Freddy Fazbear is the titular character and a major antagonist in the FNaF Rewritten series.

He serves as the secondary antagonist of FNaF Rewritten and is set to return as a major antagonist in FNaF Rewritten: '87 and in an unknown role in FNaF Rewritten: Missing Children.

He is an animatronic bear and the titular mascot of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. While seemingly a fun-loving, child-friendly robotic performer, Freddy is possessed by the spirit of a murdered child named Gabriel Anderson who attempts to kill the security guards who take the night shift at the pizzeria due to mistaking them for his killer.

Appearance[]

Freddy appears as a large, tall, brown animatronic bear with blue eyes and a lighter shade of brown for his muzzle, torso and the center of his ears. He is equipped with a black hat on his head and a black bowtie and two buttons on his chest. His hands are also white to mimic the appearance of having gloves.

Backstory[]

At some point in time, most likely during either the 1970s or 1980s, Freddy Fazbear's pizza was founded in Hurricane, Utah and several animatronic characters were created to serve as performers to entertain children. Freddy Fazbear was created to be the lead performer and mascot of the pizzeria, as well as the entire Fazbear Entertainment franchise.

On January 7th, 1986, a man named William Afton dressed as a cartoon mascot lured a young boy named Gabriel Anderson to a backroom where he murdered the child and stuffed his corpse into the Freddy suit. Shortly after, Gabriel's restless ghost would possess the suit and become eternally vengeful towards his killer, alongside several other victims, who all planned on avenging their deaths by killing William.

FNaF Rewritten[]

At some point during the late 80s or early 90s, a new Freddy Fazbear's Pizza was established and the classic animatronics were taken out of storage, with Freddy regaining his spot as the star performer.

Freddy remains inactive for the first two nights, instead remaining on the Show Stage alongside Bonnie and Chica until the latter two leave to head towards the Office. However, when Night 3 starts, Freddy will activate and begin following a set path towards the Office, which goes as follows:

Show Stage → Dining Area → Restrooms → Kitchen → East Hall → East Hall Corner → The Office.

As mentioned by the Crying Child, Freddy can essentially go anywhere he wants instead of fixing himself to staying within the vicinity of the cameras, instead blending into the dark corners of the pizzeria. Whenever Freddy moves, his traditional deep laugh is heard.

If Freddy is unable to be found in any of the cameras, chances are he's made it to outside the Office's right door. Like the other animatronics, shutting the door will prevent Freddy from entering the Office, otherwise he will jumpscare them, causing a game over. If the player ends up running out of power during the night, after several seconds, Freddy will appear in the left blindspot, with his face flickering as he plays a music box recreation of the Toreador March. After several seconds of playing, the music will cease and Freddy will jumpscare the player. Even though Freddy isn't an active threat during the first two nights, he will still be the one to kill the player if the power runs out. The only way to survive after running out of power is for Freddy's jingle to last long, allowing the player to miraculously make it to 6 AM.
