Fenton Crackshell, better known by his alter-ego Gizmoduck is a Disney cartoon character originally from DuckTales. This evil version of Gizmoduck is more of a supervillain than a superhero.
Background[]
On the surface, Fenton seemed to have had a decent childhood, being raised by a loving family. However, this is not entirely accurate, as there were some rough spots of his early life. One example of these is the mysterious absence of his father, with some saying that he died, and others saying he left his family for an unknown reason. In any case, Fenton was raised solely by his mother, a police officer and soap opera enthusiast. Fenton would do his best in school, but on the rare occasions that he would experience "failure," he would become a target for bullying. If he ever made efforts to fight back, he would either fail miserably or get wrongfully punished while his tormentors seemingly got away Scott-free. This would make Fenton feel very upset, and he vowed to get revenge on any and all of his bullies one day.
As he entered adulthood, Fenton enthusiastically expresses his plans to expand his educational qualifications, particularly a degree or two in areas such as science, business, and accounting. During this time, he accepted an apprentice/internship by popular scientist, inventor, and college professor Gyro Gearlose. The friendship between the two was rocky at first, since Fenton's awkwardness led to some minor mishaps, but as time went on, they formed a strong bond, with Gyro even calling Fenton his favorite apprentice. Fenton also fell in love with Gandra Dee, who was pursuing similar aspirations and also found him to be likeable, though she would play hard to get, which Fenton didn't mind, for he always enjoyed a good challenge.
Eventually, Fenton earns his degree(s) and begins to plan out his career with excitement. Gyro gives him a boost by referring him to Scrooge McDuck, the famous business tycoon and adventurer who is the world's richest duck. Fenton meets Scrooge, who, although slightly skeptical, hires him as an accountant.
Personality[]
As his normal self, Fenton is a kind and caring duck who loves his friends, family, and even his love interest, Gandra Dee, who also shares his love for books, science, and other interests of his. Whenever he becomes Gizmoduck, he puts on the act of being a concerned protector for the world, but there is also a villainous side to his super-alter-ego, where he desires to cause trouble. One would say that having the attitude of a typical supervillain couldn't have anything darker beyond that. However, some say that there is a much more sinister side, not to Gizmoduck, but to Fenton Crackshell himself. Whenever Fenton is around others, be it multiple people or just one other person, he maintains his positivity and enthusiasm. But when he gets alone, he starts thinking very dark thoughts and even finds himself entertaining the idea of partaking in ventures that are much more disturbing than the things even the average supervillain would do, all for reasons he can't seem to explain.
