Fredbear, later known as Golden Freddy, is the main antagonist of The Unwithered Truth's Five Nights at Freddy's: ANNIVERSARY, a concept of what a hypothetical reboot of the first Five Nights at Freddy's game would look like if the story had been planned from the very beginning.
He is an enigmatic and mysterious ghost-like entity who was once the titular mascot of the first ever Fazbear Entertainment establishment, Fredbear's Family Diner. However, the animatronic would be reduced to just a spare springlock suit after accidentally biting and killing William Afton's youngest son in 1983, which eventually caused the boy to possess the animatronic. However, he wouldn't be the only one.
Golden Freddy would also be possessed by the vengeful spirit of Cassidy — a little girl who was murdered by William Afton by stuffing her into the Fredbear springlock suit whilst still alive. Due to this, Cassidy utterly despises William for taking her life and is ultimately determined to make him pay for all of eternity.
