General Armitage Hux, later known as Supreme Leader Hux, is depicted here as the secondary antagonist of the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

He appears as one of the two main antagonists (alongside Kylo Ren) of the The Force Awakens, a major antagonist of The Last Jedi, and the secondary antagonist of the finale fanfilm Balance of the Force. He also serves as the overarching antagonist of the Star Wars: Order trilogy, acting as one of the main antagonists in its first episode, and the unseen overarching antagonist of the next two chapters. He will also make his appearance in the prequel series Star Wars: Nexus.

He is the delusional, ruthless and destructive general and later the supreme leader of the First Order, who answers to Snoke and Palpatine, and orchestrates most of the events of the trilogy.

He is portrayed by Domhnall Gleeson.

History[]

Star Wars: Order[]

During the times in which Hux was the supreme leader, he appeared as he first visited a First Order starship. He came to meet General Emmonuel Zorf and field agent Kentol Marsen, with a purpose to review their plans to build a mega weapon. Hux however was informed by Marsen (during his meeting with Zorf) that two spies were found in the primary control room. Hux came with Zorf to kill them, but both Jon Slatter and Corby have escaped. Hux scolds at Zorf for failing to see to the spy problem as he then leaves the ship. He leaves the mission to Marsen, who joyfully prepares himself for an invasion above the Resistance areas and a superweapon under his own control.

Star Wars: Balance of the Force[]

General Hux at first assists Kylo Ren against the Resistance as they both prepare the troops for a massive battle on an icy planet as against The Resistance. Hux however finds an important key which could release Emperor Palpatine from his prison. Kylo orders him not to use it, but he dissobeys as the troops then turn on Ren and Hux becomes the current supreme leader. As the Supreme Leader of the First Order, Hux marches first into Palpatine's tomb, with the troops and Ren behind him. He then rescues Palpatine and brings him to the ready made Death Star III.

Hux introduces himself to the Emperor and claims to be the Supreme Leader. The Emperor wasn't so impressed by him, as he wanted Rey to take his throne. Hux then orders his troops to start the war. Hux watches everything as he sits inside one of the mechanisms which belong to the First Order. Hux then meets Palpatine, who asks him to bring Rey before him. Hux encounters Rey on the top of a bridge and reveals himself to be the killer of her parents. Rey at first tries to strike him down with her lightsaber. However, she does not do that since she does not want to turn to the dark side. She leaves Hux and flies back to the other Resistance members.

The Emperor then scolds Hux for his failure, and Hux promises to make things right without betraying Palpatine's trust. Hux then orders General Alahan Ruffles to fire the weapon of the third Death Star at an unnamed desert planet. The Supreme Leader talks to Captain Jayson, who has captured Chewbecca for him, as long as Hux gives him a higher rank then Ruffles. However, Hux captures the Resistance crew later, and he aims a gun at them, but then decides to shoot the Stormtroopers and rescue the good guys in order to overthrow Palpatine. He orders his officers to leave the Resistance alone. However, Ruffles betrays him as he hands Jayson a gun and has Hux shot to death and the machinery prepared on all the nearby planets.
