Fredbear, also known as Golden Freddy, is one of the two secondary antagonists of the Five Nights in Anime videogame series (alongside Spring-Bonnie), serving as a major antagonist of the videogame Five Nights in Anime, one of the two secondary antagonists of the videogame Five Nights in Anime 2 (alongside Spring-Bonnie) and the main antagonist of the canceled videogame FNIA: Ultimate Location. She's a mysterious animatronic resembling Freddy Fazbear.
Golden Freddy doesn't seem to be too different from her fellow animatronics, although her usually neutral facial expressions might imply she's somewhat calmer or more apathetic compared to the rest of them.
The third game seems to show she has a darker side, with her jumpscare showing her killing the guard in a seemingly more serious way.
Biography[]
Five Nights in Anime[]
Golden Freddy starts in the closet alongside Spring-Bonnie, appearing randomly in the office starting from night 4. The only way to avoid a jumpscare from her is simply pulling up the monitor, just like Golden Freddy from the original game.
Five Nights in Anime 2[]
Golden Freddy returns in the second game, becoming active from night 5.
Just like the first game, she starts in the closet with Spring-Bonnie, but she doesn't appear in the office directly. Instead, she moves to Party Room 2 and then possibly Vent 2. Pulling the monitor up won't work on her this time and the only way to keep her away when she arrives in the office is by ringing the phone to lure her away.
FNIA: Ultimate Location[]
Golden Freddy, now mainly known as Fredbear, returns in the third game as well.
Unlike her previous appearances, she doesn't act as a direct threat (and can't even be seen anywhere on the cameras). Instead, she has a role similar to Freddy's in the first game, attacking only when the office runs out of power.
Trivia[]
In the first game, Phone Guy mentions Golden Freddy as a spring locksuit, implying that Golden Freddy is also Fredbear, which is shown to be the true in the third game.
Similarly to the original Golden Freddy, she is unaffected by the doors.
Unlike the original Golden Freddy, she does not have a bowtie on her neck.
She and Funtime Chica are the only animatronics in the entire series to have a jumpscare that's not sexual in any way.
Her jumpscare in the third game is also the only jumpscare in the entire series to not be comedic at all.
