~ General Boggs confronting Fortus before attempting to kill him for honor |
General Boggs is a supporting antagonist turned protagonist in the 2019 fanfilm/presentation Nicholas. He is a ruthless and greedy general working for the notorious Duke Von Boom and commanding his militants with an iron fist. He is also an arch rival to another general in the name of Fortus, as they both compete to become The Duke's favorite generals.
History[]
General Boggs was a commander and top general of a military force which protected the lands of Dutopia. He answered only to the Duke Von Boom and he developed rivalry with an equal general in the name of Fortus, as they both competed in order to become The Duke's favorite general in the lands. Fortus tried to hide his wife Enyla away from The Duke and his men, whom tried to execute her for treason and dark sorcery. However, it was too late, as the guards led by General Boggs found her, and Boggs handed her to The Duke, who decided to imprison her and lock her up in The Tower of Traitors, just before Clive offered her an escape and then he turned her into his evil queen. However, soon Clive would betray Enyla for her sister Queen Jula and have her banished to the human world. General Boggs then noticed her return and found her with Nicholas in the church, as he attempted to kill them both. However, he and the senator and priest of the church Dryfus were stopped by Fauna who revealed herself to be Dryfus's daughter and asked her father and Boggs to spare both Nicholas and Enyla. Dryfus then ordered Boggs not to kill them, and went off to explain to Nicholas about his journey, alongside Enyla and Fauna. However, General Boggs stayed behind and contacted Duke Von Boom via hologram as he told The Duke about a bunch of traitors wandering around his lands. The Duke then realized that Fortus was lying to him when he said that he never saw Enyla and her allies. Duke Von Boom decided to first take care of the traitors, and then let Boggs assassinate his rival general. General Boggs and The Duke then confront Nicholas, Dryfus, Fauna and Enyla. Dryfus however explained to the paranoid duke of the lands about the truth; that they are only here to save the world from the darkness and not to support the darkness itself. Duke Von Boom however refuses to believe that, and orders his men to kill the "treacherous monsters". Boggs and his men then fire their munitions on Dryfus, thus ending the priest's life for good. General Fortus however entered the scene via teleportation and asked The Duke to stop attacking his friends, as he also mistakenly calls him Von Boom without mentioning his title. The Duke then replies that first Fortus must call him "Duke Von Boom", and also threatened him that if he does not kill the traitors he will have to join them and be killed by Boggs. Boggs taunts Fortus and sarcastically asks him how it feels to join the loosing side. Nicholas however grants his first wish out of 3 wishes (to escape Duke Von Boom and his soldiers and find a path to the dark castle). They teleport themselves to another location via Nicholas's spell, and the fed up Duke orders Boggs and the soldiers to find the traitors, and finish them off so there will be no more darkness in Dutopia. Boggs manages to find and catch both Fauna and Nicholas and he hands them both over to The Duke, who attempts to hang them up, but then regrets it for realizing the truth and lets his two captives go. Boggs then asks his rival Fortus (accompanied by Enyla and the dark Queen Jula) for help. He adds that most of the soldiers and citizens of the lands were already killed by Clive and that now the dark king is back and he is about to mutilate The Duke inside the castle's throne room. Boggs later congratulated Nicholas as Duke Von Boom ranked him as the new gladiator of the lands. Thereafter, a redeemed General Boggs managed to live his life happily ever after.
