Gaston Roberts is a major antagonist in Friends I Don't Have franchise, a fanfic reboot for Scream, serving as the main antagonist in The Most Dangerous Movie and as the posthumous overarching antagonist in Going Fourth. Gaston was Sidney Prescott's cousin and Jill Roberts' older brother, who murdered his and Jill's shared mother prior to the events of The Most Dangerous Movie, and later decided to kill Sidney because he considers her as the ultimate prey due to surviving two different killing sprees.
He was portrayed by Luke Evans, who also portrayed the 2022 version of Coachman in the canon Pinocchio.
Victims[]
- Kate Roberts (his own mother) - Her throat was slashed with a kitchen knife when she was asleep.
- Sarah Darling - Shoved to the wall and got strangled to death.
- Steven Stone - Got shot in his face with a shotgun, stabbed in the back and slammed in the head with a frying pan.
- Joshua Wallace- Got shot, and later Gaston stabbed the already dead body a couple more times because he was pissed-off.
- Karen Kolcheck - Got stabbed in the neck with a hunting knife.
- Roman Bridger (his own cousin) - Got shot multiple times.
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- Murdered Kate Roberts (his own mother) in her sleep before the story even began.
- Wished to claim his own cousin Sidney's life as if she was a trophy, which means that at the very least he considered his own family as no better than animals.
- Unlike Jill, who was envious both because she felt unloved and because she wanted to become famous, Gaston Was motivated by his own sense of greatness rather than envy, which makes him even more petty.
- His kills were among the most brutal in the franchise, with Scott Riley being one of his few competitors (if not the only one). However, Scott was a grieving father who had several redeeming qualities, while Gaston was completely selfish.
- The only killer in Friends I Don't Have franchise who has no Freudian excuse at all.
- Worked with Angelina Tyler, another murderous narcissist, planning on leaving her alone with Sidney and frame her as the only killer from the beginning.
- Held Gale and Martha at gunpoint and threatened Sidney to give in and let him kill her, or else he would shoot his hostages. Gaston's personality and behavior make it clear that he would've shot Gale and Karen even if Sidney let him kill her.
- Murdered Roman, who's Sidney's brother and his cousin, just because he didn't like the fact someone protects Sidney.
- After Roman emptied all of Gaston's bullets and stabbed him in the last of his strengths, Gaston forgot all about the thrill of the hunt and attempted to kill Sidney out of sheer spite before being shot to death by Lara.
- Set the chain of events for Jill's revenge in Going Fourth. To make things worse, Jill is far less vile in this version than in the canon version, which means she really did care about her uncaring brother.
Trivia[]
- Gaston Roberts is named and casted after Gaston LeGume. However, the former completely lacks the comedic moments and sympathetic aspects of the latter.
- So far Gaston is the first Complete Monster in the main universe who's an original character.
- Originally Gaston was supposed to kill Martha and fail at killing Karen, until the writer realized that Chad and Mindy Meeks-Martin (Martha's twin son and daughter, respectively) would be impossible to write because they need their mother to be born in the first place.
- Gaston's presence is a major reason for why this version of Jill isn't pure evil. If Gaston was present in the canon universe, there's a big chance that the canon Jill wouldn't be pure evil either.
