Ganondorf also known as The Shadow Don is a major antagonist in the 2008-2009 web series There Will Be Brawl by The Escapist. He was once a major Adversary of Hyrule until the collapse of it and has now become one of the four major dons in the Mushroom Kingdom who plots to rule it.
He is protrayed by Matthew Mercer who also voices MetaKnight and Kirby in the same series.
Personality[]
Ganondorf in comparison to most of the other villains is much less crazy instead, he is psychopathic when he was willing to kill Zelda for betraying him, Power-hungry as he only sees Kirby's reign as a means to an end for his own interests, calm, and intelligent when he intimidates Angel for his criticism. He is also a master manipulator, being able to trick Zelda into joining his side and manipulates Luigi throughout most of the series. He however, does have some level of honour, admiring the days where heroes and villains fought for their lives and for their country, being dismayed at its impeachment during the economic crash. He even looks down upon the Butchers for being more viler than himself.

Background[]
Ganondorf was once a major villain in the land of Hyrule prior to its hardship, it then began to suffer an economic collapse which he himself was dismayed at the country being accomplished by two elections that affected his goal of conquering it beforehand, by the actions of both Mewtwo and Kirby, though he becomes one of the four major crime lords in the Mushroom Kingdom. He would end up coming into contact with the Butchers Ness & Lucas who were sent to him by his army of "demons" after discovering him sulking in the Kingdom’s underbelly, seeking to take over the glowing towers before the cannibal’s reign.
Both children who were being raised by Mewtwo as its sole surviving subjects. Ganondorf would become a sort of mentor to them by setting The Butchers loose and have them kill Mewtwo and more bloodshed to practice their strengths, but quickly realized that they were beyond his control. At some point he would also convince Zelda to join his side under the promise of restoring Hyrule to its former glory while remaining in the shadows to await the chance to take power to rule the empty spaces of the forgotten relics.
The Series[]
Ganondorf doesn't do much in the series but is more a pivotal character Luigi faces through his journey. His first appearance is early on when he has Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong kidnap Luigi so he can blackmail to deliver a pendant to a man called "the End of Days" from the immigrant Tent City (an abandoned turf by Mewtwo), He was also the one who ordered Wario to blow up Red's place killing him and several Pokémon in the process. As Captain Falcon leads Luigi, Samus, Red and Pit to talk to Bowser, they find Ganondorf waiting for them in a warehouse. Ganondorf reveals that Captain Falcon led Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong to Luigi when they left Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, and half-halfheartedly attempts to instigate internal conflicts within the group, but fails. Claiming that Bowser is planning to make his final claim to the Mushroom Kingdom.
Ganondorf would later also come into contact with the Game & Watch demons who deemed The End of Days to be too weak, he would begin his final plan to take control of the Mushroom Kingdom. During the attack, he would kill Zelda and Link, who had turned on him after both realizing they had been manipulated by him. However, he ends up being chased off after the attack of the Game and Watch monster and flees to the Butcher's lair.
Ganondorf would meat Luigi in the butchers lair and reveals that the butchers are two psychic boys called Ness & Lucas who were created by Mewtwo, including the corpses of their victims. However the butchers turned on Ganondorf and tortured him while he was monologuing, Ganondorf was then chased by Luigi on top the rooftops, where he awaited the latter as he relishes on the darkness the Cannibal and the Butchers will outlive everyone, where he would eventually be impaled by the hands of Kirby (disguised as MetaKnight), Ganondorf attempts to conjure a dark projectile at the cannibal but was stopped by Ness and Lucas, Kirby thanks the Bandit King for watching over the Butchers during his imprisonment before decapitating the latter instantly. His severed head would be later be thrown by Luigi to be a sign of victory after blasting Kirby and bringing peace, ending the last of the Mafia Dons once and for all.

- Funnily enough, Matthew Mercer would later go on to voice Ganondorf in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in 2023, which is an official Zelda project. Whether or not his role in this series had anything to do with it though is unknown.
