Fredbear, also known as Golden Freddy (real names: Cassidy and Evan Afton), is the main antagonist of the FNAF Minecraft animation series Disrepair by Evmations Studios.
He is an animatronic yellow bear created by duo entrepreneurs named Henry Emily and William Afton for their restaurant Fredbear's Family Diner. However, when William killed five children at Fredbear's and stuffed their bodies into the animatronics, one of the children named Cassidy was stuffed into Fredbear, causing Cassidy's soul to possess Fredbear. A few days later, William's youngest son, Evan Afton, was accidentally bitten by Fredbear when his older brother, Michael Afton, bullied him by putting his head in Fredbear's mouth, causing Evan's soul to also possess Fredbear thus making Fredbear possessed by two souls at once. Now as an animatronic, Cassidy and Evan decide to work together to put their's as well their friends' souls to rest by killing William.
Biography[]
Part 1 : Gonna Pretend[]
Fredbear is one of two Springlock animatronics (alongside Spring Bonnie) created by duo genius entrepreneurs named Henry Emily and William Afton for one of their restaurants, Fredbear's Family Diner. Just like other animatronics, Fredbear is initially mindless as his main purpose is simply to entertain children. However, everything changed when one of his creators, William Afton, killed five children at the same restaurant. After killing the five children and taking their remnants, William stuffed their bodies into animatronics to cover his tracks. One of William's victims named Cassidy was stuffed into Fredbear himself. William then left the five animatronics without suspecting anything about the five animatronics, not realizing that the souls of the five children had accidentally possessed the five animatronics, giving them control over the animatronics' bodies. Because Cassidy's soul is stuffed into Fredbear, Fredbear is possessed by Cassidy and unlike his colleagues, he has the supernatural power to torture people in his mind. Currently, Fredbear still has no determination to take revenge and is still used to performing at Fredbear's Family Diner.
A few days after the murder of the five children, William's youngest son named Evan Afton celebrated his birthday party at Fredbear's Family Diner. Unfortunately for Evan, he met his end on the same day when his cruel older brother, Michael Afton, along with his friends, bullied him. Michael and his friends lift Evan and put his head in Fredbear's mouth, despite Evan's attempt to free himself. Evan is ultimately killed when Fredbear bites Evan's head, crushing his skull and causing him to become unconscious. Due to this incident, Fredbear's Family Diner was eventually closed, leaving the animatronics (including Fredbear) locked in the storage room and left to wither. In the hospital, Evan eventually dies, causing William to become more depressed and also causing him to fall deeper into insanity.
However, unbeknownst to William, Evan's soul had possessed the same animatronic that had bitten him, making his soul also possess Fredbear along with Cassidy. Fredbear was still left inactive when Evan began to possess him.
Part 2 : Epoch[]
Fredbear appears in William's hallucination after his daughter, Elizabeth Afton, is killed by Circus Baby. When William tries to escape from the hallucinations of his family who are very upset of him, Fredbear suddenly appears in front of William along with four other children who have possessed the same animatronics they had stuffed in, namely Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy. William attempts to escape from the five animatronics, but is quickly pushed down by a hallucination of Evan, allowing Fredbear to use his nightmare manipulation power on William, waking him up from the hallucination.
Part 3 : Introduction to the Show[]
After being inactive for a long time, Fredbear finally became active again after Evan's soul succeeded in possessing Fredbear. Fredbear's two souls then see themselves and felt despair at their new form, considering it as a curse. As Fredbear's two souls are still brooding sadly, they hear a sound from the storage room and are shocked to see their friends have been stuff into the animatronics as well. Cassidy and Evan's souls became furious with their's and their friends' unfortunate fate, making them decide to work together to get revenge on William so that their souls can rest. Using his soul manipulation power, Fredbear awakens the souls who possessed the four animatronics to help him in his revenge. After the four animatronics were successfully awakened, Fredbear immediately invited them to get revenge against their killer so that their souls can rest in peace. The four other animatronics agreed to Fredbear's plan and all they needed to do now is wait for William to return to the restaurant.
Fredbear then named his group of animatronics as "The Missing Children", because they were missing children who were never found and forever cursed as robots until their revenge was fulfilled. Fredbear also become the leader of the Missing Children's since he's the most powerful member in the group.
Part 4 : The Mind Electric[]
William returns to Fredbear's Family Diner to retrieve the remnants of The Missing Children. However, before he can stab Freddy, Freddy woke up first and was followed by other Missing Children members. Seeing their killer, Freddy aggressively threw William out of the storage room before throwing him into the sky, making William unconscious from falling from a height. In his mind, Fredbear appears to torture William by throwing him all over the place before daring him to kill him with a knife. A frightened William instead runs from Fredbear, much to the annoyance of the animatronic bear which causes him to take William to another part of the mind where he will be tortured by the souls of Cassidy and Evan.
As a seemingly hypnotized William walks aimlessly, Cassidy and Evan appear beside him, taunting William by saying that he won't understand why they are laughing at him. Fredbear then reappears to stab William with three knives before biting William's head, destroying part of his head and exposing his frontal lube. Fredbear then drops William from a height, where Cassidy and Evan appear once again to taunt William before he lands on the ground. Seeing that William is still alive, an irritated Cassidy and Evan kick William's head in anger before allowing William to be dragged away by Fredbear. Feeling that William has been tortured enough and needs to be killed, Fredbear stuffs William into the Spring Bonnie suit and activates the springlock with his power. The springlock crushed William's body, causing him to scream in pain until William lying unconscious in the Spring Bonnie suit. Fredbear assumes William is finally dead and decides to leave him to rot.

Fredbear is an animatronic bear whose entire body is golden yellow. He wears a purple hat and purple bow tie and he also has six whiskers on his snout. His teeth are white. Before being possessed by Cassidy and Evan, his eyes were white and his pupils were blue. After being possessed by them, his eyes are black with white pupils.

Cassidy : Cassidy is a Japanese-American girl with pale skin, black hair, and yellow eyes. She wore a white short-sleeved t-shirt with yellow stripes and black short suspender. She also wore white shoes.
Evan Afton : Evan is a boy with white skin, dark brown hair and brown eyes. He wore a black short-sleeved t-shirt with two gray stripes and blue shorts. He also wore brown shoes.
Souls[]
Cassidy and Evan's soul forms are similar to their human forms, except the color scheme is grayish blue and there is also a glitch effect whenever they appear in their soul forms.
Personality[]
Initially, Fredbear was a mindless animatronic created only to entertain children. However, after Cassidy was killed by William and Evan was accidentally killed by Fredbear which resulted in their souls possessing the bear animatronic, Fredbear became a figure who initially full of despair and suffering who considered his new form to be a curse. However, after learning that he has supernatural powers in his animatronic form, he turns into a vengeful and ambitious figure who is determined to take revenge on William who he consider responsible for the murder of he and his friends as well. When he finally managed to get the chance to take revenge, Fredbear and his two souls proved to be ruthless and violent in torturing William by throwing him all over the place and even going so far as to kick and mutilate him in anger. Cassidy and Evan's souls also seem to enjoy taunting William just for their own amusement.
Despite being very ruthless and vengeful, Fredbear is shown to care deeply for the other Missing Children, as they were also victims of William's murder which they did not want to be involved in in the first place. Fredbear also thought that by taking revenge against William, their souls can finally calm down and they can rest in peace without anger. Cassidy and Evan are also shown to be very cooperative in torturing William.

- Ironically, despite serving as the main antagonist, Fredbear is shown to be morally better than William (who serves as the series' main protagonist), because even though Fredbear is shown to be very ruthless and vengeful, he still cares about the other Missing Children and his main motivation to kill William is to avenge himself and his friends so that their souls can rest in peace, a motivation that is not selfish. On the other hand, William, despite being the protagonist of the series, is shown to be more ruthless and irredeemable than Fredbear. William's motivation is also very selfish, as he kills children just to make himself immortal, without thinking about the consequences that will happen to him and the people around him. Also, unlike Fredbear who cares about his friends, William doesn't care about anyone including his own family as he didn't do anything when Michael disappeared for days.
- Because of his good qualities, this version of Fredbear can be considered as an anti-villain rather than a villain like most of his versions.
- Fredbear's appearance is somewhat similar to Golden Freddy from Ekrcoaster's Baby's Story series.
- Fredbear/Golden Freddy being possessed by the souls of Cassidy and Evan Afton/The Crying Child appears to be based on a popular theory regarding the character.
- William's youngest son and also Fredbear's second soul's name, Evan Afton, is never mentioned in the series. However, his name (along with his mother's name, Clara) was mentioned by the series' creator in a YouTube comment and also in a behind the scene video of Gonna Pretend.
- Although this version of Fredbear is clearly an adaptation of Golden Freddy from the original FNAF series, he has more similarities to The Puppet from the original series than Golden Freddy.
- Both have connection to the Missing Children (Fredbear being the leader of the Missing Children and also the one who awakened their souls, while The Puppet gave life to the Missing Children and is often considered as the co-leader of the Missing Children).
- Both were possessed by female souls (Fredbear was possessed by Cassidy as his first soul, while The Puppet was possessed by Charlotte Emily).
- Both have supernatural powers (Fredbear has the power of mind and nightmare manipulation, while The Puppet has the power of telekinesis and soul manipulation).

- The series creator have confirmed that The Puppet and Charlotte Emily do not exist in the Disrepair universe and that Fredbear is a "replacement" for The Puppet in this universe. This makes this version of Fredbear a mix between Golden Freddy and The Puppet from the original FNAF series.
