The God of Light is one of the overarching antagonists of the RWBY fanfiction White Sheep (written by Coeur Al'Aran) and one of the final antagonists, alongside his brother the God of Darkness.
He is one of the two cosmic and nigh-omnipotent deities called the Brother Gods, who created Remnant. The God of Light embodies order, creation and light where his brother the God of Darkness embodies chaos, destruction and darkness. That having been said, the God of Light, on top of sharing responsibility with his brother for much of the destruction, death and suffering that's afflicted Remnant's inhabitants over thousands of years; is extremely controlling, obsessed with order, hypocritical, and unable to accept fault in himself. Upon being summoned back to Remnant with the four Relics after thousands of years, as he originally instructed Ozpin to do, he wants to recreate Remnant on his own terms and maintain his sole hegemony as the strongest God at any cost. Firstly he intends to eradicate every Grimm hybrid on the planet including Salem's innocent half-human children and Yang for being bonded to a Grimm arm, and later he threatens to wipe out all of humanity in rage for them rejecting his plan.
Personality[]
When first summoned, the God of Light has a sophisticated, stoic and affable demeanor, and he shows a slight wit. Underneath that, however, the God of Light's actions and decisions demonstrate a ruthless and hypocritical control freak, who is incapable to a pathological degree of acknowledging fault in himself or understanding when he's in the wrong, always insisting that it's his creations' or his brother's faults for being fallacious when they don't bend to his wants and way of things. Unlike his brother, the God of Light remains obsessed with perfecting their past creations on Remnant according to his vision, but when they disappoint him and defy him, he threatens to wipe them all out and start over in fury. The God of Light gaslights the God of Darkness into accepting their arrangement which favors the God of Light as the "balanced" way of things, yet Light himself repeatedly goes behind his brother's back and breaks his own rules; by forcing Ozma to resurrect for millennia after Light punished Salem for her wanting Ozma resurrected once, and creating the Relics and Silver Eyes to ensure there's more of his magic than his brother's in the world. At his core, the God of Light can't accept nor stand the idea of his brother having as much or more power than him.
