Frigid is a major antagonist? of Order and Entropy

Frigid is one of the Seven Fortresses along with being The Herald of winter and famine and a deity of death

Originally, Frigid was only a doctor who's main goal was to heal the sick. but after growing increasingly frustrated with her region's healthcare system that often fails to actually help those in need. she began to descend into nihilism and devoted her life to researching the very nature and laws of the world she knew. but once she had realized the truth of her existence (one that she had initially refused to accept), she attempted to end her own life to free herself from the cycle of rebirth and death which caused her to be reborn as an effigy of the now twisted and warped will of the ancient aspects of darkness tasked with essentially destroying the universe and cleaning up the remnants so it can start anew again (aka, The Resolution of Darkness), for only then is she finally granted the peace of death

Overview[]

Frigid only appears a few times during the beginning arc of Order and Entropy. initially, her goal during the story was to kill the other Fortresses to enact The resolution of darkness, one that she had prepared for by attempting to gaslight herself into thinking that all of them deserved to die, that she was the one doing a favor for the now deceased members of the aspects of darkness, with their will living on inside of her, and taking on the mantle of a deity of death

But once she had reunited with Fern and come to realize that part of the prophecy had already been fulfilled by Wraith. she begins to regret her decisions, knowing that she had grown to be attached to the very individuals that she had sought out to kill. It's at this point in the story that she begins to show signs of reverting back to her old self that was once caring and hospitable in contrast to her previously aloof and cold nature, but also developing an appetite for the light of the newly formed stars that illuminate the shattered land once again
