The Ghost of Captain Cutler is a enemy of Mystery Incorporated, and a villain in the Character What franchise. He was originally a costume design by the real Captain Cutler to steal yachts and sell them for profit. Captain Cutler later transform into a real monster by Shadow Aaron and became a member of The Forces of Evil.
Personality[]
Being a deceased ghost, Captain Cutler only communicate through moans and groans. Despite his ghostly state, he is very loyal toward Shadow Aaron and follows his orders without question, he also has some level of intelligence as shown when he know how operate the controls in the Octopot
Background[]
In the main timeline, The real Captain Cutler and his faked their deaths when his ship sink into the bottom of the ocean and wears a ghostly diving suit covered in glowing seaweed to scare away divers so can steal yachts and sell them to make wealth for him and his wife. However, he was unmasked by Mystery Incorporated and his costume was donated to the Coolsonian Criminology Museum for display.
In the live-action timeline, The Ghost of Captain Cutler was a costume stolen from this version of the Coolsonian Criminology Museum and brought to life as a real monster by the Evil Masked Figure's control panel. But was turned back into a costume when the live-action version of Scooby-Doo reverse polarity of the monster making process, and his costume was return to the museum.
The live-action counterpart of the Ghost of Captain Cutler was later turned back a real monster by Shadow Aaron and join him in his intergalactic empire.
Character What: Tales[]
In Captain Cutler's Ghost Returns, Captain Hook and his crew breaks into Coolsonian Criminology Museum to steal Captain Cutler's costume as part of his plan to search underwater for Blackbread's lost treasure in Neverland. He also wear the costume to scare away Tick-Tock Crocodile and the Octopus so they would not get in his way. However, Shadow Joe soon found out that Hook stolen Captain Cutler's costume he went to him and take back the costume from him. In the end, Hook was unmasked and chase by the Crocodile and the Octopus after being exposed in front of them while Shadow Joe returns Captain Cutler's costume back to the museum.
Character What: Hero Force[]
In Monsters Attack, Shadow Aaron break into the museum and used his powers bring the Ghost of Captain Cutler along with the other costumes in the museum to life as real monsters to serve him as loyal minions.
In The Octonauts and the Villains, Cutler was among the aquatic or water-based villains teaming up with Shadow Aaron to take over the Octonauts' Octopot and use the pot for their benefits, Cutler was mostly used to help scare away the predators in the ocean so they will not get in their way. Once Shadow Aaron and the villains gained control over the Octopot, Cutler help Shadow Aaron operate the Octopot's control system. Later, when Shadow Joe and his team help the Octonauts get their Octopot back, Cutler partake in the fight against Shadow Joe and his team. After the villains were outmatch, Cutler escapes from the battle with the other villains.
Character What: Ultimate Hero[]
In Not Alone, it is revealed that Cutler was turned back into costume as a result of Shadow Aaron's death in The End of Shadow Aaron, and was taken back to the museum along with the other monster costumes by Shadow Joe who somehow managed to obtain the costumes.
