Freddles are minor antagonists in Five Nights at Freddy's fanfiction Mike's New Ghostly Family, by Archcommander-Tenebros.

They are sons of Nightmare Freddy and three of the five younger Nightmares that would make up the next generation of the clan's bloodline.

Appearance[]

Freddles resemble miniature versions of Nightmare Freddy, being small plush-like brown bear animatronics wearing tophats and bowties. They have black eyes with white pupils and their animatronic suits have rips on their bodies and heads.

Personality[]

Not much is known about Freddles, given that they never spoke in the fanfic. Judging from the fact that they were complicit in torturing Michael Afton by summoning their father to kill him, and the fact that Nightmare Freddy was eager to let them eat William Afton from inside out, it's implied that they enjoy torturing people like their older demonic peers.

History[]

Freddles were some of the younger Nightmares who, along with Plushtrap and Nightmare B.B., would make the next generation of the clan's bloodline. Together with Nightmare Freddy, they collectively terrorized Michael Afton when the Nightmares were sent into his dreams by Old Man Consequences, granting vengeful Evan Afton's wish in the most unwanted way possible. Throughout the trials, the Freddles were appearing on the bed, summoning Nightmare Freddy and requiring Michael to scare them off with the flashlight until Michael managed to survive through all eight nightmares. During these tortures, the Nightmares adopted forms of monstrous Fazbear's franchise animatronics, with Freddles mimicking their father's appearance of the monstrous version of Freddy Fazbear. They kept these forms afterwards as a testament to the corruption of innocense associated with their franchise.

Once William Afton ended up in Hell for his sins and then lost his wager against Nightmare, the Nightmares ended up torturing him with intense cruelty. Freddles also participated, being sent by Nightmare Freddy at one point to devour Afton from inside out, though they didn't interact with the Schmidts at all.

When Vucarik, desiring to rebel against Lucifer and trying to sufficiently distract Nightmare, made a deal with William Afton, he invaded the Nightmares' palace, distracting the clan with diversion attack, grievously injured the Freddles, Nightmare B.B. and Plushtrap, and stole their essences, bestowing them upon Afton and sending the murderer to the mortal world. When the Nightmares discovered this, they were outraged, and Nightmare Chica immediately began to heal the younger Nightmares while the rest of the clan decided to avenge their youth by crushing Vucarik's rebellion, and then sending Afton back to hell.

Once Afton was returned back to Hell, the Freddles and two other Nightmare children were able to recover after being fed their recovered demonic essences along with essences harvested from demons unleashed into Mike Schmidt's mind. Afterwards, when the Nightmares decided to force Afton to relive the suffering of the nightguards who perished at Fazbear-related establishments, the lesser Nightmares were instructed with conducting research on all animatronics related to Freddy Fazbear or Circus Baby franchises. Nightmare Freddy decided to entrust the younger Nightmares, Freddles included, with this job, as they would possess some insight that the older Nightmares don't have and might want revenge on Afton for his and Vucarik's actions.

Trivia[]

Currently, Freddles are the only Nightmares who never spoke or said a single word in the entire fanfic (excluding Nightmare Mangle, who is just a feral beast capable only of making growling noises).
