Giegue (ギーグ, Gyiyg), also known as Giygas, is the main antagonist of Mother: Cognitive Dissonance. He is part of a race of aliens (known by fans as the Geeg) that became came into contact with Earth in the 20th century. He was raised by the abducted humans known as George and Maria, for two years, until George betrayed his race and gave PSI to Earth by himself.
After this, Giegue has begun to search for the Apple of Enlightment which would bring prophecy of his ultimate defeat at the hands of Ness, while also dealing with his mental health outbreaking.
Biography[]
He shares the same actions and biography as his canon counter part, having been the leader of the alien race who sought to conquer Earth in 198x decades after George's betrayal, but giving up when Ninten and his friends reminded him of his adoptive mother, through singing the eight melodies, leading him to return to his home planet.
He is first seen in space, gazing upon space succeeding his humiliating defeat from Earth, then watching a video on his battle with Ninten, Ana and Loid. Some time late, he uses his PSI to further detach himself from his human emotions, which leads to the creation of Niiue, a physical manifestation of his good emotions. After he abandons his ship, he crashes into Saturn, then kills Alinivar, which sets the King Mook to go on his adventure.
