Ava Starr, also known by her superhero identity The Ghost, is the secondary antagonist of the 2021 fanfilm/presentation X-Men Halloween. She is a close friend turned nemesis of Psylocke as well as a superheroine working for S.H.I.E.L.D, who later joined HYDRA as she has reunited her old mate since the days at school, Daniel Butcher. Daniel and Ava plotted to reshape the world and force everyone to give them respect.
She is portrayed by Rachel Weisz, who also played Evanora from Oz: The Great and Powerful.

Background[]
Ava Starr was a shy and lonely girl, who never used to have any friends during her school time. The only one who respected her was her childhood friend and mate Jackson Pollard, who later changed his identity to Daniel Butcher. Jackson and Ava played together all the time, as they were often disrespected by the others and abused by their cruel teacher. While Ava found a life outside her shelter, Jackson / Daniel has spent many years plotting revenge on the entire universe. Eventually, Ava Starr started working with Psylocke / Elizabeth Braddock at the S.H.I.E.L.D superhero museum, as the two have become very close friends.
Becoming a superheroine[]
During her day at work, Ava and Elizabeth were ordered by their boss Phil Coulson to keep an eye on the museum and guide it's visitors while he does some other work. Psylocke then offers Ava to become a superheroine who protects the world for S.H.I.E.L.D. Ava agrees, and the two exit the museum as they call the new employee to replace them. The new employee was actually Daniel, who was planning to kill Phil Coulson and steal the iron jack from the museum's shelf during his shift. Daniel then became a supervillainous terrorist called the Jack O' Lantern. Ava then joined the S.H.I.E.L.D forces and became a superheroine who can turn invisible called The Ghost. Ava and Psylocke went to stop the Jack O' Lantern and save everyone from an apocalypse.
Reuniting with the Jack O' Lantern[]
Ava and Psylocke then saved a kid from the Jack O' Lantern's wrath, as The Ghost used her powers and held Daniel captive. Daniel however shot laser at her and escaped from the two superheroines. Ava and Psylocke went to stop him at Cable's superbar, and the three have started fighting each other. However, during the battle, Daniel reveals himself to be Jackson Pollard, Ava's old schoolmate. He reminds her of her past and successfully convinces her to join him and bring hope to a newer world where nobody shall ever disrespect them. Ava then betrays Psylocke, and even knocks her out and then attempts to kill her. Daniel however reminds The Ghost that they will need her for bigger plans later on. Victor Creed however rescued Psylocke while she was unconscious and brought her to his house. Meanwhile, at the HYDRA base, Ava Starr discussed matters with Daniel and the ruthless HYDRA agent Jasper Sitwell. Jasper threatened to have them both tortured if they don't complete their tasks soon enough. In the meanwhile, Victor and Psylocke went to the fields in which Psylocke used to play with her own childhood friend. However, the invisible Ghost spied after them while they were romantically discussing and kissing with each other, and she signaled the Jack O' Lantern to enter the scene. Victor Creed warns Jack O' Lantern that if he touches Psylocke he will pay a high price. The Mad Jack however shoots Victor, thus killing him off. The enraged Psylocke tries to smash and kill Daniel, but The Ghost injects her from behind with a special serum and as a result, she fainted and due to the side effects, she spitted out the truth about the location of the hero crystal which the Jack O' Lantern and The Ghost have wanted to obtain. The Ghost headed with the Jack O' Lantern towards a water dam, which the mad jack was planning to destroy it with his powers so the water will flood the Thames Tunnels and the doorway to the cave in which the crystal lies shall break off the wall. While the Jack O' Lantern was trying to break the dam, The Ghost went to make sure that if Psylocke comes to stop them, she will be destroyed.
Final battle and redemption[]
In the tunnels, The Ghost has found Psylocke. Psylocke however told her that they do not have to battle each other, because there are other solutions. The jealous and enraged Ghost is desperate to be more fancy and popular than Psylocke, so she begins to attack Psylocke and the two have a massive battle agains one another. Eventually, Ava Starr told Psylocke that even if she wants to change things for the real good, it's still to late. Psylocke convinces her to redeem herself, and the two put their differences aside as a redeemed Ghost joins Psylocke for a final fight against The Jack O' Lantern. Eventually, The Ghost electrocutes The Mad Jack, and he is then sent to prison. It's unknown what happens next to Ava Starr, despite her promised redemption. However, she most likely rejoined S.H.I.E.L.D and became friends again with Psylocke.
