his life. However, only until he encountered a bloody massacre in the Everfree Forest, arranged by two agents of Slenderman. Unexpectedly, Forestfear discovered Blood Magic, touching the blood of the dead and killing almost the entire population of Ponyville (at that time he could not yet control his actions and mind when using this technique). Forestfear tried to prove his innocence by the fact that he could not control his actions then, but Celestia did not want to listen to him and sent him to life imprisonment in a prison near Canterlot. She, seeing that Forestfear could threaten her race and her power with her abilities, decided to secretly destroy him from everyone.

But Celestia did not suspect that Forestfear, who had brought all his feelings to the absolute limit, heard her talk about his destruction and, incredibly angry, activated Blood Magic (before that, having lured and killed the prison guard, after which he absorbed his blood into himself) and blind rage, destroying a huge part of Canterlot and killing almost its entire population. He ended up fighting Celestia and Luna and nearly defeated them. But at the last moment, when he was already close to killing them, his Berserker Technique stopped working, and there was no longer any means of recharging. Realizing that without Blood Magic he could not defeat the princesses, and his other abilities were not well developed, Forestfear decided to escape. Escaping from the princesses along the corridors of the destroyed Canterlot castle, he discovers a Magic Mirror in one of the rooms and without thinking twice passes through it. Celestia and Luna were unable to detect Forestfear, but are sure that he will make himself known. Maybe not in Equestria, but somewhere else.

Forestfear escaped and found himself in the Human World. Now he has finally come to the conclusion that he should trust creatures like Slenderman or Celestia. He decided that if he could not bring benefit to someone, then let him bring it to himself. He decided to subjugate the Human World. But he can't do it alone.

And then he decided to involve the local “Higher Powers” in this. He chose the six most influential people from the six continents of the Human World. He gave them a piece of his magic and gave them the task of building portals to the World of Fantastic Creatures, disguising them as factories. In return, he promised to save their lives after his new army took over this world, as well as untold riches, and promised to choose one of them as his first assistant. This is how the “Lords of Business” were born - six rich people who teamed up with Forestfear.

One day, while still the fourth New Element of Disharmony, Forestfear walked along the highway leading to Camp Everfree and ate the flesh of animals hit by cars. At one point, he met Juniper Montage, whose family had died in a car accident and was on the verge of death. She was slowly bleeding from a wound in her back and was so covered in burns that she was unrecognizable. Forestfear was so moved by what he saw that he offered Juniper his magic to turn her into the Lord of Business. Forestfear later took the position of the second New Element of Disharmony, being higher in rank than Enegyreaper, although the latter became the Element of Disharmony before him.

After the Lords of Business built five portals to the World of Fantastic Creatures on five continents, Forestfear could only activate the sixth portal on his continent. A place called Camp Everfree was perfect for this. In order not to attract unnecessary attention, he decided to approach getting the camp more subtly. Thanks to the visual and sound effects that his fellow fantasy creatures helped him achieve, he manipulated his body to transform himself into the dark spirit of the Everfree Forest.

Forestfear called himself Gaia Everfree - the evil spirit who rules the Everfree Forest: it was on her lands that the ancestors of Timber Spruce and Gloriosa Daisy came. They begged Gaia Everfree to let them stay and build a camp. Forestfear, however, agreed, but only for a while; one day he will return to reclaim the forest, as can be seen from his trail of crushed gems.

Ten years later, Forestfear, due to the manipulations of Filthy Rich, kills the great-grandparents of Timber and Gloriosa, who by this time already had children.

But suddenly the Gate Guardian himself appeared and entered into battle with Forestfear. As a result, the Guardian deals an incredibly powerful blow to the hybrid and it disappears. He erases the memory of Timber and Gloriosa's children's great-grandparents about the event, and then gives them to the care of other parents.

My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Legend of Everfree[]

Forestfear survives the battle with the Gate Guardian. And he did not die only because two fragments of his body separated from him at the moment of splitting. The first fell deep into the forest and sprouted, becoming Forestfear again. And the second fragment fell into a quarry, where it gave birth to eight magic crystals.

Due to the fact that the Gate Guardian caused too much damage with his sword, consisting of the Unified Energy, Forestfear's regeneration slowed down extremely. And in the end, it took him 60 years to completely restore his body. When he finally recovers, he discovers that some of the Lords of Business have stopped fulfilling their duties. And specifically, Principal Cinch, who decided to act independently and, teaming up with Slenderman, decided to rule the Human World herself.

Then Forestfear sends his most loyal ally from among the fantastic creatures, The Shy Guy, to find out what Synch is up to, and at the same time find out as much as possible about the human owners of the Magic of Friendship. Plus, Forestfear also learns that Slenderman has arrived in the Human World and decides to take advantage of the moment and gives an order to The Shy Guy: to make at least a minor attempt to weaken Slenderman a little. Upon The Shy Guy's arrival at Forestfear after the Friendship Games, the latter reports that Slenderman was "thrown out" back to Equestria, talks about how the Magic of Friendship works in the Human World, and reports how Principal Cinch died. Forestfear is angry that Shy Man didn't make at least a minor attempt to weaken Slenderman a little.

Having received all the necessary information, he arranges a meeting of the Lords of Business. He tells the Lords that Principal Cinch eventually died at the hands of Slenderman's allies, on whom she tried to blame the fact that they were trying to take over the Human World. Forestfear is very disappointed in Cinch's behavior, so much so that he declares that he will disband the Lords of Business and will only accompany fantasy allies. He kills Fancy Pants after reading his mind, and Sapphire Shores for contradicting him. When Wind Rider attempts to escape, Forestfear decapitates him and renders him unable to regenerate. Gladmane tries to plead with his master and asks for more of his magic to manifest himself. Taking this for orders, Forestfear becomes angry and kills him. Before killing Filthy Rich, the businessman states how much he enjoys making Forestfear's enemies suffer and thanks Forestfear for allowing him to become his latest victim. Seeing the potential in Rich, Forestfear gives him a large amount of her magic, and also injects him with a fragment of DNA from a separate species of The Thing. Filthy Rich almost dies from the new load of power, but manages to survive. Forestfear then gives him one last chance to prove that the Business Lords are not useless. After this, he ordered that Camp Everfree be taken over and the Guardians of Friendship killed when the time came. Rolling to the ground in agony, Filthy Rich, despite the pain, laughed and the only thing that came to his mind was Forrestfear's promise of more magic, and the opportunity to successfully overthrow Forrestfear.

Powers and Abilities[]

Taking the position of the Second New Element of Disharmony from the Human World, Forestfear is considered one of the most powerful fantasy creatures in the Human World and in this series. His combination of fighting techniques and skills was powerful enough to defeat Sunset Shimmer without much difficulty, and it was noted that he also defeated one of the Old Elements of Disharmony from the Human World. His main form of combat involved him channeling his techniques through his hands, feet or eyes, both powerful destructive attacks and magical attacks from his opponents. In Forestfear's opinion, Energyreaper, the Third New Element of Disharmony, and Burndown, the First New Element of Disharmony, would have no chance of defeating him in battle. Considering this, we can safely assume that Forestfear is an indescribably powerful fantasy creature.

  • Immense Regeneration: Forestfear has demonstrated incredibly powerful regenerative abilities, as seen when the Reaper of Worlds cut him almost in half with a Gauss Cannon, and he instantly recovered without much effort, including repairing massive damage to his entire internal body. During his battle against the Guardians of Friendship, he was able to render all the various magical attacks thrown at his body useless, immediately developing immunity without much trouble. Even when he absorbed and entered the ball of Unified Energy, it took a long time before the energy began to have any adverse effects on him.
  • Immense Speed & Reflexes: Forestfear has superhuman speed and reflexes, and can move so fast that he appears to teleport. Due to their ranking, it can be assumed that Forestfear is several times faster than Energyreaper, who was able to keep up with Midnight Sparkle. He first demonstrated his immense speed during his duel with the Reaper of Worlds, where he appeared to teleport towards the Guardian, which caught him off guard. Later, when Rainbow Dash appeared behind him and prepared to strike him, Forestfear stated that he could easily dodge this attack if he wanted, but did not do so on purpose, as he wanted to play along with his weak opponent.
  • Unlimited Stamina & Endurance: Forestfear has absolute and infinite stamina and vitality, never getting tired and always remaining in optimal physical and mental condition, and is able to withstand waves of onslaught as if they were nothing. He has shown near complete immunity to repeated brutal attacks from the Gate Guardian, damage to his eye from the Reaper of Worlds, repeated poisoning and blows from Adam Slasher and Sci-Twi, having his arms and legs cut by Sunset Shimmer, and being subjected to various forms of skin damage. including fire. Forestfear never once expressed the slightest pain, discomfort or panic at being so badly wounded, being able to calmly continue fighting as if nothing was happening.
  • Immeasurable Strength: As the most powerful of all the Elements of Disharmony, Forestfear's physical strength surpasses that of all existing entities specifically in the My Little Pony multiverse. Even the most powerful of his cast of Elements of Disgamony, such as the Energy Reaper, who can manipulate energy itself in almost all its aspects, Midnight Reaper, who can create tornadoes of dark energy, and poison enemies with a poison-coated scythe, and Night Gaunt, who wields the ability to project music and sounds in general, like combat and attack techniques - all this pales in comparison to Forestfear. Each of his blows is powerful enough to cause cuts, break ribs, shatter eyes, and then pierce the body of Sanchet Shimmer, the Guardian of Friendship, who has above-average durability. Forestfear also easily broke the sword made of Unified Energy in half with one side blow. It has also been shown to be capable of destroying the head of the Reaper of Worlds, despite the latter having an infinite level of durability. In addition, Forestfear can easily burrow underground, even causing strong tremors in its wake. When combined with his "Combo Elemental Attack Technique", his strength increases even further, allowing him to create craters in the ground simply by striking it.
  • Body Manipulation: Forestfear can change his body, enlarge his limbs, change his body size, etc. Changing the shape of his body allows him to transform his arms, legs and head into weapons (shotgun, blaster, sword, spike, grenade launcher, etc.), create from his back or from anywhere on his body an unlimited number of limbs of any length and size, or form from yourself a living wall made of wood.

  • One-Second Style: Oozing Peak - Forestfear summons a magmatic stone spike from underground, which sprays lava splashes at medium and long range if the enemy dodges the spike's piercing.
  • One-Third: Dangerous Mud Technique - involves soil manipulation, as well as a remote diversionary attack.
    • Sloppy Idol- Forestfear creates earthen copies of himself to fight his opponents. He has shown that he is capable of creating up to one hundred clones of himself at a time, each with roughly basic skills and proficiency in Earth Magic, and in addition to this, that they are capable of using the Null Earth technique. Additionally, these clones are capable of recording any information collected during battle and transmitting it to Forestfear, allowing him to better fight his opponents. However, the disadvantages of this technique is that clones require a large amount of magic to create and maintain. their functionality, causing Forestfear to take time to create a new hundred copies of himself.
    • Null Ground - Forestfear liquefies the soil under the opponent's feet, causing the opponent to sink into quicksand and be unable to activate abilities.
  • One-Fourth Style: Smoke Vector of Doom - Forestfear creates an elemental pentagram under itself with five arrows for each element. This technique allows Forestfear to use one of five elements of his choice for his first attack. If Forestfear chooses fire, then when rushing towards the enemy, Forestfear will deal a large-scale burning blow to the enemy. If Forestfear chooses water, then when rushing towards the enemy, Forestfear will have the opportunity to pump out part of the enemy's water from the body, while being at medium and close distance. If Forestfear chooses land, then when rushing towards the enemy, Forestfear will receive additional temporary protection in the form of stone armor. If Forestfear chooses air, then when rushing towards the enemy, Forestfear will have the opportunity to temporarily increase the speed of his movement tenfold. If Forestfear chooses metal, then when rushing towards the enemy, Forestfear will unleash a barrage of attacks from steel spikes on the enemy. This technique also possessed other useful combat skills. Firstly, Forestfear is able to determine the strength of any opponent at a glance, such as when he discerned that Sunset was the Guardian of Friendship just by looking at her. Secondly, Forestfear is capable of detecting the presence of his opponents in his immediate surroundings (even in his blind spots) and can use this to predict where and how his opponents will strike him. This technique also allows Forestfear to determine where his target's weak points are and instinctively target them. Additionally, the accuracy of Forestfear's attacks increased significantly, to the point that Twilight stated that it was like magnets drawing his fists to his vital organs, and even described them as having "unprecedented accuracy". Another feature of his Smoke Vector of Doom allows him to quickly adapt to his opponent's attacks, learning to anticipate their techniques and attack patterns and even strike back with equal accuracy over time.
  • One-Fifth Style: Titanium Rockfall - Forestfear summons titanium spherical stones from underground, which are directed towards the enemy at a frantic speed of rotation at Forestfear's command.
  • Two-Third Style: Boiling Chaos Technique - Forestfear summons streams of hot steam from underground, quickly directing them towards the target, and creates a barrage of powerful steam waves, destroying everything in its path.
  • Two-Fourth Style: Seismic Storm Technique - Forestfear transforms his arm into a whip-blade before swinging it through the empty air in front of him, creating a powerful shockwave that flies towards his target and hits them from afar, slamming them into the ground and leaving them buried in the ground. large dents. These air shock waves can be created several times in quick succession and can be released into the sky or onto the ground.
  • Two-Fifth Style: Melting Hell - Forestfear unleashes an omnidirectional barrage of countless thin and sharp blades of molten metal that deliver thousands of melting-cutting blows to his target, coming from everywhere almost simultaneously.
  • Three-Four Style: Blades of the North - Forestfear enhances the durability of her blade arms by coating them in a layer of ice, and then delivers a straight, forward piercing strike to the opponent, which creates a shockwave as soon as the blades connect with the target.
  • Three-Fifth Style: Red Death Technique - For this technique, Forestfear uses streams of rust, as well as objects covered with rust.
    • Toxic Cloud - Forestfear sends a gust of rusty cloud at the enemy, which oxidizes and corrodes the enemy's body in a matter of seconds.
    • Great Shaky Wall - Forestfear summons a giant rusty wall from underground to give itself a small chance of defense.
  • Four - Fifth Style: Raging Stormsteel - Forestfear creates thousands of long and curved steel blades stacked on top of each other and begins to spin them, essentially creating a vortex of steel blades. As Sunset Shimmer notes, this technique was performed without Forestfear performing any movements.
  • United Style: Absolute Release Technique - Forestfear's ultimate technique. Forestfear uses all five elements simultaneously to unleash a perfectly lethal attack on his opponent.
    • Elemental Annihilation - Forestfear crouches down with both hands on the sides of his body, ready to strike. He then lunges forward, creating five powerful shockwaves from his palms, each containing a different element, which he uses to hit his target with great force. Thus, the air wave delivers sweeping cutting blows towards the enemy. Fire Wave unleashes a flaring barrage of powerful fiery strikes towards the opponent that are so fast that they create afterimages, with each strike producing powerful searing waves. The ground wave delivers several gravity strikes towards the enemy, each of which creates large and strong seismic waves. The metallic wave delivers a massive long-range curved blow towards the enemy, which leaves hundreds of curved steel blades in its path.
    • Five Element Dragon - Forestfear transforms himself into a gigantic dragon that can use all five elements at a much higher level than before in terms of usage power. The dragon can emit powerful fire breath, channel powerful gusts of wind, channel a giant tsunami, pierce opponents with steel blade-like attacks, and generate destructive seismic waves.

Personality[]

During his life in the World of Fantastic Creatures, Forestfear always showed himself to be a kind, honest and hardworking member of his race, using his abilities for the benefit of all fantastic creatures. When Slender Man learned that his king, Linogrin, had died in battle with Lincoln, he decided to exile Forestfear, accusing him of crimes against his race, fearing that he might displace him as the King of Fantastic Creatures. He was angry with both Slenderman and Celestia because they suspected him of being a threat to their politics (although he himself only wanted to bestow goodness on those around him), and therefore harbored strong resentment and hatred towards them.

Having appeared in the human world, Forestfear completely lost almost all the positive qualities of his character. He became an incredibly cruel, ruthless, dark, vindictive, destructive, and above all insane, but at the same time a very naive character who will do anything to achieve his goals. He respected his team when he congratulated them on their successful operation to capture Camp Everfree, and generally showed genuine concern for his race and his ward Juniper Montage.

Due to his hatred of Slender Man, Forestfear also has an intolerance for failure, shown when he carried out a purge of the Lords of Business after the death of Cinch, the Fifth Lord, simply because he believed that human allies were becoming nothing more than useless losers ready to change sides at any time when it suits them. Despite this, Forestfear spared Filthy Reach, the First Lord, because he admired the defeats Forestfear's enemies showed when facing certain death, and gave him some of his magic and the DNA of a separate species of The Thing.

He suppressed all his emotions when killing his enemies. When he killed the Business Lords, eliminating them one by one, he felt neither joy, nor sadness, nor disgust, nor fear. But gradually, with each murder, he became more and more sophisticated in his methods of dealing with enemies (not without the manipulations of Filthy Rich).

Forestfear is very cunning and smart. He is shrewd enough to fit easily into human society. He can hide his evil side and put on a friendly face when necessary (partly due to his psychological instability). He is manipulative and can quickly get people on his side to exploit them. His fierce and imposing nature has earned him great admiration from many fantasy creatures.

Despite his cruelty, Forestfear always and everywhere shows pity, mercy and compassion for those who find themselves in the same situation as himself, and, in principle, for all innocent souls. After all, it was in Juniper Montage that he saw himself as the one to whom no one came to help in a deadly situation. This is why Forestfear always worried and cared about her more than the other Business Lords, showing almost fatherly feelings towards her. His concern for her was so great that he had no problem allowing her to share the position of the Fourth Element of Disharmony with the Midnight Reaper (whom he also subsequently placed in Juniper's care while he was busy taking over Camp Everfree). Also, when Crimson Napalm and Cherry Crush tried to sell information about Forestfear to the Gate Guardian, the latter just wanted to slightly intimidate them, but in no case kill them, explaining his choice by saying that they are just stupid children who do not understand what they have case. And he just wanted to drive away the Keepers of Harmony and other visitors to the camp, but not to cause them the slightest harm. In rare moments, he can be very sentimental. And this behavior, as a result, divided the New Elements of Disharmony from the Human World objectively into two camps: those who were attracted by this feature of Forestfear, and those who were repelled by this feature of Forestfear.

Despite his very aggressive nature, Forestfear never lost control of himself at all. Over time, he learned to use his aggression and rage as a weapon, developing Blood Magic, and now he could regulate his every action when using it, and at any second he could stop the rage raging within him. A striking example is the moment when he brutally dealt with a military detachment that arrived at the Camp Everfree; immediately after the end of the battle, he stopped experiencing aggression and rage and immediately calmed down.

However, despite the lack of temper, self-confidence, pride, arrogance and pompousness, Forestfear very often relies on his abilities, and specifically on his fantastically fast regeneration. Due to the fact that he had not absorbed the fire (and thus would have gained absolute immunity to explosions), Genos threw a grenade at him, which caused Forestfear numerous injuries throughout his body and as a result he died, unable to recover from such a huge number of wounds. It was also noticeable that he often focused on the situation he was in, which is why the Guardians of Friendship quickly recognized his weaknesses.

The key reason for his cruelty, sadism and, most importantly, Forestfear's madness is the psychological trauma he received due to the actions of Slenderman and Celestia. This led to his right-hand man, Filthy Reach, beginning to exploit his master's psychological state to satisfy his sadistic needs of killing and inflicting suffering on innocent souls, something Forestfear himself would never do under any circumstances. It was enough for Philthy Rich to say that someone was connected with Slenderman or Celestia, then Forestfear would go into a rage and kill those who had nothing to do with either Slenderman or Celestia. Without noticing it, Forestfear began to turn from the leader of his team into the “chain dog” of Filthy Rich, who would carry out all his orders and kill anyone, it was enough to say that someone was connected with Slenderman or Celestia.

As a result, in terms of character, we can say that during the course of the entire plot of My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Legend of Everfree, Forestfear walked the line between a normal and conscious perception of the world, fierce hatred of those who were responsible for his troubles, and madness. The last two, no matter how sad it may sound, eventually prevailed over him.

Quotes[]

Principal Cinch betrayed us and died. I leave the remaining members of the Lords of Business with much to be desired.
~ Forestfear to his Ministers.
I guessed that Cinch would lose. As I thought, her thirst for power, her treacherous nature and her cowardice, based on her immeasurable selfishness, ultimately led her to death. If Cinch had not wasted time on her ambitions and on Twilight, then she would most likely have succeeded in her plans. Not to mention the fact that she could simply steal a device with a full set of Friendship Magic from Twilight and run away..... However, this is no longer important... This is not important... Scoundrels who are driven solely by exorbitant pride and thirst power, and carrying within themselves so much arrogance, indifference and deceit that they prevent them from achieving their goals.... are no longer important.
~ Forestfear about Principal Cinch.
Princess Celestia and Slenderman have not yet been defeated by anyone. (speaks in an angry voice) Why haven’t you been able to destroy them for more than a hundred years?! It’s getting harder and harder for me to find excuses for your constant failures and your indifferent character towards our race!
~ Forestfear to his Ministers.
More than anything in the world, I hate uncertainty. Uncertainty in spoken words, uncertainty in actions, uncertainty in your thoughts. Any uncertainty is primarily a defeat. Contrition, nothing more. That’s why I love confidence and clarity in my decisions. The ideal action that will guarantee you success in your goals.
~ Forestfear to Genos.
