Gold is one of the Pokemon Trainers in the Gumbino videos as well as one of the protagonists of the "if Pokemon Trainers were in" series.

Like all other villain protagonists in Gumbino, Gold is a abusive Pokémon Trainer who mistreats his own Pokémon and only cares about winning, even if it means making his own Pokémon die.

Personality[]

Just like Ash Ketchum, he is pretty humorous, sending low level pokemon to die and saying that he hated them after their defeat and coming up with a incosistent team because it is funny.

He is also pretty abusive and agressive towards his pokémon, making them commit suicide, threatening to torture or kill them if they don't attack and only sending his best pokemon after all of the others have died.

History[]

What Rare Candy does to a Pokémon[]

In his first appearance, Gold goes to a Poke Mart with his clefairy. He asks the owner if he can make his Pokemon stronger while talking about how much of a dissapointment his Clefairy is. The Poke Mart owner shows Gold a rare candy and explains that it can make Pokémon stronger just by eating it, Gold believes it and buys the rare candy.

Outside of the store, Gold forced Clefairy to eat the rare candy even through it didn't want to, the Clefairy evolved and got a bodybuilder body. Clefairy then starts violently punching Gold while stating he always wanted to do that. Suddenly a random kid appears and catches Clefairy with a Master Ball.

Gold tries to convince the kid to give him back the Clefairy, but the kid refuses and goes away.

Gold vs Red Pokemon Battle[]

Gold, after one week of training, decided to challenge the Pokemon Champion Red. He went to Mt. Silver, killed the three legendary birds (Moltres, Articuno and Zapdos) and challenged Red to a battle.

At the start of the battle, Red sent his only pokemon: a level 81 Pikachu, while Gold sent a level 12 Pidgey. Pidgey said he wouldn't be able to defeat it, but Gold threatened to hit with a Poké belt if he didn't attack and forced him to use tackle. Pidgey tried to attack but it gave zero damage. Then the pidgey was killed by a thunderbolt sent by the Pikachu. After his death, Gold claimed he did that because he hated the pidgey. Gold then sent a level 10 Rhyhorn, which was also killed by the Pikachu's thunderbolt. Gold once again claimed he hated him.

Gold sent a level 2 Ampharos and a Primeape, both which commited suicide after seeing the situation. Gold sent a level 12 Gyarados and threatened to kill it if it didn't fight the Pikachu, but Red told him to stop killing his own Pokémon and fight serious. Gold then put gyarados back in the Pokéball and sent a level 71 Typhlosion. Red questions why is Typhlosion his only high level Pokémon, and Gold answers "I don't know, i just thought it was funny".

Red's Pikachu kept using thunderbolt while Gold kept spamming Full Restores until Pikachu was out of PP for thunderbolt and was forced to use tackle, which didn't give as much damage. Typhlosion immediately uses earthquake as Gold then told him, and one-hit knocked Pikachu out. Gold then leaved Mt. Silver bragging about how he beat the Pokemon Champion and how he is gonna tell everyone about it.
